Mar 18, 2025 · Yoyo OliPros: Easy access. Easy to find. Streets easy to navigate. Small downtown area. Hotel was clean. Cons: No app-based checkout so had to check out in person at front desk. If you want to park at the hotel, you HAVE to valet park your car. There is no clear communication about this in advance nor is it obvious in terms of signage when you arrive. This also means you need to tip the valet person so have cash on hand for this each time you leave or request your car. The evening valet guy was not friendly and actually pretty rude for no reason. The next morning checkout valet guy was nice. Same with the front desk guy. Not super helpful or friendly. Next morning at checkout the woman at the front desk was nice enough. Room was clean. TV and channel options were from the 1990s. Tub was on the small side. Towels were tiny. For 2 adults they should provide more than 3 small towels. There was a vehicle on the street with its alarm going off. I mentioned it to the front desk guy who told me there was nothing he could do about it and I'd have to call police to report it if a problem. One would think a good hotel manager would proactively report it on behalf of ALL hotel guests.
Feb 25, 2025 · L GIt's a basic Hampton Inn, so it's good and overall won't be disappointed. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Prices will vary depending on the time of year you go. The parking situation is a little misleading because they do have their own lot, but you are obligated to deal with their valet service, which, at the time of our stay, was $40 a night. The location couldn't be more convenient though - the entire city and the waterfront are easily accessibly from this location.
Apr 14, 2025 · JaaschThis is our go to hotel when we go home to visit. It is centrally located to everywhere we want to visit. We arrived late on our check in day but called ahead to alert them. Daexia was polite but it seemed like we were bothering her. The king room we were given was disgusting and extremely small. I went to get ice and our ice maker on the 5th floor was completely unplugged. I went downstairs looking for ice and cups. Zack was now on duty and could have cared less to help us. He never once got out of the chair behind the desk. We actually sent what looked like a guest to go get coffee cups instead of getting them himself. We were exhausted to we fell asleep planning to deal with it the next morning. We received a call from the front desk the next morning to move us because our toilet was flooding the room below is. Madison was extremely helpful and apologetic. They only polite and helpful employee we meet the entire stay. We were moved to a queen suite which was 3x the size of the previous room on the same floor. The room was much cleaner but still need attention. There was glitter glue in several locations along with spots that needed cleaning on the carpet. The toilet tank lid was not made for the tank in our bathroom so it never set tight. Sadly the guest in 517 was constantly smoking marijuana in the parking lot and nothing was done about it. So the hall on that end of the 5th floor smelled of dead skunk. The pool was completely disgusting. It looked like several drums of milk had been poured into it. The pool area had fumes of chlorine that made my eyes burn but the pool needed to be shocked not over chlorinated. You could not even see the bottom which is a safety hazard. I informed Zach and he told me it was cleaned daily and it was fine. I know that Hampton Inns are at the lower in of the Hilton chain but I expect it to represent the Hilton brand properly. I felt like I was at a Choice hotel not a Hilton
May 06, 2025 · TA HudackOverall, it was a nice hotel to stay in for one night. It was conveniently located with an easy walk to restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff was friendly and it’s connected to an amazing breakfast spot, The Friendly Toast. The room was clean upon arrival, though there was a bit of a lazy maintenance maneuver that was somewhat comical, but also super unprofessional for a room that goes for $100+ a night. The dresser drawer wouldn’t stay closed, so they put duct tape to try and keep it shut. When the first blob of duct tape didn’t work, they put another one on top of the original piece, which, well, didn’t seem to work either. Another issue was a malfunctioning room key. We had gotten back to the hotel at about 1AM, went to our room, and our key wouldn’t open the door. I understand it was a system glitch, just have never experienced that at a hotel before. It was just a little inconvenient at the time, but the front desk guy was very kind. I would stay at this hotel again for the right price. (And minus the duct tape art 😜)
