Checked in to our room to find it on the second story with no railing, just orange, plastic construction fencing preventing someone from falling from the second story down to the ground. A sign made of plywood had the words “do not enter” propped up at the end of the walkway. It literally looked like some place out of a horror movie. Our room was NOT cleaned or bedding even on the beds. The bare mattresses with dark yellow and brown stains and ripped corners were exposed and a pile of dirty sheets sat on the one bed. It smelled musty like sweaty dirty gym clothes. My husband was brave enough to step into the room to see a used tube of toothpaste left behind and toothpaste in the sink. Someone clearly didn’t clean and reset the room. I was actually glad to see the horrendous condition of the mattress to know I would rather sleep in my car. The receptionist was very apologetic and helpful refunding and cancelling the reservation (I hope… I’ll have to watch my credit card in the coming week..) I would never recommend this place to anyone!

These typically include complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and basic in-room facilities such as a television, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. The brand's focus is on providing a functional and economical stay. However, recent customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives on the actual delivery of these services. One review highlighted significant issues: "Our room was NOT cleaned or bedding even on the beds. Someone clearly didn’t clean and reset the room." This starkly contrasts with another review stating, "Room was cleaner than most hotels that are on the cheaper end to stay in." This discrepancy suggests variability in room conditions or perhaps ongoing efforts to improve. The positive review also noted, "Lady at front desk was very accommodating and helpful," indicating that customer service at the reception level can be a strong point, particularly in handling issues. The mention of "doing construction on it" in one review suggests that the hotel may be undergoing renovations or upgrades, which could explain some of the inconsistencies in guest experiences as rooms are brought up to standard.
The Super 8 by Wyndham Danville's primary feature, consistent with its brand, is its positioning as an affordable lodging option. For users of "Hotels Near Of Me" seeking a low-cost stay, this is a significant draw. The fact that it is a Wyndham property provides a degree of brand recognition and a general expectation of consistency, albeit at the budget end of the spectrum. The presence of construction indicates investment in improving the property, which, once completed, could significantly enhance the guest experience. The helpfulness of the front desk staff, as highlighted in one review, is a crucial feature for any hotel, especially when unexpected issues arise. This suggests a commitment to customer support, even amidst challenging circumstances like construction or cleanliness oversights. The contrasting reviews underscore that the current state of the hotel might be in transition, with some rooms or areas already improved while others await renovation. The lack of smoking rooms, as mentioned by one guest, reflects a common trend in the hospitality industry towards non-smoking environments.
Super 8 by Wyndham properties typically appeal to a wide range of travelers, including:
Budget-Conscious Travelers: Those looking to minimize accommodation costs while traveling.
Road Trippers: Individuals or families on long journeys who need a convenient and economical overnight stop.

Enjoy essential amenities, friendly service, and ongoing property enhancements for a comfortable visit to Danville. Your budget-friendly choice when you search 'Hotels Near Of Me'!" The hotel could also highlight any completed renovations as they come online, offering newly updated rooms as a key selling point. Apr 26, 2025 · Kimberly ClouseEverything ran smoothly, 😁 Lady at front desk was very accommodating and helpful. Room was cleaner than most hotels that are on the cheaper end to stay in. The price was great in my opinion. Unfortunately they are doing construction on it so I usually prefer upstairs, but I didn't request upstairs. Only thing I wish they had was smoking room. But I know those are harder to find these days. Thanks for the accomodations we will be using the Super 8 in the future I'm sure!😁
Apr 07, 2025 · Sommer RouseLaRoseClean rooms, hot water, your own coffee machine and comfortable beds. But you are always placed in the building right next to the highway so it’s very, very noisy ALL night long. Be ok with that or bring earplugs.
Mar 04, 2025 · Carol RileyThey dropped a $100 deposit on me without telling me (hopefully it's refunded after checkout) but was unexpected. But rooms were decent. Front desk girl was super friendly.
Mar 01, 2025 · CoreyAll in all, this hotel isn't too bad. First off, the $100 MANDATORY hold I think is a joke and is not noted anywhere when booking EXCEPT by a sign at the front desk AFTER you already get to the hotel. The rooms are pretty good. Ours was clean. "Hardwood" floors. The beds were fairly comfy but the pillows were way too soft. The walls though are paper thin! We could hear everything if the tv or ac/heater wasn't running. Plus the door didn't close completely, there was light and draft coming through. It did lock thankfully. You have to get ice from the front desk apparently. All rooms are exterior entrances and if you are on the first floor you can park right in front of your door. Breakfast was a little lackluster but it is free. Waffle maker, 2 cereal brands, toast, one flavor of yogurt, some packaged hard boiled eggs, oj and milk. Would I stay there again? Maybe if the price was lower than anywhere else around.
