We were looking forward to using the house bikes on a beautiful sunny 80° Monday morning, but were told they were “under maintenance for the season”. Every single bike is under maintenance? You need a whole season to maintain a bicycle? Honestly given the dumbfounded look on the first receptionist’s face when we asked about them, I question if the bikes even exist. There was no mention of seasonality on their website nor on the amenity sheet they give you at check in. Whatever, it’s a nice day we can still go chill by the pool. Oh wait! This hotel shares its small pool with the gigantic attached apartment complex/dorm house, so good luck finding a chair let alone a spot to even just rest. Place was practically a frat party Monday midday, can’t imagine what it’s like on the weekend. If you’re coming to Nashville for spring break vibes then I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, but if that were the case you probably wouldn’t be staying in midtown! That’s why I’m not really sure the target demo of this hotel, unless you’re visiting somebody at the university next door. The wine hour was fun and a nice touch, staff was accommodating for late check out, however didn’t really feel any other benefits for having platinum status, as they stuck us on the 2nd floor originally (very loud) before we went down and asked to change rooms, at which point they moved us to the 3rd floor (not as loud, still can hear plenty of street noise though). Rooms were pretty nice, bed was comfortable enough, although could’ve used a few more pillows, or atleast fluffier ones. Toilet does not have soft close, weird tiny detail but does feel like kind of a benchmark in terms of hotel quality/luxury. All in all, while we appreciate them having us, not sure I’d stay here again, esp given how many options there are in town.
Howdy, Tennessee residents! Are you looking for a sophisticated and lively spot to experience Nashville's dynamic energy, perhaps for a chic staycation, a visit to Vanderbilt, or to host discerning friends and family from out of town? Let's delve into the Kimpton Aertson Hotel, a boutique gem known for its contemporary design, vibrant atmosphere, and prime location right here in our thriving Music City.
The Kimpton Aertson Hotel, part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio, embodies the Kimpton brand's signature blend of personalized service, unique design, and a strong sense of place. It’s more than just a place to sleep; it’s designed to be a social hub where guests can relax, work, and connect. With a focus on modern luxury and a welcoming, often pet-friendly, environment, the Aertson aims to provide a memorable and engaging experience, making it a compelling option for anyone wanting to explore Nashville’s stylish Midtown district.
The Kimpton Aertson Hotel is strategically located at 2021 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203, USA. This puts it squarely in the heart of Nashville's vibrant Midtown neighborhood, a bustling area known for its proximity to major institutions and lively entertainment.
The location is particularly ideal for anyone visiting Vanderbilt University, as it's directly across the street from the campus. This makes it incredibly convenient for university tours, events, or visiting students and faculty. The hotel is also very close to Music Row, the iconic center of Nashville's country music industry, where you can feel the creative pulse of the city.
While not directly on the famous Lower Broadway strip, the Aertson offers easy access to downtown Nashville's major attractions. The Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, Music City Center, and the lively honky-tonks are typically just a short 5-10 minute drive or rideshare away (around $12-$15, depending on traffic). This provides the benefit of being slightly removed from the loudest downtown crowds, offering a more relaxed atmosphere when you're ready to unwind, while still being just minutes from all the action.
For parking, the hotel offers valet parking for a daily fee (approximately $50 per day). While there's a cost, the convenience of professional valet service in a busy urban area is a significant advantage. Nashville International Airport (BNA) is approximately 11-15 minutes away by car, ensuring a relatively quick commute for arrivals and departures. Public transportation options are also accessible nearby, connecting you to other parts of the city.
Kimpton Aertson Hotel provides a range of signature services designed to enhance comfort, convenience, and a personalized guest experience.

Moreover, for those frequently hosting out-of-town guests, the Kimpton Aertson is an excellent recommendation, particularly for visitors who appreciate modern design, a social atmosphere, and a prime location near Vanderbilt and Music Row. The hotel's famed pet-friendly policy with no extra charge is a significant bonus for many traveling guests. Apr 29, 2025 · Cody WhittenJust checked in but wanted to comment on the great service I received. Ed at the front desk was super friendly and helpful, got me checked in early and easily, and provided all the information I needed. My room looks great and the hotel looks and seems great so far!
Jun 16, 2025 · NatalieHaven't stayed there but saw your receptionist tonight dancing with a guest and having so much fun and that is just the epitome of good customer service! What a guy! Hospitality needs more people like this! Enjoying his job, enjoying his guests....bringing brightness into the world! Apr 18, 2025 · Jennifer HigginsWent to Nashville with a friend and stayed at the Kimpton Aertson. The hotel is lovely; clean, good sized rooms and staff are always helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed every meal. Duncan was our waiter a couple of times and he was always happy to answer questions about the area as well as everything else you’d expect from a waiter. The hotel has a good location if you want to explore more of Nashville than just Downtown. We easily walked to centennial park, it’s a manageable walk to downtown or easy bus / taxi. Overall, very enjoyable stay, good bar and restaurant within the hotel with great staff.
May 01, 2025 · Helen SherriffOne word: KEVON!! Wowza! He is worth the trip to Nashville and a stay at the lovely Aertson Hotel. His energy is electric! His singing and dancing on a whim is captivating and a special detail we will never forget. He is a riot and breaks out in the best song and dance randomly based on your conversation. The first time it happened with another guest they were shocked while I was living LIFE with Kevon! Everytime I went through the lobby I looked for him! He is an absolute delight! Now on to the hotel. We are Diamond Elite members and appreciated the upgrade upon check in. The room was a corner room with plenty of space- though it was a special needs room- the shower curtain smelled mildewy. The housekeepers seemed bothered when we asked them to come back to clean- she ended up not - when she was cleaning our kids room next to ours later in the day, I asked her to do ours and she said it was the end of her shift she couldn’t what do I need? The manager happened to walk up and assured me a night time member would clean. Following day a similar problem. That would be my only recommendation for management- housekeepers attitudes need a dose of KEVON!!!!! Restaurant was fantastic! Had breakfast everyday. Darling staff and excellent breakfast! Get the grits with eggs, pimento and pork belly! It’s worth the calories!
