To be honest, this hotel was gross. It was so damp and dingy. I stopped here on a two day trip after traveling from another hotel, and laid out my microfiber hair towel that I brought from home so it could dry overnight, and it was still damp in the morning when I got up. That’s how damp this place is. There were mold spots on the wallpaper in my bathroom and no fan to clear out steam. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom is bubbled and peeling and has clearly been painted over multiple times to “fix” it. To top it all off, some of the key cards didn’t work, and my room was one of those rooms. I had to have a maintenance person let me into my room every time. One time, he got there, opened the door, and left before I got to the room, and he just left my room door open so anyone could have gone in. As a female traveling solo, this made me feel extremely unsafe. Not only the fact that he left my door open, but also that they couldn’t send a woman up to open my door. No offense to that man, who was very nice, but you can’t be too careful. The front desk staff were absolutely no help. DO NOT stay here. Also, the breakfast was disgusting - the eggs…were not eggs…and I couldn’t cut the sausage patty with a plastic knife. It was that tough. I paid way too much money for the service and quality of room I received.
May 20, 2025 · Emily CowanI think some of the other recent reviews may have been during renovations. We did not experience any of the negative points mentioned. As one of the more affordable places to stay in Nashville, we found the rooms to be more than adequate. The staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean. The breakfast was a solid free hotel breakfast. We were initially told by a local that Nashville wasn’t walkable, but we found this location to be pretty good if you’re willing to put in the foot work. About 15 min to walk to Centennial Park. About 30 min to walk to the main strip on Broadway. Straight walks both ways with slight hills to and from Broadway. Plenty of food and live music options within just a two minute walk as well.
May 18, 2025 · Kelly RaleighThe room smelled and felt damp because there was basically no air circulation. The bathroom fan didn't even work, so thank goodness I was by myself in there. The shower head was old and didn't work well, making it impossible to rinse my hair quickly. On the two mornings I needed to wash my hair, this led to too much steam building up in the room, which caused the fire alarm in the room to go off! This was so stressful and aggravating. The mini-fridge froze all my stuff, including soy milk I bought for my cereal because the hotel doesn't provide any non-dairy milk (pretty weak in my view since it's not that uncommon to need non-dairy milk). No microwave in the room. Outdated, half-broken furnishings. Staff for the most part seemed pretty impolite to me (though I guess this could be cultural difference, I don't know). Parking cost a ridiculous $25/night on top of the room costs, even though parking never filled up completely. The bar/restaurant next door was loud enough to wake me up Saturday night. Some of the towels had that thing where it smells fine until you wet it, then it smells gross. The gym was good. Wifi was fine. Location was fine. All my stuff smelled like a dungeon by the time I left after four days, and staying here pretty much ruined my entire vacation. Awful.
May 07, 2025 · Katherine HornsbySo I don't normally write reviews but this experience warranted it. Positives: great location, Dr.Wright and the late night/early a.m. front desk man were top notch!! Negatives: Our room was damp to the point our clothes became damp, the shower grip was half off the wall, the room had such a horrible stench it made me feel sick, the house cleaning staff could not communicate....they kept saying no hablo ingles even when I used a translator app....they seemed unwilling to assist. They cleaned the room and didn't leave toilet paper we had to call the front desk! We finally were able to get a new room on our last night of a 4 night stay. I would ask the owner of this Hilton to have his family members stay in room 422 or better yet invite one of the Hilton's to stay in that room. It is disgraceful to have someone spend their hard earned money on that!! I wish reviews had scratch and sniff because I guarantee you would have zero occupancy. It was a nightmarish experience and I hope you do a complete overhaul of your hotel. It gives the Hilton brand a horrible image and as not only a Hilton honors member but an owner in Hilton Grand Vacations I was extremely upset with my stay.
Jun 08, 2025 · Carla CisnerosParking spaces are narrow is the biggest complaint. Only rated 4 stars because updates are due. The room was a little dated. Think early 2000s. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean, bedding was crisp white. No signs of pests. Where they shine best is their people. Every step from the call to book to check out was smooth. The Front Desk has amazingly nice and kind folks. Our check in guy was a hoot. Breakfast was better than ideal. The meal team down there was on point and very professional. Spotless clean, fresh, great variety. We traveled to Vanderbilt for a medical visit. Easy access and ideal location. Our room was quiet, no noise issues, but can see where some areas might be noisy. Due to primary building age, I would suspect that the rooms are not modernly sound-reduced/proofed.
