HomeTowne Studios Danville, PA, is situated at 31 Red Roof Rd Building B, placing it in a commercial zone, likely adjacent to or part of a larger lodging complex given the proximity to another hotel on Red Roof Road. Its location "right off of Route 80" is a significant advantage, making it highly accessible for travelers utilizing this major interstate highway for long-distance journeys. This also means it's generally surrounded by other traveler-oriented services such as gas stations, fast-food restaurants, and potentially other retail stores. Danville, Pennsylvania, is a notable hub due to the presence of the Geisinger Medical Center, a major regional healthcare and research institution. Extended stay hotels in this vicinity often serve medical professionals on temporary assignments, patients' families during long treatment periods, and business travelers on extended projects. While the location provides excellent highway access and proximity to essential services, one review noted that the "hotel is located by a main road with loud road traffic," which might impact noise levels for some guests. Additionally, the "parking lot was tight and difficult to get in and out of," suggesting a potential challenge for vehicle maneuverability. Despite these points, the overall convenience to "many stores, restaurants and gas stations nearby" is a strong positive for guests requiring easy access to necessities during an extended stay. The provided phone numbers, (570) 275-7600 and +1 570-275-7600, offer direct contact for inquiries and reservations.

A standout feature, praised by multiple reviewers, is the inclusion of kitchenettes in the rooms. One guest "loved having a kitchenette to prepare my own meals, which was super convenient." Another confirmed the presence of a "full size refrigerator and microwave/convection combo," which are essential for self-catering and significantly reduce dining expenses over an extended period. The "Wifi was strong during our stay," indicating reliable internet access, which is crucial for both leisure and business guests. While the TV had "limited channel selection," it was functional. The staff also received positive feedback: "The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions I had." This level of service is vital for an extended stay, where guests might have more varied needs than a typical overnight visitor. The option of "doors leading directly outside" offers convenience and a sense of independence, though it also led to some "annoyance" due to other guests "hanging around outside our door smoking and talking loudly." While cleanliness was somewhat varied, with one review praising the "really clean and cozy" atmosphere, another noted rooms "seemed relatively clean," suggesting a generally acceptable standard, though not always perfect. The mention of "tiny bathrooms with the sinks outside" is a specific design aspect that some guests might find inconvenient.
The core distinguishing feature of HomeTowne Studios Danville, PA, is its design as an extended stay property, providing apartment-style amenities within a hotel setting. The full-size refrigerator and microwave/convection oven combo are significant upgrades over typical hotel mini-fridges and microwaves, offering genuine cooking capabilities. The direct outdoor access from rooms is a unique feature that appeals to some guests seeking convenience for loading/unloading or simply a quick breath of fresh air. The "home away from home" feeling, as described by a guest, is precisely what extended stay hotels aim to achieve, and this feedback suggests the hotel largely succeeds in that aspect. The friendly and helpful staff contribute significantly to this welcoming atmosphere. While rooms were described as "small for an extended stay hotel," they compensated with essential appliances. The hotel's pet-friendly nature, implicitly suggested by the HomeTowne Studios brand, is also a key feature for many extended-stay travelers who bring their pets. The "decent place for the price" indicates a strong value proposition, especially for the included kitchenette facilities that can lead to significant savings on food costs over time. The location's pros (I-80 access, nearby amenities) and cons (road noise, tight parking) provide a realistic picture of the property's practicalities.

Feb 26, 2025 · Neeru BaluGood location right off of Route 80 with many stores, restaurants and gas stations nearby. The rooms were small for an extended stay hotel, but seemed relatively clean. The bathrooms are tiny with the sinks outside, which is a major con in my opinion. Wifi was strong during our stay, and TV worked but with limited channel selection. The full size refrigerator and microwave/convection combo was a plus. It was also nice to have doors leading directly outside, but having other guests hanging around outside our door smoking and talking loudly was an annoyance. The parking lot was tight and difficult to get in and out of, and the hotel is located by a main road with loud road traffic. Overall a decent place for the price though.
Mar 22, 2025 · A MThe rooms are absolutely nasty. I would never stay here again. The rooms have a strong odor, and are very dirty. The toilet and floors weren't cleaned from the past people to stay. The small rug by the bed was never vacuumed. The bathroom had mold all over. I wish I took photos to share. Outside, around the back felt a bit sketchy. Definitely a filthy room. Not worth the $120 a night! Pay the few dollars more and go across the street to Best Western!
