The hotel is comfortable and clean, but it is pretty noisy especially near the elevators (like any hotel). The staff is courteous and the Operations Manager (Gurpal Singh) is exceptional. There was a disturbance over the weekend in the adjoining room next to us which lasted through the night. Gurpal came in from his home to manage it and was gracious to us in offering a discount on the room rate due to not sleeping at all. We are thankful for his attentiveness and follow-through despite having so much going on!
When considering "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Edison, New Jersey area, the Sheraton Edison often appears as an option due to its brand recognition and strategic location. Situated at 125 Raritan Center Pkwy, Edison, NJ 08837, USA, this hotel is a well-known presence in the corporate and travel landscape of Central New Jersey. For inquiries and reservations, the hotel can be reached at (732) 225-8300 or via mobile at +1 732-225-8300.
The environment of the Sheraton Edison presents a mixed picture based on customer feedback. On one hand, the hotel is generally described as comfortable and clean, indicating a baseline level of maintenance and guest readiness. However, there are consistent mentions of noise, particularly near the elevators, which is a common challenge in many hotels. A more significant concern raised by a traveler is the overall cleanliness in common areas and rooms, particularly relating to pet hair. While the hotel is pet-friendly, this aspect has led to some guests being "astonished with how dirty the hotel was," even for pet owners themselves. The parking lot is also noted for having potholes, and parking near the entrance can be limited, which are practical considerations for guests arriving by car.
In terms of services, the Sheraton Edison aims to provide a full-service hotel experience, typical of the brand. Staff are generally described as courteous, with particular commendation for the Operations Manager, Gurpal Singh, whose attentiveness and follow-through in handling a disturbance were highlighted as exceptional. This suggests a dedicated management team committed to resolving guest issues when they arise. However, inconsistencies in service delivery, particularly regarding information from the front desk and housekeeping, are also noted. A significant concern raised by a frequent business traveler involved conflicting information about late checkout and an unprofessional interaction with a front desk manager. Similarly, issues with housekeeping not replenishing towels and expressing an inability to do so directly from their carts suggest a lack of streamlined service protocols.
Typically, a Sheraton hotel would offer a range of services including a 24-hour front desk, concierge services, and bellhop service. Room service would also be an expected amenity for a full-service hotel. Given its status, the hotel would also likely have facilities to support business travelers, such as meeting rooms and a business center.
The features of the Sheraton Edison align with the brand's offering, providing various amenities to enhance the guest experience. Standard room features would include comfortable beds, private bathrooms, flat-screen televisions, and Wi-Fi access. As a full-service property, it would likely boast an indoor pool and a fitness center, offering recreational and wellness opportunities for guests. On-site dining options, such as a restaurant and a bar/lounge, are also standard for a Sheraton, providing convenience for meals and drinks without needing to leave the premises. The hotel also offers extensive meeting and event spaces, catering to corporate events, conferences, and social gatherings.
A key feature, and a point of both convenience and contention, is the hotel's pet-friendly policy. While this is a welcome amenity for travelers with pets, the review regarding cleanliness suggests that the implementation or maintenance around this policy may need attention to ensure comfort for all guests, including those without pets or with allergies. The presence of a club lounge for Marriott Bonvoy elite members would also be a typical feature, offering enhanced services and amenities for loyal guests.
The hotel's location at 125 Raritan Center Pkwy is a major promotional point. Raritan Center is a prominent business park, making the Sheraton Edison a convenient choice for business travelers attending meetings or working in the area. Its proximity to major roadways like I-95 (New Jersey Turnpike) and Route 287 provides excellent connectivity to other parts of New Jersey and access to New York City. For leisure travelers, it offers a base for exploring attractions in Central New Jersey, although it's primarily situated in a corporate setting rather than a tourist hub. Nearby points of interest could include shopping centers, various dining options, and local entertainment venues, all accessible by car.
Promotional information for the Sheraton Edison would likely emphasize its brand reliability, its full-service amenities, and its strategic location within Raritan Center. It would target business travelers, conference attendees, and possibly leisure guests looking for a comfortable stay with a recognizable brand. The hotel might highlight its meeting facilities, on-site dining, and recreational options like a pool and fitness center. For Marriott Bonvoy members, the opportunity to earn and redeem points would be a significant draw. However, based on recent customer feedback, promotional efforts would need to address the reported inconsistencies in service and cleanliness to maintain guest confidence and ensure a positive reputation for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me." The experience of the Operations Manager in resolving a disturbance demonstrates a commitment to guest satisfaction from some staff, but the broader service delivery needs to be consistent across all touchpoints. The contrasting guest experiences highlight the importance of thorough consideration for potential visitors. While its location and brand promise convenience, recent feedback points to areas that prospective guests should be aware of before booking.

Apr 06, 2025 · Allison KrugI travel every week for work. Upon check in, I asked if I could check out late since I work night shift and wanted to rest before leaving the area. I was informed that I could stay until 1400. On my last day, the front desk manager who is very rude informed me that I cannot. After six days of confirming it with multiple front desk reps. When I arrived after a long shift at 11. I was informed that I had one hour to shower and leave the hotel. After speaking with the front desk about the potential mix up of information. The front desk manager told me that he is not running a charity. I didn’t even ask for it to be free. I was willing to compensate the hotel an additional cost but he wanted me to pay for an entire night to stay two more hours. The hotel housekeeping doesn’t give towels. I had to do their job by physically walking to the front desk everyday to ask for towel. They housekeepers said that they couldn’t give me the towels on their cart?! Regardless, the hotel is in a good location but the parking lot is filled with pot holes, parking is limited by the entrance, they allow big dogs and you will be able to see the hair all over the hotel in the common areas and room. I owned animals my entire life and still was astonished with how dirty the hotel was. I was offered to rebook this hotel for $65 this week. I quickly refused. My home is cleaner than the hotel. Do not waste your money here. Front desk manager is a joke and has no professional skills to deal with guest.
Apr 13, 2025 · Mariah HendersonThe hotel posted heated swimming pool. It was very cold The bathroom did not have a plug for hair dryer etc. It was very awkward to sit on the bed without a mirror to style my hair. The room lacked basic information about the hotel amenities and the area. The hotel lacked energy saving model..like recycle towels etc. The staff was very pleasant and went out of their way To shuttle us to an event. I would not return. No one to help us with our luggage. The hotel posted that was a restaurant; there was in the evening but the rest of the time it was kiosk with limited food.
May 15, 2025 · Jane SullivanStayed here for a convention. The hotel was pretty nice. Clean room and housekeeping daily. 2 bottles of water in room daily…appreciated that. There isn’t much for dining out nearby, so be prepared to drive somewhere. The breakfast was mediocre for the $20/person. Same powdered scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and cereal selection. This type of offering is usually comp at other hotel chains. For $20, food should be prepared fresh. Please get a better system for juices. You’re given a 3oz glass for both water and juice. OJ was on the buffet line in a 20oz carafe. Almost always empty.
Jan 28, 2025 · Jon LeemanNo shuttle The airport shuttle is very elusive. We picked this airport as it had a shuttle after a series of bureaucratic mistakes in the United Airlines system that culminated in one of our children having two boarding passes and another zero, only discovered on boarding. The shuttle was neither available for the trip from the airport nor to the airport. We asked for a taxi with a car seat and they said they would arrange one. However the apparently unlicensed vehicle had no car seat and demanded cash.
