The room and hotel are clean. The beds are a bit firm for my taste but I prefer too firm to too soft. The water pressure in the shower could be better. The waffle station at breakfast is awesome! The pool was great! The hotel seems like it has a great team managing it. It is showing its age a tiny bit but it is well maintained and all of the important things like the juice bar, pool, elevators, etc. are working great.

Dec 27, 2024 · Betsy Olsson-MackowskiI arrived at this hotel after a long journey, around 3:30am. The parking lot was full, so I assumed there wouldn’t be any rooms available. However, when I got to the front desk, the staff member informed me that there were rooms available — but she was currently running her audit and couldn’t check anyone in at that time. Honestly, this was terrible customer service. What she should have said was: “I’m currently running the nightly audit, which temporarily limits my ability to check guests in. However, I understand you’ve been traveling, and I’ll do everything I can to get you into a room as soon as the system allows. Let me also check if there’s any way to expedite the process or offer a temporary solution to make you more comfortable while you wait.” Instead, I was met with indifference, zero effort to problem-solve, and no empathy whatsoever for a visibly exhausted traveler in need of rest. This level of service is completely unacceptable and left me with a terrible first impression of this hotel.
Mar 04, 2025 · Alexis FordOur family of 4 stayed at the Owings Mills Hampton Inn for just over 4 weeks while our house underwent a renovation. We had debated between and airbnb and a hotel and I am very glad we went with Hampton Inn. We have an 11yo and 8yo. The bed was large enough for them to share without fighting. The room itself was very spacious with tall ceilings that made it feel more open. The bathroom and shower were updated and very clean. There was ample counter space and towel hooks. The staff at Owings Mills was incredibly kind and helpful. They found us towels when we needed extra. The housekeepers cleaned our room thoroughly every other day and made little houses for our kids stuffed animals. The front desk staff was understanding when we needed to extend our stay. They assured us that if we ended up being able to go home early it would not be a problem either. The breakfast was better than the average continental. The eggs were always warm and they rotated the protein every few days. Our kids loved the waffle makers and the cereal choices. I needed to work from the hotel during a snow day and the internet connection was amazing. No glitches for virtual meetings. The TV connection was not great, but we plugged in a roku stick so it didn't impact us. The location is perfect. Near grocery stores, restaurants and retailers. And easy to get on 795. But it's not so close that it was loud. We were in room 518 and had a view of the grass field and saw deer in the mornings. One downside was the pool. It was freezing and in need of a good cleaning. I realize we were there in January during a cold snap, but it was beyond a normal cold. They are doing renovations on the pool at the hotel next door, so hopefully that translates into a reno for this pool soon. Overall we are very happy we stayed at this Hampton Inn. The kids were sad to leave. We look forward to using our Rewards points for a stay at another Hilton property this summer.
