For inquiries, guests can reach the resort at (855) 662-7181 or via mobile at +1 855-662-7181.
The environment of the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort is one of its most appealing aspects. Set on a 40-acre estate, the resort is perched atop a hillside, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Moat Mountain Range and the Saco River Valley. This elevated position provides a sense of tranquility while still being conveniently located near North Conway's most popular attractions. It is adjacent to US 302 and NH 16, and within minutes of Cranmore Mountain Resort (approximately 2 miles), Story Land (8 miles), Attitash Bear Peak Resort (9 miles), and the tax-free shopping at Settlers' Green Outlet Village. The resort's expansive grounds, featuring sweeping, fir-dotted lawns, contribute to a sense of a mountain escape, making it an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the Mount Washington Valley.
Red Jacket Mountain View Resort offers an extensive array of services and features, with a strong emphasis on family-friendly entertainment. The resort's crowning jewel is the Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park, a 40,000-square-foot facility that is Northern New England's largest indoor water park. This year-round attraction is typically heated to 82 degrees Fahrenheit and includes thrilling water slides (requiring a minimum height of 48 inches for two body slides, or 42-48 inches to ride red and yellow raft slides with an adult on a two-person raft), a wave pool, a 25-person hot tub (heated to 102 degrees), and the Little Kahuna Play Area for younger children with a triple slide, lemon drop swings, and geysers. Lifeguards are attentive, and the atmosphere is described as fun and inviting, perfect for spending the day rain or shine. Access to the water park usually requires a surcharge or is included in specific packages. The water park closes daily for routine maintenance between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Beyond the water park, the resort boasts additional aquatic options, including a heated outdoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool with lounge chairs, perfect for enjoying the warmer months. A hot tub is also available outside. For active guests, there is a fitness center and, according to some sources, tennis courts (though these might be at a sister property). An arcade/game room with 25 video games and other pursuits like air hockey provides further entertainment. The resort also offers a variety of organized children's activities and programs, such as movie nights, bonfires, sing-alongs, sleigh rides (seasonal), and Xbox video-game tournaments, ensuring there's "plenty to keep them busy" as one reviewer noted. A playground is available for outdoor play.
Dining at the resort includes Champney's Restaurant, a more formal dining room serving American cuisine with a New England flair, and Palmer's Valley View Lounge, a more casual bar and lounge area where guests can enjoy drinks. The resort also offers coffee and tea in the lobby, and some sources mention a poolside bar. While some reviews suggest that the property's design can feel somewhat haphazard due to additions over the years, the array of amenities is undeniable.
The resort features 160 guest rooms, including 12 suites and townhomes, distributed across a three-story building. Accommodations range from traditional rooms with king or two queen beds to more spacious suites and townhomes, some of which feature kitchenettes with refrigerators, microwaves, and coffeemakers. Many rooms offer private balconies or patios with spectacular mountain views. Standard in-room amenities include air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges (in some rooms), hairdryers, and irons/ironing boards. Hypoallergenic bedding is also provided. Some units may include whirlpools or jetted tubs. Cribs/infant beds and rollaway/extra beds are available for a fee. The resort is also pet-friendly, allowing small and large pets with an extra charge, although service animals are exempt from fees.
For business travelers and events, the resort offers 7 meeting rooms with a total event space of 12,400 square feet, capable of accommodating up to 600 people. This includes a large ballroom (Hampshire Hall) of 5,300 sq ft. A 24-hour business center, copier, and personal computers are also available. The resort has undergone renovations, with the last major renovation noted in 2007 or 2010, which indicates a commitment to maintaining the property, although some guests have noted that certain areas of the rooms might still feel dated.
Promotional information for Red Jacket Mountain View Resort often emphasizes its all-inclusive family fun, particularly highlighting the Kahuna Laguna water park. The resort frequently offers "Splash & Stay" packages that include water park passes, with options for weekend or midweek stays. Early booking discounts and seasonal promotions are also common. While the resort was loved by previous generations, recent reviews indicate that while the water park remains a major draw, some guests feel the overall design and certain aspects of the property could benefit from further updates. However, the attentive lifeguards and friendly staff, combined with the comprehensive range of activities, make it a highly recommended choice for families looking for an engaging and fun-filled vacation in North Conway, rain or shine. It is worth noting that a resort fee and parking fee may apply per night, which guests should consider when budgeting their stay.

Jan 20, 2025 · Jenessa ArsenaultFire aside, it’s sad to see this place in such a dysfunctional state. Loved going here as a kid in the late 70s and 80s, a once proud family resort that was ruined by the first water park iteration in the late 90s. Now there’s another massive new structure in back that’s connected to the original building. It looks like no thought was given to parking and design, just keep building on in different directions
Nov 15, 2024 · Matthew ReadmanDon't waste your time trying to book a room here! It does not exist!!!! My husband and I tried to book here for the North Conway NH location and it is not an option on the website, even though we were very specific about the location we were looking for. Google brought it up many times and it shows on the map. I tried calling the number but that was a dead end as well. Please don't waste your time like we did!
Sep 30, 2024 · Melissa AndersonDecided to stay here for my daughters birthday! We had a great time at the water park, they also have an arcade to keep the kids busy! We also went to Santa’s village which was awesome and close by! I highly recommend this place!
Apr 02, 2024 · Amanda TetreaultSo I’m going to start out with the positives. The room was super clean, no issues there. The front staff was super friendly. The arcade- they fixed their games and everything worked well for us. My kids had a blast in there. Now for the bad, the price of the room. 310 for 1 night. I read reviews of the hotel and after staying there I’m very surprised to see not one person mentioned how uncomfortable the beds are. It felt like a blow up mattress and moved like one too. The water park, my kids loved it- they are 3 and 4. But the front desk during check in never said you can use the water park the night you check in, and the next day for a couple hours as well. So for 1 night stay, you can actually use it for a day and a half. The food- very expensive, especially for the price of the room. Continental breakfast really should be offered.
