I have been traveling to Madison for classes the past 9 months. This hotel was in the reservation block and I'm a Hilton member. I had poor experiences the first 3 months. The noise in the hotel was ridiculous, especially when stuck in a room with adjoining door to sports teams, not providing coffee in the lobby for months, halls smelled of pot, and the hot tub was always out of order but the tipping point was when the complimentary bottles of water in the room were obviously already opened. I stayed elsewhere for a few months and tried again, since the rate was affordable. I got in at 7, dragged all my luggage to the room only to find BLOOD ON THE SHEETS. I was initially told she'd switch me to another room but then because of my rate the computer wouldn't allow her to do that even though she initially had offered rooms on 2 different floors. I was going to just have to change the sheets myself. Tired I decided to do that but decided to check the rest of the room and found a sticky mess on the fridge and coffee bar, animal hair on the desk, crumbs and dirt on the floor, and hairs on the headboard. I tried calling back down, to no answer, and had to carry all my stuff back down. I wasted an hour only to find out that because of my rate she would not give me a clean room because they were over booked even though she had other unhooked rooms, just unwilling to give a regular price room. I offered to move back to my original room once housekeeping came in the morning, which would have been inconvenient, but that too was not an option because they had 92 check-ins the next day, Why is that my problem? Finally I told her to refund my stay. The charge hold was canceled, and I found a different hotel a few miles away through my app. By the time I got settled in I was exhausted, my back has been killing me from dealing with the luggage all that extra time. Then I find out my classmate arrived at 10pm and they'd given away her room because her rate was the discounted rate. After she had to beg the same check in person to do something, the room they finally helped her find was out of the brand and $50 more per night. This Hilton hotel does not live up to the Hilton brand and should be removed from the chain. I realize I won't be charged for the stay but I am so disappointed and frustrated with the lost time, pain and frustration and the excuses and just pure crap from the check in staff and whoever she was talking to on the phone.

A key component of the hotel's offering is its on-site dining, with a restaurant and bar available for breakfast and dinner. This provides a convenient option for those who prefer to dine in after a long day. The hotel also focuses on providing recreational facilities, including a well-regarded indoor pool and hot tub, which are often a deciding factor for families and leisure travelers. However, public information, including customer reviews, suggests a mixed experience regarding hotel upkeep and customer service, which is important for prospective guests to consider.

Mixed Guest Experiences with Service and Cleanliness: While some reviewers have praised the staff as friendly and helpful, others have shared very negative experiences regarding customer service and the cleanliness of rooms and common areas. Reports of uncleanliness, unprofessional staff interactions, and issues with room availability, even with reservations, are a point of concern for potential guests. These mixed reviews highlight the importance of setting expectations and, perhaps, checking with the hotel in advance regarding specific room details and availability.
On-Site Amenities: The inclusion of a mini-fridge and microwave in every room is a practical feature that adds to the convenience of a stay, particularly for longer trips or for families with children. Jun 27, 2025 · Cassidy SanchezI travel a lot because of my chess tournaments, and happy to say that Hilton is the best hotel. Great price + breakfast included. This one also has a great pool and a hot tub!
Aug 01, 2025 · Соломія КучерSpent the weekend here with my grandkids. Everything was great . The check-in experience was great customer service was impeccable. The room was as described clean no complaints. The pool area was well planned something for everyone life guards on duty and attentive. Only hiccup that had absolutely nothing to do with Hilton or staff a child vomited in the pool and it closed 3 hours early. Even with the hiccup the staff was great and accommodating. I have family here in Madison and I will return on my next visit. I can’t single out one employee because all were very nice and helpful. Gold standard of care and service.
Jun 22, 2025 · jeanetta theusAbsolutely horrible! I will NEVER stay at this hotel again! Hotel itself was up to Hilton honors, but staff was the most rude and disrespectful employees I have ever come across in my hundreds of hotel stays. The room next to us was extremely loud both Friday and Saturday night. Friday the hotel employee called and eventually came up asking them to quiet down. Saturday I called and asked the front desk to come up and ask them to be quiet. They told me they were not comfortable doing so. I went over and asked the room next to us, which was all children, to be quiet when they still weren't I went to the front desk where Hanah treated extremely rude and disrespectful to the point I was being ignored, and when the room next to me called she apologized to them and gave them the room number to which I was staying in. I tried to contact the manager via phone call and email after my stay, and over a week later. Still have not heard anything back. When I placed the claim with Hilton they told me they contacted the hotel and the hotel would not refund any of my money, because Hanah claimed and ended up giving me a different room to stay in (we were in a double queen and I was given a king with a pull out - someone had to sleep on a pull out instead of a bed). Again hotel up to standards, but employee and manager interaction was by far the worst I've ever experienced.
Jun 19, 2025 · Carly AndersonSpacious hotel with plenty of rooms and well-equipped conference spaces. The fitness center is a good size, and the large pool and hot tub are perfect for relaxation. Excellent kitchen and bar, and the service is truly top-notch! PS hot tub is under construction but pool is open
