For those navigating the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the Stockbridge, Georgia area, the Red Roof Inn Atlanta Southeast - Stockbridge, located at 637 GA-138, Stockbridge, GA 30281, USA, positions itself as a budget-friendly option. As part of the Red Roof Inn brand, it aims to provide straightforward accommodations with essential amenities, though a review of recent guest feedback suggests a highly variable experience.
The Red Roof Inn Atlanta Southeast - Stockbridge benefits from a highly accessible location directly off GA-138, providing convenient access to Interstate 75 (Exit 228). This makes it an easy stop for travelers passing through or visiting the Stockbridge area. The hotel's proximity to various local eateries and entertainment options is a positive aspect, with many being within walking distance. However, reviews regarding the hotel's physical environment, particularly cleanliness and maintenance, are sharply divided and often negative. While some rooms might be adequately maintained, a significant number of guests have reported highly unsatisfactory conditions, including "disgusting" rooms, filthy surfaces, stained beds, questionable sheet cleanliness, outlets falling out of walls, unpainted wall patches, and visible dirt in hidden spots. There are also mentions of constant smoke alarm issues in some rooms. The building itself was built in 2001 and underwent a full renovation in August 2020, but the guest experiences suggest that maintenance and upkeep can be inconsistent. Noise can also be a factor, with reports of thin walls leading to disturbances from neighboring rooms. Despite these concerns, the hotel strives to provide a pleasant stay, with a lobby that offers free WiFi and coffee. The property offers free self-parking, including limited space for buses and trucks.
The Red Roof Inn Atlanta Southeast - Stockbridge provides a standard set of amenities commonly found in budget-tier hotels. Guests can expect a 24-hour front desk, though interactions with staff can be inconsistent, ranging from helpfulness in resolving issues to perceived rudeness or unresponsiveness to complaints. A complimentary continental breakfast is offered each morning from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, providing a basic start to the day with coffee/tea and various breakfast items. Free high-speed Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas. Guest rooms are equipped with climate-controlled air conditioning and heating, a 32-inch flat-screen TV with premium cable channels (including HBO), a mini-refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee/tea maker. Private bathrooms include a shower/tub combination, designer toiletries, and a hair dryer. Ironing facilities are also available. The hotel features a seasonal outdoor pool, typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, offering a leisure option during warmer months. There's also a picnic area with BBQ facilities for outdoor enjoyment. For extended stays or convenience, on-site self-serve laundry facilities are available. The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing one well-behaved domestic pet (cat or dog) to stay for free, with a fee of $15 per night for a second pet (up to 2 pets, not exceeding 80 lbs each, maximum $105 per stay). Pets must be declared at check-in and cannot be left unattended in the room. Braille/raised signage and wheelchair-accessible features are advertised for accessibility.
A key feature of the Red Roof Inn Atlanta Southeast - Stockbridge is its highly convenient location. Situated within Stockbridge, it offers easy access to major transportation arteries. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is approximately 20-25 minutes away, making it a viable option for airport-related travel. Downtown Atlanta and its numerous attractions, such as the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, and Centennial Olympic Park, are also within a manageable driving distance (around 20 miles). Locally, the hotel is positioned near popular attractions like the Atlanta Motor Speedway (approximately 15 miles away), the Road to Tara Museum, and Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary. Various shopping centers, including Southlake Mall, and a multitude of dining options are also nearby, enhancing guest convenience. However, a significant feature, as highlighted by numerous customer reviews, is the inconsistency and occasional challenges in customer service. While some guests report friendly staff, others recount experiences of being "insulted" or facing "horrible mess" when trying to rectify billing issues or address room problems. Lack of responsiveness from both local staff and corporate customer service in resolving disputes, particularly concerning unauthorized charges and maintenance issues, is a recurring theme. The pet-friendly policy, while a benefit, has also led to complaints about other guests' "uncalled for" comments about pets, indicating a need for better guest management in shared areas. The overall quality of experience appears highly dependent on the specific room assigned and the staff encountered.
As a Red Roof Inn, the hotel generally emphasizes its value proposition, offering competitive rates for budget-conscious travelers. Being part of the Red Roof brand, guests can participate in the RediRewards loyalty program, which allows members to earn points on stays that can be redeemed for free nights and other benefits. The hotel frequently promotes its complimentary amenities such as free Wi-Fi, free continental breakfast, and free parking, which contribute to the overall value for guests. The pet-friendly policy, with the first pet staying free, is also a significant promotional point for travelers with animals, setting it apart from many hotels that charge per pet or do not allow them. While specific short-term promotions may vary, the brand's core appeal lies in its affordability. Guests looking for the most current pricing and any ongoing special offers should check the official Red Roof Inn website or contact the Red Roof Inn Atlanta Southeast - Stockbridge directly at (678) 273-2610 or +1 678-273-2610. Given the mixed feedback, it is advisable for potential guests to call ahead to inquire about specific room availability, confirm pet policies and fees, and generally manage expectations regarding service consistency and room condition, especially when booking based purely on price.

Get directionsSince you requested a review...i have never been insulted upon checking in a RRI. HOWEVER as many times as I have stayed at this RRI, I guess there is always the first time. The new front desk clerk one day as I stood checking in informed me that she had 30 years customer service. The next day with the same person, she informed an individual staying at the Inn that she had 40 years. Didn't know 1 day equal 10 years....... The front desk the next day straightened out all the check in problems BUT the next day, the 3rd day, there was so much confusion that I saw I was charged double for a dog and charged for a room I had used points to get at no expense. Almost $100 more than original quoted and texted statement. It was a horrible mess to rectify. Home office said called the Inn and Inn said call customer service...no one would answer my questions. So i called the credit card compamy. To date it is correct but who knows if it really is. I am totally irritated by people with their own dogs and some they were holding...call out to my dogs...killer dogs...that's those mean dogs....this was totally uncalled for!!! Harrassment of this kind especially by dog owners is disgraceful. My dogs are not bad, nor do they kill anything...I was very upset. More occurred, such as the front desk on check in giving me a room that had the smoke alarm constantly alarming. I would not stay in that room but the front desk clerk who had assigned the room basically insulted me for refusal to occupy this room. Yes I did come to the front desk to solve problems......still lacking for an answer. No one cared to see what was generated in an email....so now you understand...i would gove you a 0 out of 5 if possible. Used points for a simply horrible humiliated weekend!!!
Apr 10, 2025 · Margaret PhillipsPictures lie! Thought it was a going to be decent. Even first walking in, wouldn't notice until you get to the main part of the hotel with the rooms. Literally, one of the most disgusting rooms I have ever stayed in. The rooms were filthy , don't even attempt to move stuff , you will find all the hidden unclean spots... the beds had stains and was questionable if they had been cleaned, the outlets falling out of the walls, and the walls Literally have just been filled in from holes but couldn't even paint to hide them 🤦♀️. For the price, you could go across the street and pay 100 bucks more and not have to question it the sheets are clean. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors talk and God forbid you turn off on the sound to the tv in the room to go to sleep...hear people screwing the whole night when you have kids in the room. Literally felt like I was staying in a Crack hotel.
Apr 06, 2025 · Heather HIf you just need a spot to catch some rest, then okay, but not the place to stay for days. I stayed due to plumbing issues at my home for 3days. My microwave was in the bathroom, water did not get hot in the shower but will burn the skin off your hands in the sink, fidge was dirty, had to keep getting up to change the TV and the roaches were accommodating. The night staff just did not have a welcoming spirit, he seem rude as hell. Did not want to give extra towels and they lock the damn front doors @8p. Would not recommend unless it's just for one night.
Jan 17, 2025 · Amicka TuggleTerrible. Do not stay here. The only reason I gave them 1 stars is because the guy at the front desk the night we checked in was nice. However, the room smelled. It was so bad that I had to light a scented candle and leave it lit the entire 2 days I spent in the room. The room was not clean. The remote was covered in something sticky. The tv only got 5 channels. I was afraid to use the tub because the bath mat that was in there stained and misshapen do to excessive use. There was a stained and broken ironing board that I couldn't put away because it wouldn't fold down. Me and my daughter and I left the hotel for a few hours, and when we returned, neither of our room keys worked. I will never stay at a red roof inn agian.
Jan 23, 2025 · Lyqunnia MitchellThis Red Roof Inn i stayed at on 2/21/25 was the biggest dump. It should be destroyed. It was the most disgusting dirty hotel i ever stayed in. If you are looking for a clean place to stay this is definitely not it.
