Although the unit was older and somewhat worn, it was immaculately clean and everything worked and worked well! I appreciated that they asked if we needed any more time nearing the end of our stay. Apr 17, 2025 · Catherine LaSalleStay Away! I was a resident at The Residences at Daniel Webster, 246 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH for 8 months. I was told my room was in excellent condition by the front associates upon leaving and have video and photo evidence of that. I was told by multiple staff members I would be receiving my full deposit back within the contracted 30days. I then did not receive the deposit stated in our contract held up by New Hampshire Law. I noticed before moving out the negative reviews regarding the return of security deposits, showing this may happen often to residents who leave the establishment. Now that it is 2 days past Daniel Webster Legally obligated date of returnable, and I am now told that my deposit was used for replacing carpets, and for deep cleaning of the pull out couch. The carpet damage was noted before we moved in, as we were told by maintenance, there was floor damage to our unit before our presence due to previous flooding in the unit. Also upon moving into the unit there were hair extensions in our drains, further creating issues, as well as our water heater and A/C unit not being functional for multiple days without repair throughout our stay, throughout the summer. As for any damage from pets, my dogs were placed inside a crate while inside the residence at all times, I have documented evidence of such circumstances. Any damage to the furniture, especially the couch, was noted to have damage upon our arrival. Returning deposits seems to be a repeat offense as this issue seems to be unresolved. There was an individual who was deceased in the residence for days, as well as the unsanitary & not up to code, gym, laundry, wifi and pool services. The gym was not secure to residence, the door had no safety devices to prevent the public from using facilities. The gym also was never cleaned, covered in bodily fluids, with empty towel, water, and wipe dispensers. The restrooms for the use of the gym, were also always dusty, and never filled with even toilet paper or soap, often with many bugs. The laundry units were moldy, and one unit caught on fire, without any contact available, endangering all of the Residents on the property. The Wi-Fi which is contracted to have "good service" was consistently unactive, and unresponsive creating remote work issues for me and many residents. The pool was open for one day as for the rest of the pool season it was deemed "Unsanitary" and "wouldn't pass inspection". Again further creating health issues for all of the residents. The dog relief bags which were provided for dog facilities, were also left empty on multiple occasions, leaving the property scattered in dog fecal matter. Employees would be smoking near the garbage areas instead of working, also a fire hazard.
