Used Priceline to find an inexpensive last-minute stay due to a surgery follow-up necessary in the local area in the morning. All outside entrances to rooms. Hotel 3 stories high. Lobby hidden at left bottom corner of building. No rmployee uniforms. Both young male workers wore black sweatpants. A $100.00 security deposit is required, as notice stated in lobby, in addition to room charge, but did not know that when I booked. Many hotels are charging a Refundable fee. Free wi-fi. Fridge and microwave in room.Free coffee. Plenty of hot water. Due to rust in tub, did not use shower. Free individual coffee in room. Not my type of hotel for a vacation, but if you need to rest a few hours and can get a discounted room rate, you will have accomplished your goal. You get what you pay for. The establishment's regular room rate is not worth it. No breakfast offered either.

Environment: A Practical Setting for Short Stays
The Red Roof Inn Philadelphia - Oxford Valley is situated in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, a suburban area in Bucks County. Its location on Cabot Blvd W suggests a commercial or industrial park setting, common for budget hotels. The hotel is a three-story building with all outside entrances to rooms, a typical design for this type of accommodation, prioritizing direct access. The lobby is noted as being somewhat "hidden at left bottom corner of building," which might require a moment to locate upon arrival.
While the surroundings are practical, the focus of this hotel is not on a luxurious or scenic environment. It functions as a convenient base for visitors to the local area, such as those with appointments for follow-up surgeries, or those looking for an economical place to stay near attractions like Oxford Valley Mall or Sesame Place, though it is not within walking distance of the latter. The environment is utilitarian, designed for guests who need a place to sleep and access basic facilities rather than an immersive or high-end experience.
Services: Essential Amenities with Varied Guest Experiences
The services at Red Roof Inn Philadelphia - Oxford Valley are focused on providing fundamental comforts, reflecting its budget-friendly positioning. However, guest experiences with service can be inconsistent, as highlighted in some reviews.
The lack of employee uniforms is noted, which, while not directly affecting service quality, can contribute to a less standardized and professional perception for some guests. Overall, the services aim to cover the basics for a practical stay.
Features: Functionality Over Luxury
The features of the Red Roof Inn Philadelphia - Oxford Valley emphasize functionality, cost-effectiveness, and ease of access.
However, some features might be less appealing to certain travelers, such as observed issues with room maintenance (e.g., "rust in tub") or the lack of breakfast, which underscore its no-frills nature. It is not designed to be a "vacation" type of hotel but rather a place to "rest a few hours" or for short, practical stays.
Promotional Information: Value for a Budget-Conscious Stay
The Red Roof Inn Philadelphia - Oxford Valley primarily promotes itself through its value proposition, appealing to specific segments of travelers:
However, potential guests should be aware of the "you get what you pay for" sentiment expressed in reviews. The hotel's promotional message implicitly emphasizes that it serves a specific need – a basic, affordable place to stay – rather than promising a luxurious or full-service experience. Direct communication with the hotel to confirm policies, such as the security deposit, is always recommended to ensure a smooth check-in. The hotel's focus remains on providing a functional and economical place to stay in Langhorne.

May 17, 2025 · Shelly DamianoThis hotel and its reception person Brian is horrible. My experience was unpleasant and unprofessional. I booked a room early in the day, told them I was getting there late and when I tried to check in they told me my room is not available because they overbooked and don’t have the room I paid for. This was 2am, where am I supposed to go at that time. Brian was rude, didn’t let me talk and kept ignoring me and even walked away and sat down leaving me standing there. He helped everyone else that came along and let them in the lobby except me. When I told him this was a horrible experience and I paid for a room and when I get there they told me they don’t have the room, his answer was “ did you read the reviews, why did you book here” unbelievable. I was left standing there at 2am and he walked away. I can go on saying a lot more unprofessional things he said, however I’m still in shock a hotel will treat you this way. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay there. They truly do NOT care.
Feb 23, 2025 · LettyI went through some stuff in December of last year and my family and I stayed here for about three weeks. While the staff up front was nice, I believe they were doing something strange with the money people were giving them to stay in the rooms.Like they were pocketing the money(I didn’t get my deposit back)They have a phone in the room which you can make calls but you the staff can’t hear you so you’ll have to call from your cell phone. On top of that one of the housekeepers stole some of my clothes! I had a ed hardy jacket that was stolen, a Nike shirt and A small bottle of perfume! I came back one day to my room and noticed that those three items had disappeared. I looked everywhere for them and the only thing that makes sense is that one of the housekeeper took them while I was gone! Considering my situation wasn’t good at the time, taking my stuff was a new low. I think I know who it was too I won’t say names but she had purple hair! I can’t prove that it was her but housekeepers have access to all rooms so it only makes sense. So if you do go here watch out for your belongings cause they will steal! And they might take your deposit too!
Feb 18, 2025 · Kayla Starlingi stayed for about two month. definitely not worth the money but its cheaper then other all the staff is great but the mother and daughter that works the front desk they treat people like crap if the daughter is having a bad day she takes it put on everybody that stays in the hotel and the other staff and the mother who is higher up and also her mother sits there and lets her do whatever she wants they always have different people in there with then that doesn’t work there just sitting around the outlets dont work and if they do they are loose so you have to put something there to hold the plug up they come in your room when your not around saying they have to clean it but they never do but then when another person asked for there room to be cleaned they say you have to ask when you pay for your room but they made sure everytime i left they came in my room things went missing hand prints on my mirror its just crazy there i wouldnt stay again!!!!!
May 07, 2025 · Emily ODonnellThis was the most retched experience I’ve ever had during any stay ever in my life. Stayed for 3 nights came back after work one of those nights to the water pressure being low. Then about 5 seconds of it running that’s all that came out. Disgusting feces water out of the sink, and shower. I’d also like to state on 2 of those night stays random people were given keys and just waltzed into my room thankfully there is a dead bolt. The floors are sticky and the whole place smells like body odor. The staff is extremely rude and when trying to inquire about the water situation. I had to actually bang on the door to wake the man who was dead asleep behind the counter. Funny. I called 5x before walking down from the room and nobody answered. I’d assume that could be why? DO NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU DO NOT VALUE YOUR HEALTH!!!
