Location: You must have a car to get anywhere from this hotel, except for Costco, which is about a 15-minute walk away. This is helpful if you're staying in a room with a kitchenette and want to eat healthy. Otherwise, there is absolutely no way to walk, run, or exercise outside—the hotel is surrounded by big roads with few or no crosswalks. The whole area is not designed for pedestrians, which wasn’t obvious when I chose the location based on Google Maps. Breakfast: Standard offerings: scrambled eggs, coffee, sausage, cereals, yogurt, fresh apples and oranges, etc. Exercise Room: The gym has a good set of dumbbells, but only one stationary bike. The air conditioning/ventilation is very poor, and there’s a strong smell of cleaning chemicals. Room Cleanliness: I wish the floors were cleaner. I found heaps of pubic hairs in the corners of the room—truly disgusting. Windows: I wish I could open the window. It is designed to open, but it’s bolted shut. Kitchenette: The fridge is large, but the kitchenette lacks basics like a salad bowl, a kettle for boiling water, and even table spoons. This makes it quite limited. Suggestion: If providing these items by default isn’t possible, please make them available upon request. I asked for a salad bowl at reception, was told it would be brought the next morning, but it never arrived. Management: The managers seem to care—I saw someone (looked like the manager or owner) talking to guests at breakfast and handing out QR codes for reviews. However, my request for a salad bowl was ignored (see above). Smoke-Free Policy: Although the hotel claims to be smoke-free, the corridors often smelled strongly of smoke throughout my 6-night stay. No action was taken. Housekeeping: My room was never cleaned or attended to during my entire 6-night stay. I ran out of rubbish bags and kitchen towels, which was unpleasant. Final Note for Managers: I know you can’t fix the location, but addressing these easy-to-fix issues mentioned above would make for a much better stay for future guests.

Jul 24, 2025 · Pavel AfonineFor the past few months, I’ve been staying a few weekends here and I must say that MS DEBRA is a jewel! She’s very welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. She remembers me and also my specific request as well. Plus she’s always letting me know of promotion and upcoming events. It’s heartwarming to walk in and see her beautiful smile to assist at check in! Keep it up Ms. Debra! ♥️
Jun 13, 2025 · Justice NelsonGreat hotel not sure why it's only rated 2 star. Very clean, staff extremely helpful. Rooms have well equipped kitchenette. Close to restaurants and shopping outlets. Only a 20 minute uber ride into the centre of Chicago and about the same for the airport. Breakfast was great, alot of variety. Safe area very quiet. Would definitely recommend and if I return to Chicago I would stay again.
Aug 02, 2025 · Bea IgglesdenI was disappointed with this hotel considering the high rating. The facility looks well kept with professional staff but the was a terrible scent in the hallways. When we entered the room initially everything looked great. After settling in I came to realize that the room was not cleaned very well and there was a stench. For me if my hotel room doesn't make me feel comfortable right away my comfort level is ruined for the rest of my time there. So it was ruined. The rooms are too dark they need more lighting and the remote was sticky even though I kept cleaning it. Then there were knats flying around and although that seems simple and normal but when you couple it with a dim room and hair in the towels and crumbs on the chair and the stench it's just makes it all worst. I enjoyed the workout area so I gave 2 stars. 3 just felt like too much. This hotel seems to have so much potential to be a great place but you can't have a stench and dirty rooms with a nice looking kitchenette. It makes no sense. Very disappointed.
Apr 28, 2025 · m bilalCustomer service is # 1 for any business. Front desk person, Debora, is the right person for the job! She helped me out with many things and was very accommodating. Rooms were clean, breakfast was stocked, staff was friendly. I would stay here again.
