It was a roach in my coffee cup they don’t care if the keys don’t work, a friend of mine‘s had gotten a hotel. He was locked up in the room when he came back from work he had to come stay in my room they did not give him his money back, they don’t care of what it is all they care about is your money do not go there. They went into my bank and tried to take $250 out of my account which I have proof of the save your information. Be careful with your credit cards with this hotel. They will go in your account and try to take money towels. Terrible service terrible no breakfast no roaches everywhere. All they care about is their money don’t do not and I repeat do not book a room. If you guys see all the reviews I’m like 100 per person to have a complaint not a good place they don’t care they just want their money. The hotel is set in the historical district, offering a sense of the region's rich past.

Features and Unique Aspects

This suggests a potential change in ownership or management, which some guest reviews highlight as a positive development, leading to improvements in cleanliness and service. The presence of conference and event facilities makes it a suitable venue for business meetings, workshops, and smaller banquets, distinguishing it from purely leisure-focused hotels. The hotel's strategic location near Stewart International Airport and major highways is a key feature, offering convenience for travelers. Its historical district setting, while not a direct feature of the hotel's interior, adds to the local character and provides easy access to historical sites. Honeymoon suites are also listed as an option for those seeking a more luxurious stay.

Promotional Information and Guest Experience

As a "Hotels Near Of Me" option, the Hudson Valley Hotel and Conference Center (Newburgh Inn) often appears in search results for those looking for immediate or local accommodation in Newburgh, NY. Information on specific promotions like "Spring Weekday Escape" or general discounts can be found through various booking platforms and travel sites. These platforms may offer varying rates throughout the year, with April and October sometimes being the cheapest months to stay. Weekend prices, particularly Fridays, tend to be higher.

It is crucial to provide a balanced view based on customer reviews. The hotel's online presence shows a mixed bag of guest experiences. Older reviews and some current ones highlight significant concerns, including issues with hot water, cleanliness (specifically roaches), non-functional room keys, and problems with refunds. Some guests have reported highly negative experiences concerning service, lack of amenities like breakfast and microwaves, and even alleged theft of personal belongings. These reviews emphasize frustration with management and a perceived focus solely on monetary gain without adequate guest care.

However, more recent reviews, particularly those mentioning the name change to Newburgh Inn and new ownership, indicate a vastly improved experience. These positive reviews commend the new owners as "great wonderful people" and describe the service as "great" and the rooms as "very clean" with "comfortable beds." Guests who have experienced the "New and improved" version express satisfaction, stating they "can't say nothing bad about the place." This suggests a considerable effort has been made to address previous shortcomings and elevate the guest experience.

Therefore, when considering the Hudson Valley Hotel and Conference Center (Newburgh Inn), potential guests should be aware of the historical context of its reviews. While past issues were severe, there's evidence of positive changes and improvements under new management, aiming to provide a cleaner and more comfortable stay. The hotel maintains amenities such as free Wi-Fi, free self-parking, and conferencing facilities, making it a viable option for a range of travelers seeking a conveniently located and now, reportedly, improved lodging experience in Newburgh, NY. Guests are advised to check the most current reviews and information when booking to ensure the best possible experience.

Under construction, I get it. Place is in fixer upper mode. I like to see things restored. Room was cute, clean and clearly newly renovated. Then we saw a roach ... then another bigger one, then another then we packed up all our stuff and left! 11:30 at night and we had to find another hotel for the 3 day weekend. ROACHES is a HARD stop for me. Get rid of them FIRST, repair and paint second!

Not even worth 1 star. Years ago & different owner I liked the place. There WAS a swimming pool. A year ago I stayed & the place looked deserted. Yep roaches & sketchy desk person. I had to call Police but stayed a nite...promptly left @ 6 a m.

First, in spite of how professional the front desk staff were, neither one of them were wearing face masks. One would think that any hotel would want to do everything they could to make guests feel safe and comfortable, but I digress. My room was clean and the property was nice. However, there were some areas that could use much better lighting, because without it, the place looks sketchy. I honestly wish I was more comfortable at this property.
