I didn't read reviews and that was my fault. This is an extended stay that is literally falling apart. There's caution tape in multiple places and chalk writing on one wall asking for help outta this place. It's apparent that most individuals here, are long term residents and some appear homeless or on drugs. My room looks like it's probably the best there is and it's not even great or very clean. It's like I feel safe, but also I think I'm staying in a crack house for the night.

Rodeway Inn Introduce

For folks in Tennessee looking for a genuinely budget-conscious place to stay, perhaps for a very short overnight or if you're truly just needing the absolute basics, the Rodeway Inn in Nashville might cross your radar. Located conveniently near the airport, this hotel aims to offer a no-frills, economical option. It's important to set realistic expectations when considering a stay here, as it caters to a very specific type of traveler who prioritizes the lowest possible cost over extensive amenities or a luxury experience.

This Rodeway Inn is a part of the Choice Hotels family, known for providing simple, straightforward accommodations. While it may not offer all the bells and whistles of higher-priced hotels, it can be a practical choice if you're just passing through Nashville, need a place close to the airport, or are on a very strict budget. It's designed to provide the fundamental necessities for a night's rest.

Location and Accessibility

The Rodeway Inn is situated at 837 Briley Pkwy, Nashville, TN 37217, USA. Its location is a significant point of consideration, especially for Tennessee residents. Briley Parkway is a major thoroughfare, offering quick and easy access to Nashville International Airport (BNA), which is typically just a few miles away. This proximity makes it a suitable choice for travelers with early morning flights, late arrivals, or those just needing a place to rest their head before or after airport activities.

Beyond the airport, the hotel's location provides fairly good access to other major Nashville attractions, although a short drive will be necessary. You're within a reasonable distance of popular spots like Opry Mills shopping mall, Nissan Stadium, Bridgestone Arena, and even the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. Being right on a parkway means you can generally get to these destinations without navigating complex city streets. The accessibility to I-40 is also a plus for those traveling through Tennessee or needing to connect to other parts of the state. For those with their own vehicles, free parking is available on-site, which is a definite advantage in a city where parking can be expensive and scarce.

Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals

For us Tennesseans, the Rodeway Inn Nashville fills a very specific niche: the need for genuinely affordable accommodation when a no-frills, short stay is all that's required. If you're on a tight budget and need a place to crash near the airport for an early flight or late arrival, or if you're traveling with pets and need a budget-conscious, pet-friendly option, this hotel could be considered. Its primary appeal is its low price point and the availability of free parking, which are significant advantages in the greater Nashville area where these costs can quickly add up.

While reviews indicate that the hotel focuses on the absolute essentials and may show signs of wear, for locals who understand its value proposition – a place to simply lay your head without spending much – it serves its purpose. It's not a luxury retreat, but if your priority is minimal expenditure and proximity to the airport or major thoroughfares, the Rodeway Inn offers a pragmatic solution. For Tennessee residents prioritizing extreme budget travel, this hotel presents a basic, accessible option for a brief stay.

The majority of the occupants were living in these rooms, not as extended stay but homeless. We did not feel safe, and the no refunds sign at the door should have been an indication. constant smell of marijuana, obvious prostitution, and drug activity in the parking lot. room was dirty, holes in sheets, we wore flip flops in the shower it was so bad. Don't be cheap like we were, just spend the extra money and go to a normal hotel, you will regret staying here.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place earned it. Easily the worst experience I’ve ever had with any hotel, anywhere. We got there around 8PM after an eight-hour drive. Check-in was fine, but we got to our room and immediately realized the water wouldn’t cool down or even shut off. It was just blazing hot, nonstop. We called the front desk and a maintenance guy came up, but he couldn’t fix it. So now we’re standing in this hot, unusable room with a random guy trying to figure out a plumbing issue while all we want to do is shower and go to sleep. I eventually asked to be moved because this was going nowhere and it was getting late, now past 9PM. They handed us a key to another room on the fourth floor. We packed up all our stuff, went upstairs, and got to the door. The key doesn’t work. The lock itself isn’t even responding. We call again and ask if someone can bring us a new key since clearly this one is dead and we’ve already been through enough. The woman at the front desk tells me, “You’ll have to come down. I have four customers waiting.” As if we hadn’t been waiting for hours and still didn’t have a working room. So I go down alone while my girlfriend stays with our bags. Instead of a replacement key she gives me a whole new room. A third one. Now on the second floor. We drag everything back down and get in. There’s a puddle on the floor from the fridge and the microwave door is broken. We call again. At this point they even tried to imply the microwave damage might have been our fault, which is just insulting. We’re moved again. A fourth room. This one’s finally okay. But it’s late as hell by now, we’re exhausted, frustrated, and just done with it. In the morning, we went to the front desk to ask if they could offer at least a partial refund for everything we went through. We were told yes, that would’ve been possible if we hadn’t stayed the night. Except we asked for a refund the night before and were denied, told we’d only get our deposit back if we checked out. So that was a complete dead end. And here’s the part that really pushed it over the edge. While we were having that conversation, yes we were clearly annoyed and gave some attitude, which any reasonable person would understand. But the woman at the desk looked at us and said, “When people like you come in…” Right to our faces. That’s when it turned into a shouting match. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to cover it. This place is a joke. Horrible service, broken rooms, and staff that clearly don’t care. Never again.

If you're looking for that one review to decide whether to stay here - let this be it. Don't. I called ahead to confirm pricing, and the numbers didn't match what was listed online. When I asked about bringing our dogs, I clearly stated that only one dog would be out - our 8-week-old puppy is confined to her kennel due to the risk of parvo. The woman on the phone cut me off and said, "If she goes in the room, she counts." I hadn't checked the reviews beforehand - I saw the 2-star rating and figured it was just because it's close to the airport. I couldn't have been more wrong. We drove into the gated lot, thinking it'd feel secure - but the opposite was true. Two rooms were taped off with police tape, there were women who looked like prostitutes lingering in the shadows, and people on the balconies were screaming, drinking, and openly smoking weed. My husband was so exhausted he was willing to sleep in the back with the dogs - that's how desperate we were to find a place. But this hotel was sketchy, dangerous, and damnright unsettling. No hotel is worth risking your safety. From what we saw, it already looks like someone lost their life in one of those taped-off rooms. Please, if you're reading this and wondering if it's really that bad - avoid this place at all costs. It might just save your life.

Skip and book hotel Glo next door I stayed here 5 nights - I picked hotel cause it said 45-55 a night. ( cost more than that!) In March Thursday-Monday FEES you need to know about !! You loose /lock your self out : card 5$ to get a new one ! 3% credit card fee. 100$ fee Deposit - If you do separate bookings that are back to back the 11-3 they will charge you 25$ or ask you to move out of room then check back in at 3. ! There is no flexibility There Documents you are required to sign say in an emergency situation they can enter with out any notice including not knocking 🚨 The front lot is rented to airport parking which is closest to exit. Inconvenience to hotel guest I requested a main floor room. No accommodating ( ask for 1&2 floors - rooms 104 ect if have a dog ) instead they put me on the 4 th floor on a Saturday the elevator didn’t work for 24 hours ) the one thing that drove me nuts was rooms on 4 th floor the key would not work and 2x a day I’d have to go to the office just to get them to redo my key. And same for other hotel guest - if you’re busy trying to go to work. This isn’t ideal. Towels had hair on them. And the couch needs to be trashed and the chairs in lobby need to be put in the rooms or a futon at 100$ 🔌the outlets do not work for todays outlets and had to use power banks to charge my electronics Fridge has no freezer The elevator floor is nasty needs to be moped daily The lobby is the nicest part of the hotel Pluses Microwave fridge and comfortable bed Dog Travelers ; they had a husky dog roming the property no leash that lives there. When taking my dog out the husky kept wanting to approach my small dog. I told the dog to stop and no and dog w not do my commands No owner no leash yet they say they can’t do anything about it. !
