Important Alert for Travelers: Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh North - Cranberry Township (Currently Non-Operational)
For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania area, it is imperative to share critical information regarding the Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh North - Cranberry Township, located at 20009 US-19, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066. While a phone number (724) 776-5670 or +1 724-776-5670 is listed, recent and highly concerning customer reviews strongly indicate that this hotel is currently non-operational and appears to be shut down.
Environment and Current Status:
Based on direct customer accounts from late 2024 and early 2025, the Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh North - Cranberry Township is not currently accepting guests and is in a state of severe disrepair or closure. Multiple guests who attempted to stay at this location reported finding "not one car in the lot" upon arrival and a sign on the door stating that "they are not selling any rooms." More alarmingly, one detailed review from January 2025 explicitly states that the "place posted for breaking ordinances from the county for NO HEAT OR HOT WATER AND ELECTRIC." The consensus from these recent reviews is that the hotel is completely shut down and uninhabitable. There are also reports of a "fake voice box" on the listed phone number, suggesting a deliberate attempt to mislead callers into believing the business is still operating.
Services and Features:
Due to the current non-operational status, none of the typical services or features expected of a hotel are available at the Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh North - Cranberry Township. This means there is no functional reception, no access to rooms, and no amenities such as heat, hot water, or electricity. Any information from past operations, such as free Wi-Fi, pet-friendly policies, or in-room amenities like TVs, microwaves, or refrigerators, is irrelevant given the hotel's current state. Travelers should proceed with the assumption that no services or features are being provided at this location.
Crucial Warning and Promotional Information (or Lack Thereof):
The most vital "promotional information" to convey about the Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh North - Cranberry Township is a strong warning against booking any rooms at this address. Numerous customers have reported being charged for nights they did not stay, despite the hotel being visibly closed upon their arrival. Guests have faced significant difficulties in obtaining refunds, with one review mentioning "still fighting trying to get my money back" months after the incident. This situation highlights a serious issue of unauthorized charges for non-existent services.
Given the reports of county ordinances being broken (lack of heat, hot water, electricity), the absence of staff, and the fraudulent nature of charges being processed for a closed establishment, it is paramount that local users and any travelers searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Cranberry Township area DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BOOK OR STAY AT THIS LOCATION. If any charges appear on your credit card from this property, it is strongly advised to dispute them with your bank or credit card company immediately.
While Red Roof Inn as a brand generally aims to provide budget-friendly accommodations with basic amenities, the specific property at 20009 US-19, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066, is currently not representative of these standards due to its reported non-operational status. The customer reviews are unequivocal in their warning: "DO NOT STAY HERE," "SHUT DOWN!!! AVOID BEING CHARGED!!!!!", and "Your health is more important for a cheap room! You get what you pay for & it’s sad."
This objective introduction, based solely on the provided and readily available internet information, aims to serve as a critical alert rather than a traditional hotel introduction. The primary purpose is to inform potential guests about the severe operational issues and to prevent them from experiencing financial loss or inconvenience. Please prioritize alternative accommodation options in the Cranberry Township area.

May 03, 2025 · Jacob GradySHUT DOWN!!! AVOID BEING CHARGED!!!!! I was charged back on 1/18/25 and 1/21/25 for two nights that I didn’t even stay. Upon arrival, they have the place posted for breaking ordinances from the county for NO HEAT OR HOT WATER AND ELECTRIC. I was charged twice and now into April, I’m still fighting trying to get my money back. What’s funny is… they have a fake voice box set up. When you call the number, it says “hello or who’s this” and then sits there. Trying to keep people thinking they are in business? This place was worst case scenario when it was open. If you’re reading this, do not book here because the place is shut down and you will not get your money.
Apr 05, 2025 · RonWhen I arrived at the Red Roof Inn, I was dismayed to find that the hotel was unexpectedly closed, despite the online information stating it was open and my reservation being confirmed. I arrived to find the property locked with no signs of activity, and naturally, I was quite frustrated as this created a very inconvenient situation. To make matters worse, my payment had already been processed, which only added to my confusion and frustration. Super 8 has recently opened and, as such, their rooms are fresh, modern, and well-maintained. The decor was stylish, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room had all the amenities I needed, including a well-equipped bathroom, fast Wi-Fi, and plenty of charging outlets for my devices. It felt like a brand-new hotel, which made my stay much more pleasant after the initial hiccup. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm, welcoming, and very clean. I appreciated the attention to detail and the fact that everything in my room worked perfectly, including the air conditioning, which was a relief given the warm temperatures during my visit. In comparison to the Red Roof Inn, which was a complete letdown, Super 8 by Wyndham Mars/Cranberry/Pittsburgh Area was 100% better in every aspect. The service, the room quality, and the overall experience were night and day. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Super 8 to anyone visiting this area, especially if you're looking for a comfortable, reliable, and modern place to stay. If you're heading to Cranberry Township or Pittsburgh, do yourself a favor and book your stay at Super 8—you won’t regret it!
Jan 21, 2025 · Martin groveI travel with my dog. This by far was the best red roof inn we have stayed in. Clean room, quiet hotel and awesome stàff. If I had questions prior to arrival they were amazing as was the young man when I stayed. Comfortable bed....great sleep....and dog also approved!
Dec 10, 2024 · Megen ProvanYikes. I’ve stayed a few Red Roofs that were actually pretty nice. This was not one of them. I arrived at 6pm, fought with the key card to open the room, got inside only to find the temperature was 55 degrees (it was 22 degrees outside). I cranked the thermostat to 80 in the hopes of warming up, no such luck. Back to the front desk I go. Clerk seemed defensive and agitated when I asked what the deal with the heat was. He was like “just put your hand by the baseboard and you’ll feel heat”. I was like, “yeah, it’s barely hot”. Around midnight the room temp finally hit 65. Oh, and the sheets and blankets were stained. The paint is peeling, there was mildew on the shower caulking and the bathroom floor was wet and squishy. I don’t see how the reviews are so high on this place. Literally go stay anywhere else, it’s super run down. I should have stayed in my truck instead, at least the heat works in it….
