I was coming to visit my daughter from California but my flight was canceled and rescheduled to the next day. She goes to college out there and her dorm is closed for renovations over a weekend. She's a freshman and doesn't know anyone well enough to ask their parents if she could stay. This hotel wouldn't let her stay since she was under 21 and didn't care about the circumstance. This is not a MA law that you have to be 21+ and is just their policy. I was saddened by their complete disregard for us. The person on the phone also told me it as LAW and I would never find a place. If anyone else is in his tricky position…it is NOT…it is just their policy. Thankfully I don't believe her and found a hotel a town over that helped us.

However, it's important to note the specific age policy, which states that guests must be 21 years or older to book and check-in unless accompanied by an adult, a point of concern highlighted by a recent guest review. The hotel explicitly states that children under 13 stay free when sharing a room with parents or a legal guardian. Also, pets are allowed in designated pet-friendly rooms for a fee of $20 per pet, per night, with specific policies regarding weight, number of pets, and supervision. Service animals complying with ADA Title III regulations are also allowed.
The features of Falmouth Inn contribute to its appeal as an accessible and amenity-rich option. The highlight is undoubtedly the indoor pool, which is generally well-maintained and open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily. Children under 18 years old are not allowed in the swimming pool without adult supervision. There is also a hot tub, though recent reviews suggest it may sometimes be out of service. Guest rooms are individually furnished and decorated, offering a comfortable and clean space. Each room typically includes a flat-screen TV with cable channels (some with HBO), a phone with free local calls, air conditioning, and heating. Many rooms are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee/tea makers, offering added convenience for longer stays or for preparing snacks. Bathrooms feature combined shower/tubs, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. The inn also has an on-site restaurant, "Limani," and a bar, "The Vine" (also referred to as Shipwreck Lounge and Captain's Quarters), providing dining and beverage options directly at the property, with hours varying. For business travelers, a 24-hour business center and meeting facilities are available, including a function hall for larger gatherings with 2500 square feet (232 square meters) of conference space. Safety features on site include carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, a security system, a first aid kit, and window guards. The property is a 100% smoke, vape, and flame-free facility in all guest rooms, common areas, decks, balconies, and grounds. While some amenities might not be extensive, such as a dedicated workout room, the presence of a large indoor pool is a significant draw for many. Rooms also typically include irons/ironing boards and fans.
From a promotional standpoint, Falmouth Inn emphasizes its value, convenient location, and array of amenities. It positions itself as an ideal choice for affordable beach escapes at any time of year, catering to families, couples, and various recreational groups. The proximity to Falmouth's main attractions is a key selling point. The hotel is located on Main Street (Route 28), making it easily accessible. It is approximately one mile from the beach and downtown Falmouth, offering a short stroll to the sand or to browse charming boutiques and restaurants. The Island Queen Ferry dock, which provides day cruises to Martha's Vineyard, is also conveniently located just a few minutes' walking distance away. Woods Hole is about a 10-minute drive. The inn highlights its clean, modern, and cozy accommodations, as well as complimentary perks like Wi-Fi and breakfast. Activities such as hiking/biking trails, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, windsurfing, and a nearby golf course are also promoted, offering guests a variety of recreational opportunities close by. The presence of an on-site restaurant and bar further enhances the guest experience. The hotel also promotes its year-round operation, making it a viable option regardless of the season. Its proximity to grocery, pharmacy, and liquor stores, which are steps from the Inn, adds to the convenience for guests.
While the Falmouth Inn generally aims to provide a pleasant stay with good amenities and a convenient location, it is crucial for potential guests to be aware of certain aspects. The age policy of requiring guests to be 21 or older to book and stay (unless accompanied by an adult) is a strict policy that has caused distress for some. Additionally, recent reviews have noted some issues with amenities like the hot tub and the quality of the complimentary breakfast. However, many guests still appreciate the helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and the overall value and location the inn offers. Considering its central location and the range of facilities, Falmouth Inn remains a viable option for those looking for a hotel in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Falmouth, provided they are aware of and comfortable with its specific policies and recent guest feedback.

Feb 14, 2025 · Richard MasonThis hotel is right next to Guv Fuller Field where the Falmouth Commodores, one of the 10 teams of the Cape Cod League, play. If you get a room on 2nd floor, at rear, and far end of building, you can see the field and hear some of the announcements. Really fun if you're into the baseball! They advertise hot breakfast but should be advertised more as continental. There was some type of egg "discs" that looked very unappealing. Had a sausage which had good taste but was VERY greasy. Otherwise, there was dry cereal, muffins, make your own waffles, beverages and bananas. Not much in the way of protein. Staff kept food well stocked. Cleaning staff was very enthusiastic to clean rooms. We re-used towels during our stay so only requested new trash can liners. Didn't get to use the pool but it looked very nice.
Jul 29, 2024 · Marie MorelandOn July 23, I reserved a room at the Falmouth Inn hotel and was charged for the full amount on the same day, even though the stay was not until September 20th. This was unusual as hotels typically charge at the time of service or closer to the stay date. When I arrived on September 20th, I found the room to be in an unacceptable condition. There were visible signs of unsanitary conditions, including hairs and body fluids on the bed. I immediately approached the front desk and expressed my concerns, requesting a refund. The front desk contacted the owner, who refused to issue a refund despite the state of the room. While they did offer us an alternate room, the poor cleanliness throughout the facility made it impossible for us to stay there. Due to the condition of the hotel and the premature charge for an unsatisfactory service and business. Following up to the reply to the manager, no action was taken and I have yet to be contacted by the manager.
Oct 25, 2024 · Natalie GrahamStayed here in May 2024. Sheets were clean, shower was hot. Room AC, microwave & Fridge did work, room and people were all fine. To open the door, present card, wait for the green light and then either shoulder or hip your way into the room due to a latch clearance issue. Biggest issue with the hotel was the understanding that breakfast was included, which, is no lie, but the quality and service was very poor in that only one toaster and only 2 of the 4 slices toasted. No tea offered, a single waffle machine and on Sunday, no product for said waffle machine. No protein offered. At least could have had hard boiled eggs, but nothing offered, simple bread, bagel and muffin. No butter, but there was cream cheese packets. Again, room and location were good. I would recommend not offering breakfast if you can't at least do the bare minimum. Very glad there were not a lot of guests because if there was product, there would have been a long line due to the limited toaster/muffin machine.
