Got an order of fries to go , and even left a tip as well. I called to kindly ask for a replacement of fries if possible (the ones I got tasted kinda old and chewy) I got swore at and blamed that I shouldn't have taken so long to pick up my food then got hung up on. I called back and told her Im a customer and just would like to make and new order if she wouldn't do a replacement and she swore at me and told me that Im not a fn customer and not to call again! And this was the owner talking to me like this.
For local users searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me," the Parkview Hotel at 898 Main St, New Milford, PA 18834, USA, presents itself as a unique establishment that functions more as a local eatery and bar with attached lodging, rather than a conventional hotel. Its identity is strongly tied to its restaurant and bar, which are popular gathering spots for the community.
The environment of the Parkview Hotel is best understood through the lens of a local pub and diner. It's depicted as a place where "it's always a good time and good food," attracting a crowd of "good friends" who frequent the establishment. The atmosphere appears to be casual and laid-back, suitable for a relaxed meal or a social drink. While the hotel rooms are present, the primary draw, based on available reviews, seems to be the vibrant, community-oriented dining and bar area. It's a place where locals feel comfortable and can enjoy regular specials. The hotel side of the property is noted as being "not fancy and no frills," aiming for a "clean quiet and safe... quick spot to relax and rest." It's important to set expectations for a "typical old skool motel or motor lodge" rather than a modern, high-end hotel. The exterior is modest, reflecting its functional and established nature within the town.
The services at the Parkview Hotel appear to be geared towards its restaurant and bar patrons, with a 24/7 front desk for lodging guests. The positive reviews for the food and atmosphere suggest a generally friendly and efficient service within the dining area, particularly during popular events like "Thursday wing's and steak and cheese" nights. The availability of domestic and imported beers on draft and in bottles, including local Pennsylvania microbreweries, points to a focus on beverage service. For carry-out food, options are available, though one review indicates a severe negative experience with the owner regarding a take-out order, suggesting inconsistencies in customer service, especially outside of the direct dining experience. Regarding hotel services, amenities like daily housekeeping are typically offered. Pet-friendly policies are in place, allowing cats and dogs for an extra charge, with service animals exempt from fees. Free in-room WiFi is available to all guests, along with free local calls.
The features of the Parkview Hotel cater to both its restaurant and lodging functions.
Restaurant and Bar: This is the hotel's most prominent feature. The menu offers a range of casual American fare, including sandwiches like the Parkview Reuben and Cuban Sandwich, a Chipotle Black Bean Burger, and comfort food like Parkview Chicken Pot Pie. Breakfast items are also available, including Eds Carolina Grit Bowl and Thick Cut French Toast. The "Thursday wing's and steak and cheese" are highlighted as particularly "awesome" and popular. The bar offers a wide selection of beers, with some locally brewed options available. While their in-house kitchen offerings for hotel guests might be limited (e.g., microwaveable items), they facilitate access to external dining, noting that the adjacent Tomato Pie Cafe has a full menu and Metro Express Pizza delivers directly to their dining room.
Hotel Rooms: The accommodations are described as basic, "not fancy and no frills." They include standard amenities such as flat-screen TVs with cable channels, refrigerators, and phones. Bathrooms typically feature a shower/bathtub combination and provide designer toiletries and hair dryers. Rooms are often equipped with air conditioning, heating, fans, and blackout drapes/curtains for comfort. Soundproofed rooms are also mentioned, aiming to provide a quieter stay.
Common Areas: The hotel provides a free continental breakfast daily, usually from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, featuring items like waffles, coffee, juice, donuts, and pastries. There are coffee/tea facilities in the lobby, a computer station, and ATM/banking services. A garden area is also available for guest use. The property includes a conference center and a banquet hall, suggesting it can host events.
Parking: Free self-parking is available on site, with wheelchair-accessible parking options.
It's important to note some conflicting information from search results, where a "Parkview Inn and Conference Center" in Allentown, PA, shares many similar amenities (e.g., free breakfast, bar, pet-friendly) but has a pool, which the New Milford Parkview Hotel does not. The information provided here strictly adheres to the New Milford address and its associated reviews.
The location of the Parkview Hotel in New Milford, PA, places it in a small, quiet town in Susquehanna County. While it serves as a local hub for dining and socializing, its immediate surroundings offer a calm, rural environment. Guests can explore the charm of New Milford itself or venture out to enjoy the natural beauty of the Endless Mountains region. Attractions such as the Mormon Monument and the Nine Partners Monument are nearby for those interested in local history. For outdoor activities, the area offers opportunities for hiking and enjoying the countryside. The hotel's position on Main Street suggests easy access to any other local businesses or services in the immediate vicinity.
In terms of promotional information, the most compelling "promotion" for the Parkview Hotel, based on current reviews, is its reputation as a consistent spot for good food and good times, particularly on its "Thursday wing's and steak and cheese" nights. This consistent appeal draws local customers who are looking for a reliable, friendly place to eat and socialize. For lodging, its "affordable" nature and basic, no-frills accommodation could be a draw for budget-conscious travelers or those needing a simple place to rest. Given its more localized presence, direct booking by phone at (570) 465-7940 or +1 570-465-7940 is likely the primary method for inquiries and reservations. While there was a highly negative review concerning a take-out order and staff interaction, positive reviews emphasize the general "good time and good food" experienced by regular patrons. This suggests that for those seeking a casual, local eatery and a basic, clean place to stay, the Parkview Hotel can fulfill those needs. However, managing expectations regarding customer service for non-restaurant-related interactions might be prudent. The hotel's strong local patronage for its food and social atmosphere remains its most significant selling point for local users.

Aug 25, 2017 · Brian MirraI go here for breakfast approximately every two weeks. It's local and I find it relaxing to eat in even though it has not changed over the 30 years I have known this place. I just find it locally accessible.
