This experience was HORRIBLE. Firstly, as a wyndham Gold reward member i get the option of picking preferred room (I wanted to be on the top floor). A member of staff told me, they are only renting out the 1st floor due to construction. I get into this sorry excuse for shelter, my key demagnitized, there’s holes in the bathroom door as if it were stabbed, a hole cut out of the bathroom ceiling, splatters of God knows what on the wall/front entrance, and on the morning of checkout, i wake up to a spider by my window. These people ought to be ashamed of themselves. The refund, free points, and apologies given still unjustified these horrid conditions. Absolutely no!
For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Roswell, Georgia area, the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Roswell presents itself as an option for travelers seeking a balance of essential amenities and a convenient location. Situated at 575 Old Holcomb Bridge Rd, Roswell, GA 30076, USA, this hotel aims to provide a straightforward stay for its guests, whether they are in town for business or leisure.
The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Roswell is strategically located in Roswell, a city known for its blend of historical charm and modern conveniences. While it is about 18 miles north of downtown Atlanta, it offers easy access to local Roswell attractions. The hotel is noted for its proximity to various dining and shopping options, which can be a significant advantage for guests looking to explore the local scene. Nearby establishments include a variety of restaurants, offering diverse dining experiences from Japanese cuisine to New York-style pizza, and fast-food choices. However, it is worth noting that some local businesses, such as a Red Lobster adjacent to the hotel, have recently closed. The general area provides access to amenities like the North Point Mall for shopping and the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre for concerts. Guests have also noted the presence of parks and outdoor spaces, such as Old Mill Park, which offers scenic trails and a waterfall, and the Sprayground at Riverside Park for family fun.
Regarding the immediate surroundings of the hotel, customer reviews have mentioned some concerns. There have been reports of construction activity, which may limit access to certain floors or facilities. Some guests have also commented on the general cleanliness of the exterior areas and the presence of individuals who appear to be homeless in the vicinity of the hotel and sometimes even within the building. These observations suggest that while the location offers convenience to attractions, the immediate environment might have some aspects that warrant consideration.
The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Roswell endeavors to provide a range of services designed for a comfortable stay. A key offering is the complimentary continental breakfast, known as the "Bright Side Breakfast," which typically includes hot waffles, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, coffee, and juice. This is served daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
For connectivity, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi in both public areas and guest rooms. Guests can also utilize a business center, express check-in/check-out, and laundry facilities. The front desk operates 24 hours a day, and multilingual staff are available to assist guests. Other general amenities include air conditioning, coffee/tea in common areas, and a front-desk safe.
The hotel is notably pet-friendly, allowing dogs and cats up to 75 lbs, with a maximum of two pets per accommodation, though charges apply. Service animals are exempt from fees. It is advisable to confirm pet policies and any specific room allocations when booking. For recreation, the hotel features a seasonal outdoor pool and a fitness center. These facilities are available for guest use, though some reviews have indicated that they might be affected by ongoing renovations. Accessibility features are also present, including wheelchair-accessible paths, parking, public washrooms, a fitness center, a business center, and an elevator.
The hotel's rooms are equipped with various features to enhance guest comfort. Standard room amenities include a flat-screen HDTV with premium cable channels, a coffee maker, a desk, ironing amenities, a mini-refrigerator, and a microwave. Private bathrooms are provided with a shower/tub combination, free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Premium bedding is also a standard feature. Some rooms may have connecting/adjoining options, and cribs/infant beds are available upon request. Specific room types like King Rooms, Executive King Rooms, and Queen Rooms with two queen beds are available, some with mobility-accessible options.
It is important to acknowledge that customer reviews have highlighted some significant concerns regarding room conditions. Issues reported include holes in bathroom doors and ceilings, unexplained splatters on walls, dirty carpets with missing patches, dingy second-layer comforters, and unclean-looking pillowcases. Some guests have experienced problems with faucet and toilet pressure. While windows are noted to open, some guests have reported finding their doors unlocked or cracked upon return. These issues suggest that while the hotel theoretically offers a range of in-room features, the actual state and maintenance of these features may vary and fall short of expected standards.
The hotel has been described as being "under renovation," with signs indicating this at the front desk. This ongoing work may contribute to some of the conditions observed by guests, including potential noise or disruptions. The presence of construction might also explain why certain facilities or floors are not fully available, as mentioned by one guest regarding only the first floor being rented out.
As a Wyndham property, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Roswell participates in the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program. Members of this program may be eligible for various benefits and promotions. These can include earning points towards free nights, receiving discounts on stays, and potentially enjoying benefits like late check-out. For instance, Wyndham Rewards members might save 10% on one night, 15% on two consecutive nights, and 20% on three or more consecutive nights when booking the Wyndham Rewards Rate. There are also specific discounts for AARP and AAA members, military personnel, and government employees, often providing percentage off standard rates. Booking directly through Wyndham's channels is often promoted as a way to secure the lowest prices and earn points. Group discounts are also available for reservations of ten rooms or more.
However, customer experiences suggest that membership benefits, such as late check-out for platinum members, may not always be accommodated as expected, with some guests being informed of charges or strict adherence to standard check-out times. This indicates that while promotional offers exist, their application might vary and it's advisable to confirm details directly with the hotel. The hotel also accepts major credit cards for booking and incidental charges.
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Roswell aims to cater to travelers looking for a convenient and relatively affordable stay in the Roswell area. It offers fundamental services such as a complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and a pet-friendly policy. Its location provides access to local shopping, dining, and attractions. However, prospective guests should be aware of the ongoing renovations and recent customer feedback which indicates significant concerns regarding room cleanliness, maintenance, and the overall condition of the property. While the hotel is part of a reputable brand and offers loyalty program benefits, the reported discrepancies between advertised standards and actual guest experiences suggest a need for thorough consideration and direct communication with the hotel regarding specific room conditions and service availability, especially while renovations are in progress.

Mar 25, 2025 · Noel TheLyricistToday is Xmas2024 (that wasn’t suppose to be) I don’t have time to write the type of review I normally would so I’m just going to highlight the things that influenced my rating. The hotel is under renovation and there are signs that note this around the front desk. Of the 3 LaQuintas I’ve stay at this is the worst. It doesn’t have the same clean reputation as the others. And I think middle eastern Indians are living at the hotel; family owned. I smelled curry on the outside and some rooms have visible flower pots. Staff: I had the pregnancy female for check in and confirming the request of my check out. At check in she assigned me a room they were working in. I returned to the counter informed her, she apologized said she was confused and didn’t know, promptly re-assigned; moving me from 101 to 110. She didn’t have the room type I chose available so my German shepherd (puppy) didn’t have his own bed. I contacted the desk the following morning before 9 to ensure my late check out was showing in their end. She wouldn’t accommodate said they had to have everyone out at 11am, despite me explaining I was a platinum member and how it typically works. She later said they charge $40 and I reiterated the accommodation being a free one for my member status. She would not acknowledge or grant. And that’s the biggest thing, just because your privately owned doesn’t mean you don’t have to meet the chain/franchises standards. Breakfast was not a warm one. They only provided boiled eggs. Room: The carpet was stained along the base board, had a small patch missing, and dirty around the edges. The bed I felt I shouldn’t sleep in and was so glad they had a recliner. After a look over the second layer conformer was dingy around the edges it appeared they don’t change it after guest. The pillow cases weren’t as white as they should be; unclean looking. Faucet pressure issue. Good pressure in shower. Toilet pressure issue but not clogging. Cosmetically flaws: desk chair, walls, entertainment center. The windows actually open a plus. This room has a join door and when I returned it was unlocked and cracked but no sign of entry or tampering; maybe I bumped it on my way out. Location: I saw hobo looking things. And a couple of homeless looking things inside the building. After booking I saw some complaints of roaches (recall I only check reviews prior to stay 90% of the time), I was not visited by any during my 1 night stay and that meant everything to me. There’s lots to do nearby I.e shopping and eatting (what demons live for). This is one that shouldn’t be open it’s bad for the brand. There’s a red lobster next two it that recently closed for business; has noticed on the front door.
Dec 25, 2024 · Tequila OliverIf you are staying in Roswell/Alpharetta area, please select another hotel. This is dilapidated and in serious need of repairs, customer service and renovations. Some staff were nice, but overnight staff would always be sitting in the breakfast area scanning their cell phones every evening we would come back in (with barely a greeting in English or any other known language). They were not helpful to resolve any issues that came up in the five nights we stayed for a family gathering. We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and were surprised at how bad the service and state of the building and rooms has declined. It is in desperate need of repairs and upgrades to furniture, walls, doors, molding and a good thorough cleaning. The refrigerator in the room was so cold everything we placed in it froze overnight. Controls to change the temperature didn't function. Leak developed our second night from a room upstairs. Water leaked into our bathroom ceiling and guest room running down through our ceiling and the wall paper/covering. The staff inspected and gave us a choice of changing rooms. We declined as we feared the room we would move to would be worse. Our in-room furniture was broken, torn, bleached, stained and in "junk" shape. Construction in the building would commence each morning between 8 and 9 AM. If we were staying several days to rest, this would have eliminated that. It appears they are renovating rooms and that will be a great upgrade, as I noticed many new mattresses being removed from a truck and drug across the ground by the unloading crew (Yes, you read that right). So you can imagine how bad the furnishings are at present. Walls had scratches, tears, holes and marks on them and ceiling plaster was peeling off our guest room. The breakfast was fair, but not up to LaQuinta standards we've experienced in other locations. Heat and microwave both worked and so did the hair dryer. Telephone was disconnected from its cord when we tried to call the late night staff for a concern, as was the alarm clock. The housekeeping staff, although they spoke very little English were always nice and friendly. So was the front desk woman each morning. Checkout was a breeze.
Dec 03, 2024 · Jim MathisThe young man up front was new came yesterday but great and excellent customer service. However, the manager who could’ve been there was on the phone trying to talk me out of booking a room. You can’t tell me how to spend my money. I’m also in the National Guard and attend a college in Georgia. She needs training and people who’s familiar with what to do. I was patient and I am very disappointed in Laquinta Brand.
Dec 18, 2024 · Amilja AdamsMy husband will never let me live this down that I reserved a room and forgot to check reviews. I swear I’ll still hear about it in our 80’s. Lol We came to town over Thanksgiving to see family and needed a place for one night. We had peeling paint in the bathroom, a torn office chair, and killed a roach on the nightstand within a few minutes of arrival. This was not like the photos I saw online. We had a great night out with family, and came in to sleep and check out the next morning. I woke up to saws and a hammer at 8:30am. When I left I told them that they really shouldn’t book people on the 2nd floor with renovations being done on the 3rd floor. I don’t think I’ll ever forget to check reviews again. I’ve learned my lesson! lol
