Pros: This hotel is located in an accessible area near many conveniences. The staff were friendly and more than willing to help, and they did not charge for parking. Cons: I’ve stayed here twice for work because it is close to my office, but I chose a different Hyatt on my last stay. On both occasions, my shower did not have hot water. The first time staff were able to fix it, a separate time it worked after letting the faucet run for fifteen minutes, but the final time it just would not work. Not having a hot shower was unacceptable for me. The hotel restaurant was not selling food on any of my stays and on my last trip one of the two elevators had been vandalized and most of the buttons did not work. The bathrooms in the rooms were very small. Overall: Very kind staff and great location. For the price, you can enjoy a quick night here and save some money, especially if you enjoy a smaller hotel. I generally stay in town two or three nights for work, and I would prefer to stay at a hotel with better accommodations. But again, for the price, this smaller hotel may be a good fit for some.

Chose this Hyatt so we could be relatively close to Vanderbilt and downtown without having to pay exorbitant fees for parking at the hotels closer into town. Rooms are large with a sofa and desk area, and beds and pillows are comfortable. The toilet/tub area, while tight, serves its purpose. The water pressure and very hot water made for a great shower. Complimentary breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, muffins, waffles, fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc. Front Desk Staff was exceptionally friendly. Having said all that, one elevator was down and the only ice machine was on the 6th floor. The hotel and our room was clean, but the hotel could use a refresh. It feels like the 1990's. Overall, we will stay here again on our next trip. Its a good value compared to hotels just a few miles closer to downtown.

The rooms are clean. The water temperatures are absolutely terrible. We stayed on the 5th floor, and as you get the temp to your liking, it gets cold, readjust, it’s soon scolding you. There is zero medium. There is only one functioning ice machine which is at the front desk. We were ok with that until storms came through, and water was pouring down the elevator shaft, which they had to shut it down. I’m recovering from knee surgery from a few months back and rely on my ice pack/cooler. I now have to walk down 5 flights of stairs because of this place falling into disrepair. There is even a sign in the elevator stating that more than half of the phones in this place are out of order. The staff has tried their hardest to accommodate, but Hyatt itself is absolutely failing here. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else!!!!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was clean and well-maintained and the hotel was quiet – I got a great night's sleep without any disturbances. What really stood out was the front desk staff. They were not only friendly and welcoming, but they also went above and beyond to help me find something I had dropped in the parking lot… hours after I had checked out! It’s rare to find that level of service these days. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Do not waste your time coming to this Hyatt. This was the worst Hyatt experience I have had. I ended up taking a cold shower the first day after letting the water run for 10 minutes. I asked at the check-in desk and they informed me that I needed to leave the sink running on hot for 15 minutes to get warm water. The coffee pot was shooting hot water from the top, but it would not come out and into the cup. And both elevators went down. Now, I have sleep issues and asked to be far from the elevator at check in...I was all the way at the end. However, when both elevators went down that left all guests using the stairwell ALL NIGHT LONG which was just across from my door. It was SO loud! Oh, and housekeeping never came! It was a hot mess! If I were Hyatt, I would not want my name associated with this place!
