My family, parents with 2 kids a 11 year old and a 1 year old, stayed in this beautiful and special place for more than one week last summer. We were all very happy. The place is very beautiful with the “swan lake”, the owner Kimberly and her husband are so nice and helpful. We were touched when noticed they had covered all the sharp edges of the bed with foam tubes, to make sure our little one was safe staying in the apartment. We are going to stay there again this summer.

Sanctuary of the Swan Apart Hotel Introduce

Nestled at 540 Rugby Rd, Birdsboro, PA 19508, USA, the Sanctuary of the Swan Apart Hotel offers a truly distinctive and tranquil escape, standing out as an exceptional option for anyone searching on a "Hotels Near Of Me" platform. More than just a hotel, it is a "micro nature reserve" that provides a unique blend of comfortable accommodations and immersive natural beauty. This apart hotel is designed to cater to both short-term vacations and extended stays, offering guests the privacy and amenities of a home away from home.

The environment of the Sanctuary of the Swan is undoubtedly one of its most compelling features. Guests are welcomed into a serene setting characterized by a "swan lake," wetlands, a balanced ecosystem, and surrounding woods and oxygen fields. This private nature reserve is home to Royal White Mute Swans, 3-foot Koi, Mallard Ducks, and various other wildlife, including nesting American Bald Eagles and Great Blue Herons. The property encourages guests to experience the "healing power of Nature," providing opportunities to observe and even participate in daily swan and Koi feedings with a staff member. This unique interaction with nature sets it apart from conventional hotel stays, offering a peaceful and enriching experience for families, couples, and individuals alike. Despite its natural, secluded feel, the Sanctuary of the Swan is conveniently located just one mile from highway access and local shopping, offering the best of both worlds: a world apart in nature, yet close to modern conveniences. For those seeking outdoor adventures, the hotel is surrounded by over 7,500 acres of nature, including French Creek State Park, Daniel Boone Homestead, and opportunities for rock climbing and horseback riding.

The Sanctuary of the Swan Apart Hotel operates on an "aparthotel" model, meaning it provides whole-home accommodations rather than individual rooms. There are four distinct historic and romantic "homes" to choose from, each offering a fully appointed kitchen, living room with comfortable furniture, an office or large workspace, and a full private bath. This setup is particularly beneficial for extended stays, providing guests with the autonomy and comfort of a residential living space. Common amenities across these accommodations include air conditioning, free WiFi, and essential household items such as washers and dryers (available for long-term guests staying over 7 days). Each unit is meticulously cleaned and sanitized for over six hours prior to arrival, reflecting a strong commitment to guest safety and hygiene, particularly in the current climate. The property also emphasizes an eco-friendly policy, using recycled products, corn-made trash bags, energy-star appliances, and VOC-free materials in its apartments, showcasing a dedication to sustainability.

Services at the Sanctuary of the Swan are designed to enhance the guest experience with a personal touch. The owners, Kimberly and her husband, are frequently praised in reviews for being exceptionally nice, helpful, and attentive. They are noted for going above and beyond, such as covering sharp edges of beds with foam tubes for child safety, demonstrating a genuine concern for their guests' well-being. While breakfast is not a standard full service, complimentary continental breakfast, including pastries or muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, and tea, is offered for short-term guests (up to 6 days). The unique opportunity for guests to attend daily swan and Koi feedings, accompanied by staff, serves as a distinctive and memorable service. For guests needing assistance, the hosts are available via text, ensuring privacy while remaining responsive to needs. Check-in is generally from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM, with contactless options available for convenience.

A significant feature of the Sanctuary of the Swan is its pet-friendly policy. The hotel explicitly states it is "DOG FRIENDLY" and even removes carpets prior to a dog's stay to ensure dander is removed. It provides two yards for dog walking on the premises. However, it is crucial for potential guests to note the specifics of this policy, as detailed in some customer reviews. While generally pet-friendly, there are specific restrictions, such as not accepting certain breeds (e.g., pit bulls) and requiring guests to contact the owner in advance to discuss dog bookings. A dog proofing and cleaning charge, typically around $149 per stay per dog, applies, and dogs must be over one year old with vaccination documentation. Guests cannot leave dogs alone during their stay without a kennel. Transparency regarding these policies is emphasized by the owners.

Promotional information often highlights the Sanctuary of the Swan as a "5-star rated, hospitality guaranteed" alternative to traditional hotels, focusing on its unique nature retreat aspect. The property positions itself as a "wellness hotel" and a "safe stay in PA," especially given its distance from larger urban centers. While specific, ongoing promotions are not explicitly detailed, the hotel's appeal lies in its all-inclusive nature, providing fully equipped homes without the need for a lease, making it an attractive option for both leisure and business travelers seeking a non-traditional lodging experience. Guests are encouraged to book directly by calling (484) 587-3777 or +1 484-587-3777 for inquiries and potential direct booking benefits. The property also indicates a flexible cancellation policy based on booking conditions, suggesting direct communication is key for understanding terms. With its blend of natural beauty, thoughtful amenities, and personalized service, the Sanctuary of the Swan Apart Hotel is a compelling choice for those seeking a tranquil and unique stay in the Birdsboro area, perfectly fitting the criteria of "Hotels Near Of Me" with its distinct offerings.

Found this listing on Airbnb. Noted it said pet friendly and they offered a military discount. Attempted to call twice to direct book, with no answer or return calls. Ended up booking through Airbnb and making a $3000 deposit. Within an hour a lady named Kimberly reached out informing us they do not accept pit bulls . That information was tucked away in a separate link in fine print. So our options are board our dog and say at the location or cancel the stay and loose $3000. Understandably, this is a small business so refunding deposits is not financially suitable. However, instead of just saying “I understand as a pet friend location you don’t want to board your dog for over a month. And that’s a lot of money, so we will apply a $X amount for canceling and refund the rest.” Kimberly is going to take advantage of this mistake to pocket the $3000. Also, claiming you’re a pet friendly location but requiring people to board their dog for over a month is not entirely pet friendly.

This place is amazing! The view was so peaceful and tranquil. The hosts, Kimberly and Dennis are absolutely fabulous! I had never met them before I stayed there, but by the time I left, I had two new awesome friends. I totally recommend staying at Sanctuary of the Swan.

We expected this place would be good after reading the reviews. What we didn’t expect is it’s so good. Needless to say the peaceful fine location, the beautiful and very well maintained building, the cleanness and decoration with heart in the apartment, the welcomeness we felt when stepping in the apartment, and the fine breakfast, what touched us more is the love Kimberly and Dennis have for nature. This is definitely an amazing place to stay especially with kids.

Absolutely loved our stay! I've stayed in MANY vacation rentals - and this was by far the cleanest I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The bed was comfortable, the TV and internet worked flawlessly and we had everything we needed to cook and serve our own meals. The hosts were pleasant and accommodating. They provided so many nice touches that were unexpected - such as fruit and snacks in the fridge upon arrival, and bringing fresh cut flowers up to us 'just because'. The view out of the kitchen window was the stuff of postcards - just beautiful! If I visit the area again, I will not consider staying anywhere else!
