Priya was absolutely amazing apon check-in and more so with the other several questions I had. She took her time to help me and made us feel welcomed and valued!! We both had a pleasant experience each time either of us conversed with Priya. Thank you hiring staff for having such a lovely human working for you!!! You are lucky to have such a dedicated employee!! Kaitlin on the other hand, I have no comment. The house keeping staff here is doing awesome!! Thank you!! Room spelled and looked great. The hall and stairwell going from 1st to 3rd floor smell so bad of marijuana! As tho people were just smoking. I'm sure their fire detectors are up to code as it seems as there's been a pretty recent remodel..

This introduction will provide a detailed and objective overview of the hotel, combining information about its environment, services, features, and relevant promotional aspects, based on available public information and customer feedback.
La Quinta Inn & Suites is strategically located on Loudon Road (Route 9) in Latham, New York. This area is a commercial hub, characterized by a mix of retail establishments, restaurants, and other businesses. The hotel's position makes it particularly convenient for travelers utilizing Albany International Airport, which is typically a short drive away. This proximity is a major draw for guests seeking pre-flight stays, layovers, or those arriving late at night. The surrounding environment is generally busy due to the commercial nature of Loudon Road, which is a major thoroughfare. While this offers easy access to dining and shopping options, it also means that guests might experience some traffic noise. A notable aspect of its immediate surroundings, as highlighted by a customer review, is its location right beside a firehouse. For light sleepers, this is an important consideration, as emergency vehicle sirens could be a disturbance. Despite the commercial setting, the hotel does offer an area out back for walking dogs, indicating some effort to provide convenience for pet owners within its immediate vicinity. Overall, the environment is functional and geared towards accessibility for travelers, prioritizing convenience to the airport and local amenities over a secluded or scenic backdrop.
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Latham Albany Airport offers a range of services and features designed to provide a comfortable and convenient stay for its guests. Key aspects include:
Customer reviews offer valuable insights into the actual guest experience at La Quinta Inn & Suites. While many aspects are positive, particularly regarding staff and pet-friendliness, some recurring issues are highlighted. The most prominent concern is the pervasive smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke in hallways and stairwells, particularly from the first to the third floor, as well as sometimes in rooms. This suggests potential issues with smoke management or guest adherence to non-smoking policies, impacting the overall atmosphere for non-smoking guests. Additionally, noise disturbances from other guests, particularly late-night partying, have been reported, indicating that soundproofing might be a concern. The proximity to the firehouse also contributes to potential noise. While the staff, including management, is noted for being "quick to respond to issues," the presence of these recurring problems suggests a need for ongoing management of guest behavior and environmental factors. Some minor cleanliness issues, such as ants in rooms (though addressed by the guest themselves) and occasional overlooked details in housekeeping, have also been mentioned. These points suggest that while the hotel aims for comfort and convenience, some aspects of guest experience can be inconsistent and may depend on factors like room location and other guests' behavior.
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Latham Albany Airport primarily targets travelers seeking convenience, value, and pet-friendly accommodations. Its strategic location near Albany International Airport makes it an obvious choice for air travelers, offering easy access for early departures or late arrivals. The "Hotels Near Of Me" search category is particularly relevant here, as travelers often look for proximate lodging to airports. The hotel's pet-friendly policy is a significant promotional point, attracting a niche market that might otherwise struggle to find suitable accommodation. The complimentary breakfast and readily available coffee/tea further enhance its appeal to budget-conscious travelers and those seeking a quick and easy start to their day. While it caters to leisure travelers, its location and amenities also make it suitable for business travelers looking for a comfortable and functional stay with good connectivity. The positive feedback about specific staff members like Priya can also serve as a strong promotional tool, highlighting the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction through excellent customer service. Despite some reported issues, the overall value proposition—combining airport proximity, pet-friendliness, and essential amenities—positions La Quinta Inn & Suites as a practical and reliable option for a specific segment of the traveling public in the Latham/Albany area.

Mar 01, 2025 · Kate DemersMy fiancé and I stayed here almost a week and it was overall an okay experience. We were happy to find a place that accepted pets as we could have ours with us. On the positive side the staff here was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was pretty decent and they always have fresh coffee/tea/juice available. They have an area out back to walk your dog with poop bags. The room itself was small which was expected but on a bad note there were ants in the room. We were offered to but didn't want to switch rooms after getting settled so I just swept/cleaned them up daily. On the Friday night we were there the people above us were loudly partying and jumping around til about 4:30am, the halls and room smelt like weed and cigarette smoke which we weren't too fond of. The location is right beside a firehouse so if you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend staying here. Management was quick to respond to issues. There was hair on the shower curtain and toilet as if someone had just shaved. It also looked like the room hadn't been mopped in a while. Comfortable bed and convenient parking.
Jan 03, 2025 · Amanda HowlesPLEASE READ THRU.. Absolutely Horrible Experience – Do Not Book This Hotel I stayed at this hotel in early April 2025 for my sister’s wedding. I came from Ohio with my two daughters and had booked for 5 nights. I wish I could give this place zero stars. The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures. It’s not clean, poorly maintained, and there is rarely anyone at the front desk. The “breakfast” was awful—we could only stomach the hard bagels. On the second day, I found a bed bug on a towel in the bathroom. I immediately told housekeeping, who told me to call the front desk. I called 10 times with no answer, left a voicemail, and waited over an hour before the “manager” (Tiffany) finally showed up. Her response? I could check out if I wanted, but she didn’t know what else to do. I was shocked. I didn’t have the funds to find another hotel, and I was in town for a wedding I was actively helping plan. After I contacted the booking office to file a complaint, Tiffany suddenly offered to move me to a new room. This happened just an hour before the rehearsal dinner, so I had no choice but to pack everything up and move. Extremely inconvenient and stressful. The problems didn’t stop there. On Saturday morning (the day of the wedding), another manager came to my room while we were getting ready to ask if I was checking out—even though I booked until Sunday. I had already explained this, but apparently communication between staff is nonexistent. For the rest of the stay, I barely slept—constantly checking my daughters and myself for more bugs using a flashlight. It was traumatizing. My sister ended up booking a last-minute room at the Hilton the night before the wedding because she was afraid to sleep in my room. That added more cost we weren’t prepared for. To top it off, the key cards stopped working for two days and no one told us. We only found out after going back and forth to the front desk. Again—no communication and barely any staff. I’ve attached a video of the bed bug I found. I wish I had taken more evidence, but I was juggling wedding duties and a hotel disaster. I’m still waiting on the booking office to resolve my refund request, but it’s been difficult since the hotel isn’t responding. Bottom line: Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to risk bringing home bed bugs and dealing with an unresponsive, unprofessional staff. *unable to attach video 🤕 *** response to me reaching out to management as reply from La Quinta: I’m writing to express my continued disappointment regarding my recent stay at La Quinta. Despite reaching out to management to address the unacceptable experience I had, there has been no resolution or acknowledgment of the issues I faced. Additionally, I was informed that a refund has been denied. This is particularly frustrating given that my concerns remain unaddressed, and my experience has yet to be validated by La Quinta in any meaningful way. I would appreciate further review of this matter, as the handling of this situation so far has been extremely disheartening. Sincerely, Mercedes
Apr 24, 2025 · Mercedes OrtizAvoid this location like the plague. If there were the option to give zero stars, I would. Where to begin: 1. Beds and pillows are super soft so if you want to feel like you're in quicksand, these might be the beds for you. 2. Housekeeping is hit and miss and you should know there is no housekeeping on Saturdays. 3. In spite of multiple requests over the course of a week, our room was never cleaned and we ended up taking the trash out ourselves. 4. While there is a hot breakfast, the same thing is served daily: powdered eggs, overcooked sausage and rock hard potatoes and none of it is beyond lukewarm. There are other bread type items: bagels, waffle maker, english muffins and the like a bit of fresh fruit and yogurt. Coffee is available 24/7. The only positive I can offer is that the location is very close to the airport. The ice machine and washer in the laundry room are in the same hallway and each day they were being worked on. On 5/3, thanks to heavy rain and a leak in the laundry room, there was a very large pool of water in the 1st floor hallway leading out to the handicapped parking lot. I reported said leak and lake at 7:30 pm; at 9 pm it still wasn't cleaned up and I again reported it after seeing a guest nearly fall. The manager/front desk person told me "I know but there's no housekeeping/janitors today". I replied "yes I'm aware but YOU need to understand that this is a liability for this hotel if someone falls and is injured and it isn't my job but if you give me some towels, I'll do for guest safety". He said "I'll do it myself. It is now 10 pm and it's still not cleaned up.
May 04, 2025 · Paulissa KippNeeds a lot of work to renovate and clean up. No sound proofing in the hotel. Could hear a baby crying in the next room. Could hear every word of conversations with people walking down the hallways. From 8am to 810am, there was a dog barking in the hallway. Room was dirty. Shower was dirty. Sheets were dirty. See pics..
