For residents of Maryland, particularly those in the Baltimore County area, the Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore North/Timonium offers a practical and accessible solution for a variety of local needs, extending beyond typical tourist stays. Consider situations where your home might be undergoing renovations, necessitating a temporary comfortable relocation. Or perhaps you're hosting out-of-town family for an extended period, and your home simply doesn't have the capacity. This hotel provides a convenient and self-sufficient option for such scenarios. The inclusion of a mini-fridge and microwave in each room allows for light meal preparation and snack storage, offering a taste of home comfort and potentially saving on dining expenses, which is a major plus for any local managing a temporary living situation.
The complimentary hot breakfast is a significant amenity, providing a convenient and cost-effective start to the day without needing to venture out. For local professionals on temporary assignments in the Timonium business parks or visiting Stevenson University, the hotel's comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi, and business center offer a conducive environment for productivity. While some past guest feedback highlighted issues like low staff interaction, a need to bring your own toiletries, "mush" pillows (though the bed itself was found supportive), and particularly concerning billing discrepancies like the parking maintenance fee and room rate confusion, these points underscore the importance of clear communication and obtaining documentation upon check-in. However, the consistent mentions of cleanliness, comfortable beds, and minimal noise, alongside the pet-friendly policy, indicate core strengths that can still make it a viable option for many. For locals seeking a convenient, amenity-rich, and generally clean place for short-term stays, hosting family, or needing a temporary home-away-from-home in the Timonium area, the Hampton Inn & Suites Baltimore North/Timonium remains a relevant choice, provided guests are proactive in confirming all charges and room details.

May 24, 2025 · K GoldmanVery disappointed with this hotel. At check-in, we requested a king size bedroom. I showed the individual that the rate was $134 on the Hilton app. He said he could book the room for us. Later, I got a receipt, and it showed that we were charged for a 2 queen size bedroom for $142, even though we were in the king size bedroom. I immediately went to the front desk, and they indicated that there was nothing that they could do and that I agreed to the rate. I indicated that I was told the rate would be $134 for a king bedroom and was never told anything different. At check-in, I was not given a receipt nor any paperwork to sign. I spoke to someone prior to check out about the same issue, and again, they said that I had agreed to the rate. I expressed that I didn’t agree to a queen size bedroom that we were charged for. When looking at a reservation with the hotel, it shows that there is a price difference between the two rooms, but no one will acknowledge that they charged us for the wrong bedroom. I called customer service, and they want a screenshot of the rate. Of course, I didn’t take a screenshot because I didn’t know I needed to prove the rate when the hotel had indicated that the rate of $134 is what I would be getting with a king size bedroom and not a queen size bed. Along with this, on our final receipt it shows we were charged a parking maintenance fee, even though it says parking is complimentary. This is very deceptive and should be indicated ahead of time with the original check-in receipt when other taxes are broken down not AFTER you check out and leave. If staying at this hotel, I would make sure NOT to book a reservation at the front desk and ensure you have proof of everything. Otherwise, their motto of 100% guaranteeing your stay is not true nor are they willing to do anything to make the situation right.
Mar 17, 2025 · Stacey LatimerHorrible absolutely horrible after flying all the way across the country exhausted they would not let me check into my prepaid room because my wife had made the reservation for me. Just as she always does. They did offer to let me make a reservation but would not let me cancel the one my wife made so I would have had to pay for both. This is the absolute worst I have been treated by Hilton Hampton and I have been a loyal customer for many years. If the reservation is changed to my name as the lead name do we lose our Points? Why isn't Mr. and Mrs. Patricia Fairbanks as good as Mr. and Mrs. Eric Fairbanks. What difference does it make for her name to be the lead. We are married so we are the same. It ruined my week . What was the point? If they intended to give me a room anyway why make me feel I was going to be in a unfamiliar town with no place to stay, Distressing to say the least. Was it intimidation, power a show of authority what? I thought I was out on the streets. I believe possibly this will be my last Hampton stay. I want to reflect but I honestly saw no concern on their part.
Mar 24, 2025 · Eric FairbanksVery nice hotel with clean rooms. I was very happy in general. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because of non-service dogs being allowed in the breakfast area during breakfast hours. This happened 2 of the 3 mornings I ate breakfast there.
Jan 28, 2025 · Ellen VogelVery annoying- had to raid the coffee supplies to find a cup with which to rinse my mouth in the bathroom or simply get a drink of water from the tap. They also charge $4.74 plus tax per night as a parking maintenance fee, yet they make no effort to determine my vehicle identification or even if I was using a vehicle at all. This feed is not up here on the corporate website cost estimate and only shows up in the final billing. Since many of us get our final bill by email, the customer may never know about this fee until sometime after the visit, if at all.
