Staff is super friendly. Moses at Check In and Olga in the restaurant are pure professionals at their job. Friendly happy talkative and can handle large groups with ease. Hotel has been completely renovated and modernized. The breakfast buffet has scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, oatmeal. Olga has been here for a long time and it’s always great to see her!!

The front desk guest services was great! However, I can’t say the same about the room! The recently “refurbished” rooms were not great! Painting over eyesores and clear issues is not a refurbish! I’ve never been a fan of the Marriott brand and this stay just confirmed why. The restrooms are very small. Had to practically step in the shower to close the door and use the restroom. The shower was horrible! Absolutely no pressure and there was a rain shower head as an option as well, but it didn’t rain at all! The handheld wand was just as bad! There was a sewage odor coming from the drain in the shower as well. The room itself had some positive features. The bed was comfortable and the chaise lounge was decent! Overall I would not stay at this hotel again! It may be decent for some but I was not a fan!

If I could give this hotel no stars I would. I visited this hotel last weekend for a family reunion and it just so happened to have 4 3 other family reunions booked at the same time. Family reunions are typically booked months and months in advanced so the hotels are aware of how many rooms are needed and should be available before guest arrive for check in. Upon arrival the front desk was all over the place, we were able to check in but check in to a unclean room. Sheets were dirty, coffee stains all over the floor and dirty eyelashes on the nightstands. I gave a call to the front desk and they stated that someone would come up but housekeep was still cleaning on each floor and had until 4pm to clean all rooms. I was exhausted from early morning travel and just wanted to laydown and couldn't understand why they would let us check in to an unclean room. Two hours pasted by and no one had been up to the room and at this point it was 3:30. I left the room to get food and saw that the housekeeper, just one was on our floor. Once i returned you could that someone had come into our room but it was not left at its cleanest. Over all the front desk was very rude and nasty. They had a horrible attitude with my grandmother once she arrived to check in her 4 rooms way after check in time. They stated that they didn't know if those rooms where clean and could not give us a time on when they would be due to the fact that housekeeping was gone but they had someone on staff that use to be on housekeeping and was assisting. This is something I had never heard of at a hotel. To come off the road or off a plane after traveling all day and its 7pm or later and check in is at 4pm and rooms aren't clean or ready to be checked in is absolutely insane. I only stay at Marriott hotels and have been a member for the longest and this has been the worst experience I have ever experienced. It truly makes me reconsider where I should began booking my stays. The staff is not helpful, not concerned about there guest and should consider the field they work in.

Frequent traveler and visitor to Chicago Marriott Oak Brook. I have to say, Jessica and her energy is beyond exceptional every time I’ve stayed here. She is extremely helpful, and a rock star on the team in Oak Brook. I’d highly recommend staying here when visiting the Chicagoland area.
