Not a lot of noise and loitering. You have to expect, the issues. I have been here for a while. @ $800 or so, You can't beat it. The price includes, no bills for ,water, gas electricity cable and internet (which is horrible ), Housekeeping, I do my own, so not looking to them to keep my room clean. I spray for bugs on a regular. Down to a very few. Staff is alright, some better than others. Therefore it's cheap but horrible.

Metro Extended Stay Hotel Introduce

When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with an emphasis on affordability and longer stays in the Stone Mountain area, the Metro Extended Stay Hotel at 5075 GA-10, Stone Mountain, GA 30083, USA, often appears as an option. This hotel caters specifically to guests requiring extended lodging, offering amenities that support a more self-sufficient stay. You can contact them at (404) 292-5075 or +1 404-292-5075.

It's important to approach the Metro Extended Stay Hotel with a clear understanding of its target audience and what it aims to provide. As an extended stay property, its model is different from a typical nightly hotel, focusing on basic comforts and cost-effectiveness for longer durations.

Environment: Practicality Over Luxury

The environment at Metro Extended Stay Hotel is characterized by its utilitarian nature. It's designed to be a functional place for guests to reside for weeks or even months, rather than a luxurious vacation spot. Guest feedback indicates that noise and loitering are generally not significant issues, suggesting a relatively calm atmosphere for a budget extended stay property. While specific details on the aesthetic or common areas are limited, the overall impression is one of a no-frills, practical lodging option.

The hotel is situated on GA-10 (Memorial Drive), a main road in Stone Mountain, providing easy access to various parts of the city and surrounding areas. This location is convenient for those who rely on personal vehicles or public transportation for commuting. The hotel has 132 guestrooms spread across multiple floors, with an elevator/lift available for accessibility. Free parking is a valuable amenity for guests with cars.

Services: Essential for Extended Stays

The service model at Metro Extended Stay Hotel is tailored for longer-term residents. A significant aspect highlighted by a long-term guest is that the price includes "no bills for, water, gas, electricity, cable and internet," offering substantial savings on utilities for extended stays. This is a crucial benefit for individuals or families needing temporary housing where all-inclusive pricing is paramount.

Each of the 132 guestrooms features a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave. This allows guests to prepare their own meals, significantly reducing dining costs over an extended period. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available, though one reviewer noted it could be "horrible," suggesting potential inconsistencies in connection quality. A complimentary breakfast is also listed as an amenity.

Regarding housekeeping, one long-term guest explicitly stated, "Housekeeping, I do my own, so not looking to them to keep my room clean." This indicates that regular, daily housekeeping might not be standard for extended stay guests, which is common in this type of lodging. Guests should be prepared for a more self-sufficient approach to maintaining their room's cleanliness. The presence of laundry facilities on-site further supports long-term living.

It is important to address customer service, which has received mixed reviews. While some information suggests a generally "alright" staff, with some individuals being "better than others," a very negative experience was reported by a potential guest regarding a staff member named Robert, who was described as "rude" and "unprofessional." This suggests that guest experience with staff can vary significantly, and potential visitors should be aware of this possibility. The front desk operates 24 hours.

Features: Functionality for Long-Term Living

The primary feature of Metro Extended Stay Hotel is its emphasis on providing accommodations suitable for extended periods. The presence of kitchenettes in all 132 rooms is a core offering, enabling guests to cook and store food, which is essential for managing budgets during long stays. Rooms also include a TV for entertainment.

The hotel offers free self-parking, which is a significant advantage, especially for guests with personal vehicles who plan to stay for an extended duration. The hotel's focus on essential amenities like kitchenettes and free utilities makes it a practical choice for those relocating, on temporary assignments, or simply needing an affordable place to stay for an extended period.

While specific details about room types (e.g., King, Queen, etc.) are not widely available in the provided information, the hotel aims to offer comfortable surroundings for daily, weekly, and long-term stays. The 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities contribute to the convenience of long-term residents. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Promotional Information: Unbeatable Price for Extended Stays

The Metro Extended Stay Hotel's main promotional draw is its affordability, particularly for longer durations. One guest mentioned a price of "about $800 or so" including all bills, indicating that for those on a tight budget, the "value for the price is unbeatable." This competitive pricing makes it an attractive option for individuals or families who need to minimize living expenses over an extended period.

The hotel is part of the Metro Extended Stay Hotels chain, which emphasizes offering facilities convenient to major commercial areas in and around Metro Atlanta. Its location at 5075 Memorial Dr in Stone Mountain places it strategically for access to various points of interest. Stone Mountain Park is approximately 3 to 5 miles away, offering opportunities for hiking, the scenic railroad, cable car rides, and other family-friendly activities. Other nearby attractions include James R. Hallford Stadium, Waffle House Museum, and Art Station. The hotel is also within reasonable driving distance to downtown Atlanta attractions like the Georgia Aquarium, Underground Atlanta, and Six Flags Over Georgia. Public transportation options like Kensington Metro Station and Indian Creek Metro Station are also relatively close.

The hotel's check-in time is 02:00 PM, and check-out is 12:00 PM, offering a standard timeframe for arrivals and departures. Given its focus on extended stays, it's particularly appealing for those who value the cost-effectiveness of inclusive utilities and in-room cooking facilities. However, potential guests should manage expectations regarding luxury services and personal interactions with staff, given the mixed reviews. For those seeking a truly budget-friendly, no-frills option for a longer stay in the Stone Mountain area, the Metro Extended Stay Hotel can be a viable choice, aligning with the "Hotels Near Of Me" search for practical, extended lodging.

I called this hotel to find out some information about rates etc...I attempted to three way my husband to also ask some questions for the weekend of Aug 22. The man that answered the phone at the hotel desk named Robert (hopefully that's his true name) was not being patient nor courteous in waiting for my husband to ask him some questions. Robert was being very rude to us by saying huh! and hung up the phone, that's the first time. We called back and my husband asked him was he the one that hung up the phone and he said he was very busy and what do you want! My husband let him know he is not a child and not to talk to him in an unprofessional manner. Robert told my husband that he's very busy and he needs to tell him what he wants and was over talking my husband as I'm on the line listening to his rude behavior to my husband. Then Robert hung up on us again second time. All we wanted to do is get simple information and this man was treating us so badly that I will never stay at this hotel and the company shouldn't employ such rude people as their front line because front line is everything to a company but to have such a rude experience with this person made me change my mind about this hotel and I started looking for another hotel else where. If you call this hotel hopefully you wont get this rude employee that claims to be the manager and very unprofessional person name Robert.

This hotel is full of drug addicts and drug dealers and prostitutes! The manager is rude but nice to the ones he like and if you move in it's just like living in the hood! Make sure u bring spray and do it yourself and inspect your room carefully before paying! Stay in the front if u chose to rent!

The rooms are clean. I guess it's just the old cliche you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly. They have security at night. The beds are a bit hard. Just wasn't a place for me. But on a really tight budget, this motel would probably be the best on memorial drive.
