I stayed here for one night. Staff were amazing, and very helpful. They answered our questions with great honesty. Room was great, only complaint is that the outlets on the lamps on the nightstand didn’t fit my box. Fine by me though. Pillows were a bit used but also fine. I had a great time and my mom said the bed was really comfortable and her neck didn’t hurt like usual. Cleaning lady was very kind and breakfast was delicious. I didn’t swim, but when I return again at sometime I will definitely try. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a decently priced nice hotel. I will definitely be staying here again if needed.

Jul 29, 2025 · Ethan ColeOur first time at the Magnuson was a good experience. I gave a 4-star for the room, only because the sink and tub drained a little slower than they should. Other than that, the room seemed nice and clean. What service we had was great. Coffee and breakfast snacks in the morning was a nice treat. The location worked out for us, as our event for the weekend was in Marquette, which was only a 15 mile drive.
May 04, 2025 · Nancy HertzbergSimply put, it’s too expensive for what you get. When I arrived, the grass was overgrown, the curtains of all the rooms were closed, and there were orange cones right in front of the lobby entrance (due to sidewalk repair). It looked closed. The rooms were decent enough, the bed was comfortable, even though the pillows were well-used. The pool and sauna were nice. The breakfast was pretty bad. It was mostly sweets, including Twinkies, chocolate cupcakes, and little Debbie knockoffs.
Jun 03, 2025 · 67SpectreArrived early and parking lot not plowed and told don’t park till done in the afternoon, no rooms available due to 35 rooms needing cleaning and no employees due to weather so check in would be later in the day. Pool area Bathroom is torn out from broken pipes but toilet works. So not able to check in, no place to put the trailer and sleds, change clothes or empty bags etc for 5 hrs. We decided to go home so cancelled our stay after 1 night. Been coming here for 30+ yrs and have seen the changes, used to be our go to but has become our backup as it becomes less and less desirable, if it wasn’t on the trails we wouldn’t ever stay there anymore except for a backup, employees are great but needs to be better overall.
Mar 09, 2025 · S HarOne would think they would try to be competitive, but I gave low reviews because all the online prices were better than going to the desk to get a room. Generally, you would think they would want to do better, even with their own website reservations. Limited with travel plans, we stayed and the accommodations were dated. Although, the shower was awesome with the "Powerblaster 5000!" Because they were not accommodating with their prices, we stay somewhere else the next time and will not go back.
