We had stayed at the Radisson from 16th of April to 23 April. Wanted to share our review since we had not stayed here earlier because of some negative reviews. We have family who moved to Freehold two years ago and we visit often. We stayed in East Brunswick which is a 30 min drive from Freehold during previous visits. During this visit, in spite of some negative reviews, we decided to book a room and take a chance. Initially, we booked for two days to check out the hotel and then we extended for another 4 nights. Overall, We were extremely satisfied with our stay at Radisson. 1. The room was cleaned everyday by some hardworking housekeeping staff. We are germophobes but the cleanliness in the hotel and the room was certainly up to the mark. 2.The bed linen got changed every day. 3. There was no Traffic noise. We had stayed on both sides of the hotel and we did not notice the noise from the traffic; the hotel is very quiet on weekdays. 4. The front desk staff are very helpful, responsive, and prompt. 5.The bathroom was very clean and they leave lots of towels. 6. The only thing we missed here was not having a restaurant in the hotel on weekdays, however there is morning fresh coffee ( insulated coffee urn would be better). 7. Breakfast.- It would be nice to have something in-house especially for the business traveler (I am sure all guests would like a reasonably priced breakfast at the hotel before heading out for the day!) though there are a lot of choices for UberEATS in the neighborhood. 8. They do not have microwave in the rooms but the moment you request one they deliver that to the room. Having a working microwave as a regular feature in the guest rooms will be a welcome plus. 9. The furniture may need some grades, especially the couch looks quite faded and spartan to the point of being cheerless in both the rooms we stayed. We came back with a positive opinion. We have decided that we should stay there during our visits in the future too since we do go to Freehold at-least three times a year. But we would appreciate some thoughtful improvements and added amenities to the hotel as suggested in the review.
For individuals and families searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Central New Jersey area, specifically around Freehold, the Radisson Hotel Freehold presents itself as a notable option. Situated at 50 Gibson Pl, Freehold, NJ 07728, USA, this hotel caters to a diverse range of guests, from those visiting family in the area to business travelers and attendees of local events. While some past negative reviews may have caused hesitation, recent guest experiences suggest a generally positive and satisfactory stay, particularly regarding cleanliness and service.
The environment of the Radisson Hotel Freehold is designed to offer a comfortable and relatively quiet retreat. Based on guest feedback, the hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness throughout its premises and in the individual rooms, which is a significant factor for many travelers. Despite its location, the hotel is noted for being "very quiet on weekdays," with minimal traffic noise noticed by guests who stayed on both sides of the establishment. This quiet environment is conducive to both restful sleep and productive work for business travelers. While the furniture in the rooms, specifically couches, might appear "faded and spartan" to some, suggesting a need for upgrades in certain areas, the overall impression of the environment leans towards functional cleanliness and tranquility rather than luxurious opulence. The property aims to provide a solid, dependable base for guests exploring or working in the Freehold area.
In terms of services, the Radisson Hotel Freehold excels in several key areas. A frequently praised aspect is the front desk staff, who are described as "very helpful, responsive, and prompt." This high level of attentiveness from the staff significantly enhances the guest experience, ensuring that requests are addressed efficiently. Housekeeping is another strong point, with guests noting that rooms are "cleaned everyday by some hardworking housekeeping staff" and that "bed linen got changed every day." For those who prioritize hygiene, this commitment to daily cleaning and linen changes is a considerable advantage. The bathrooms are also consistently highlighted as being "very clean" and well-stocked with "lots of towels." While the hotel does not have a full-service restaurant open on weekdays, a morning fresh coffee service is available. However, guests have expressed a desire for a more substantial and reasonably priced in-house breakfast, particularly for business travelers, suggesting an area for potential improvement. Despite the absence of microwaves in the rooms as a standard feature, the hotel is responsive to requests, delivering a microwave to the room upon asking, indicating a willingness to accommodate guest needs. These services collectively contribute to a comfortable and convenient stay.
The features of the Radisson Hotel Freehold cater to both short-term and extended stays. The provision of fresh coffee in the mornings, while perhaps not an extensive breakfast, is a convenient starting point for the day. The hotel's quiet nature, especially during weekdays, makes it suitable for business travelers who need to focus or unwind after a day of work. Its capacity to quickly provide amenities like microwaves upon request demonstrates a flexible approach to guest satisfaction. However, a notable feature that has caused significant dissatisfaction for some guests relates to event services. Specifically, one review highlighted a critical failure in service communication and delivery concerning a pre-arranged wedding after-party. Despite assurances and payments for rooms and transportation, the promised bar service was unavailable due to an "emergency several days ago," which was not communicated to the guests beforehand. The absence of a manager on-site or contactable during this critical time points to a potential lapse in management oversight for specific event-related commitments. This incident underscores the importance of clear, proactive communication, particularly for group bookings and special events, and suggests that guests planning such functions should confirm all details and contingencies with the hotel directly and perhaps in writing.
For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," promotional information for the Radisson Hotel Freehold would likely focus on its suitability for various types of stays. Given its location in Freehold, it's an excellent choice for those visiting nearby attractions like the Freehold Raceway Mall, local businesses, or family and friends in the surrounding communities. Promotions might include special rates for extended stays, packages for business travelers that could include early check-in or late check-out, or deals for family visitors. While not explicitly stated in the reviews, standard Radisson promotions often involve loyalty program benefits, seasonal discounts, or offers tied to specific events in the area. Guests planning to stay at the Radisson Hotel Freehold are encouraged to visit the hotel's official website or contact them directly via phone at (732) 780-3400 or mobile phone +1 732-780-3400. This will allow them to inquire about current rates, any available packages, and to clarify specifics regarding amenities and services, especially for group bookings or events, to ensure all expectations are met. While the hotel generally garners positive feedback for its cleanliness, quiet environment, and helpful staff, the isolated incident regarding event service highlights the importance of thorough planning and confirmation for special occasions. Nonetheless, for regular visits and general accommodation needs in the Freehold area, the Radisson Hotel Freehold offers a dependable and clean option.

Apr 26, 2025 · H VHotel was booked for my Son's wedding after party, we were assured that the bar would be opened. Booked & paid for rooms, transportation to and from the hotel and when we arrived we were told that there was no bar tender, they had an emergency several days ago, these leaves our family & friends standing in the lobby dumbfounded. This was not communicated to us prior as we would have make a change in plans. No manager was on site or could be contacted per the hostess. Unprofessional, save your money and bypass this establishment. Also, this is not a 4 star hotel by any means.
May 11, 2025 · Barbara SpringerI spoke directly to the hotel to make a reservation and the process was very courteous and efficient, right down to them supplying an email describing my cancellation options, if needed. The price was reasonable and the room was very nice. The pillows on the bed were so nice, my wife and I are looking into buying our own. Best night sleep I have ever had in a hotel! One of the few improvements I would suggest is they need more luggage carts and ramped curbs near the side door to make it easier for people to get their belongings in/out of the hotel. Overall, it was a great stay!!
Mar 24, 2025 · Bee VeeWould give a 0 star if able too. This hotel is horrendous at accommodations. We partnered with this hotel for over a year before our wedding night, and the night of the wedding when our dozens of guests arrive they wouldn’t open the bar. This is after email and phone call verification for over several months. When I expressed my concerns the girl at the front desk she told me I was rude and would not put us in contact with management. Would not recommend to anyone.
May 11, 2025 · Robert SpringerAWFUL SERVICE!!! The management is unprofessional and does not communicate to wedding parties that their bar was closed for THREE DAYS prior to the wedding. No call, no text, nothing. As a WHOLE WEDDING PARTY was coming there ONLY for the bar. Very dissatisfied. Please stop deleting the comments about this situation. Please be respectful and fix the situation now. Very unprofessional.
