I have been staying at this hotel since the early 2000's and something with management or ownership had to have changed. This location used to be clean and comfortable with friendly staff and my last visit was not anything like I have grown to know. I had room 307, take note, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the sliding door has a serious issue and a huge cracked part that one could injure themselves getting in and out of the shower. The wallpaper is coming off in many locations, carpet was nasty. The AC sounded like it's other job was a jet engine and the room was not all that cool compared to another room some of friends had. I was never offered water or snack at check in which is part of this brand's loyalty programs. The staff, depending on who you talked to had little knowledge of their jobs or were as pleasant as a rattlesnake. I asked for a late check out and the response was just short of an angry mother-in-law. Really a simple kind reply is all that is needed not a lecture. Overall terrible. Owners - please sell this place to someone who wants to run a hotel.

Jun 11, 2025 · Steven MussmanNot a 5-star hotel but it doesn’t proclaim to be. It’s due for some upgrades in the near future but it’s not a dump. Most of the staff is pretty friendly. Over the course of a 5-day stay, I encountered lots of different people and o my one person who would have obviously been anywhere else (I get it…it’s work)— otherwise everyone else was super helpful & friendly. The fitness center has the basics but enough to get you by, and it was surprisingly never crowded. The hot buffet breakfast is just enough to call it a hot buffet breakfast. You get eggs every morning, a different accompanying meat each day, oatmeal, waffle maker and an assortment of breads — oh, and apples and oranges. It works and was good enough for me. It seems to be the same across the like branded properties. There’s a little snack stand with some “in case of emergency” sundries. The cost of things…as expected. The room was cozy, and I slept well every night. I really enjoyed the newer shower head in the bathroom although the bathroom is probably the area in the room that needs the biggest facelift. I had one scary issue right after I checked in. I was tired and immediately took a nap and was awakened to someone trying to push the latch lock to get in the room — they already had it opened but thankfully had pulled the latch for my safety — turned out to be a hotel employee who allegedly thought no one was in the room — not sure how he thought that with the latch pulled — slightly concerning for a woman traveling alone. I would have given them more stars for service but my safety was not ensured initially. That’s a wrap for my stay here
Jun 12, 2025 · Latisha DutchI stayed at this hotel on June 5th and was assigned room 407, but to my surprise, the room was already occupied by another guest when I opened the door. This was very uncomfortable and concerning. The front desk moved me to another room, but the key card didn’t work at first, which added more frustration. As an apology, the staff verbally promised to waive my parking fee, but I was still charged $34. This kind of service is unacceptable. If you make a promise to a guest, you should keep it. I felt disrespected and misled.
Jun 10, 2025 · 大周周Do not recommend. I am a gold status with Hilton, nearing Diamond, I booked a room at 10 PM the night before here in 60 seconds after booking I realized that there was a closer Hampton to my customer in Boerne. I immediately booked the Hampton closer to my customer and immediately attempted to cancel my reservation here. I was informed that they were going to charge me for a night as a penalty. We've all had plans change and I've never had a Hilton brand charge me for the night even though it says in the fine print that you can be charged. Its absolutely ridiculous and short-sighted to split hairs over 150 bucks when you could have gained a thankful, loyal business customer who would have stayed with you every time I'm in town in the future. I'm even staying in a sister hotel so Hampton is still getting my money. I called corporate and they agreed this was ridiculous considering I made a second reservation. They called the hotel and advocated for me and the stubborn staff there still wouldn't budge even for them. Buy yourself something with that $150 Hampton Riverwalk because I won't be staying with you guys and neither will my co workers if this is the lack of flexibility and understanding you have at your business. You're losing more than you gained in the end. I'll be disputing the charge with Amex. After this experience I'm genuinely considering doing a status match with Marriott.
Apr 23, 2025 · EricI booked my stay at this Hampton Inn online, expecting the usual Hilton quality, but was very disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the experience was not great. The lobby looked dirty and had a strong smell of weed. At first, I thought it might have drifted in from outside, but when we came back downstairs after seeing our room, the odor was still just as strong. Both my wife and kids noticed and commented on it. Our room was not 100% clean, but since we arrived late, we just wanted to go to bed. The table in the room had not been wiped down, and the Peloton bike, which I specifically booked the room for, also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. The service at this location was also lacking. The staff was not welcoming or friendly, and no one informed us about parking. I had to ask for water, even though Hilton properties typically provide it as part of their hospitality. Usually, Hilton hotels acknowledge and welcome members upon arrival, but that didn’t happen here. Breakfast was another disappointment. While eating, I witnessed a staff member call out a guest for leaving the lid off the gravy, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If I hadn’t already paid at check-in, I would have canceled my second night. I will not be returning to this location, and after this experience, I’m seriously reconsidering staying at Hilton properties in the future.
