A cute fireplace, but you have to buy the wood at the front desk, which would have been nice to know when we checked in. The mantle was already full of ash. One of the door handles is also broken. There was a nearly empty roll of toilet paper already in the bathroom. Our walk to the room wasn't cleared very well and there was a large portion that was very icy. The stairs to the upper floors were not in great condition, thankfully we were on the main floor. There was a sweater from a previous guest on the floor, there's damage everywhere you look, a burn on a nightstand, cracks in the walls and ceiling, black mold in one of the closets and stains on the curtains. Also the dead bugs in the kitchen light were a surprise. Plenty of hot water in the shower but no body wash or conditioner, only shampoo. I don't want to complain about this place considering the price but there's too much not to. I will give them credit for some things though. The toilet was clean, fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave, and oven were spotless, and our bed was fresh. Bed was hard but if that's your thing you'll be fine. Room had no smell and there was no sign of previous smoking as other reviews tell. It's fine for a single night stay but for multiple nights, go somewhere else. We won't be returning.

Sonesta ES Suites Burlington, VT Introduce

For those exploring options under "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Burlington, Vermont area, Sonesta ES Suites Burlington, VT offers an extended-stay concept designed to provide home-like comfort and convenience. Located at 35 Hurricane Ln, Williston, VT 05495, USA, and reachable by phone at (802) 878-2001 or +1 802-878-2001, this hotel caters to travelers seeking more space and amenities than a traditional hotel room, particularly for longer visits or family trips.

The environment of Sonesta ES Suites Burlington, VT is set in Williston, a town adjacent to Burlington, providing a balance of accessibility to urban attractions and a slightly more relaxed, suburban feel. The property itself features a low-rise design, with exterior corridors. While it's noted by some guests that the property shows signs of age and could benefit from renovations, it offers a practical base for exploring the wider Burlington area, including the University of Vermont, Church Street Marketplace, and ski resorts further afield. The location is considered convenient for families with young children looking to ski in Vermont. Guests have noted that while it's "not far off the beaten path," it is a generally quiet location.

The core service offering at Sonesta ES Suites is its all-suite accommodation. Each suite is designed with separate living and sleeping areas, and notably, a fully equipped kitchen. This includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and all necessary cooking basics like pots, pans, utensils, plates, and glasses. This feature is particularly beneficial for guests on extended stays or families looking to save on dining out, allowing for the preparation of home-cooked meals. Reviewers have praised the cleanliness of the fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave, and oven within the kitchenette.

Beyond the in-room amenities, the hotel provides several features aimed at enhancing guest comfort and convenience. A complimentary daily breakfast buffet is a key offering, providing a variety of options to start the day. An indoor pool is available for guests to enjoy, a popular amenity especially for families and during colder months. There is also a 24-hour fitness center for those wishing to maintain their workout routine. For business travelers, a business center with computers, printing, and fax capabilities is accessible 24 hours a day, and free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Laundry facilities are also on-site, offering guests the convenience of doing their own laundry during their stay.

The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming well-mannered pets up to 55 lbs in specific rooms for a fee. This is a significant advantage for travelers who wish to bring their furry companions along. Other amenities include a BBQ/picnic area, a terrace, a garden, and free self-parking. Some suites may even feature a fireplace, although guests should be aware that wood for these fireplaces might need to be purchased separately at the front desk.

Promotional information from Sonesta ES Suites emphasizes its value proposition for extended stays and families. They highlight the spacious suites with full kitchens, complimentary breakfast, and convenient amenities as key differentiators. The brand aims to provide "refreshingly different" accommodations that offer more than just a place to sleep. Special offers and discounts are often available for longer stays (e.g., 5 or more nights) and for group bookings. The official website and booking platforms present the hotel as a practical and budget-conscious choice for travelers who value the flexibility and comfort of an apartment-style living experience while on the road. The pet-friendly policy is also frequently promoted.

However, it is important to provide an objective introduction, incorporating recent guest feedback. While the hotel offers significant value and convenient amenities, some recent customer reviews indicate areas where the property may be showing its age or require more consistent attention to detail. One detailed review noted "noticeable stains on the bed," a "floor that didn't seem to be vacuumed," "damage everywhere you look," including a "burn on a nightstand," "cracks in the walls and ceiling," "black mold in one of the closets," and "stains on the curtains," along with "dead bugs in the kitchen light." This guest also mentioned an icy walk to the room and stairs that were "not in great condition," and a lack of body wash or conditioner in the bathroom. Another review, while generally positive about the price and location for a family ski trip, also pointed out "food wrappers with food decaying" behind nightstands and suggested bringing a humidifier. These comments suggest that while the core offerings like the full kitchen and breakfast are appreciated, prospective guests should manage expectations regarding the overall condition and maintenance of some areas of the property, especially for multi-night stays. Despite these concerns, positive comments consistently acknowledge the friendly and hardworking staff, the clean toilet, and fresh beds (though some found the bed hard). The hotel's appeal lies in its extended-stay features and competitive pricing, making it a viable option for specific travel needs, particularly for families looking for space and the ability to self-cater.

Great price and location for a family of 4 with 2 young kids to ski in VT. Great little breakfast and indoor pool. Wish there was more thorough cleaning behind night stands as we found some food wrappers with food decaying. Bring a humidifier if you’re concerned about the heating system. Strongly recommend closing the vents upstairs to allow the heat evenly distributed to the lower section. We did and it helped. Staff was friendly and hard working in all areas otherwise. This was our second visit in a year..

This was a terrible place to stay. We stayed for a month and not once had housekeeping services. We asked for clean sheets and towels and were told to leave the dirty ones at the front desk and clean ones would be delivered but they never came. We had to get our own towels and wash our own hotel sheets. The heat went out multiple times and we were left using the oven and space heaters (we had to buy them because the hotel was out of them) to heat the 55°+/- degree loft! Our family will not stay here again and we do not recommend it for an extended stay. Wouldn't be bad for a weekend if you understand that you are renting the space not getting a hotel experience.

The place is in some much needed tlc. Broken stair banisters and run down. The room was ant invested, and we were here at the end of February. I don't mean just a few ants here and there, they were in the beds, counters, table, walls and bathrooms. There were no extra blankets or pillows available for the pull out bed. No weather stripping around the door or fireplace so you could feel all the cold air coming from outside. Made it very hard to heat with below 0 temps. They were inconsistent with their treatment of guests when allowing access to the pool area. Before closing time my family was told they needed to leave because the pool was closing but after closing time we saw others in there. Heating vents were dirty and full of dust. This made breathing difficult for multiple memebers of our family. I had stayed here previously with no issues but it appears to be going down hill. There is great potential for this place as the location is great and the rooms are very spacious, but there needs to be some much better upkeep and management

Do not waste your time or money. This hotel is disgustingly dirty. It smells like old cigarettes, and I’m pretty certain that the bedding hasn’t been changed from one guest to the next. There are much better hotels out there for less money.
