Ok but wouldn't stay again. Beautiful and very clean however: Cannot shower in downstairs and upstairs bathroom at the same time..the water is a trickle. Should be advertised as 2.5 bath. Wi-fi is awful. Do everything you can while in town. Making a call is difficult. Bring DVD's to watch movies b/c streaming doesn't work. Mountain View??? Advertised as such but only very small view and from uncovered portion of the deck. Not visible from where we ate or the hot tub. Propane ran out our first night of cooking. They replaced it the next day. Check tank weight before grilling. Some ceiling light bulbs were out, they fixed that. No yard. Very steep driveway that is difficult to get in and out of car...need someone to hold the door open for you. Would be very difficult for anyone with physical limitations. carpenter bees dropping wood fibers from deck ceiling while we were eating and a bees nest in the window frame next to hot tub. hot tub nice but took over an hour to heat up (maybe that's typical?) Steep, narrow and very dark roads. Arrrive first time in daylight.

Southern Comfort Cabin Introduce

Introduction / Overview

For us Tennesseans, the call of the Great Smoky Mountains is a familiar and comforting one. We know that a true escape often means more than just a hotel room – it means finding a place that feels like a home away from home, nestled in the beauty of our mountains. "Southern Comfort Cabin," located in Sevierville, offers precisely that kind of experience. This charming cabin is designed to provide a serene and relaxing retreat, perfect for families, couples, or small groups looking to unwind and create cherished memories in the heart of the Smokies.

Southern Comfort Cabin aims to provide a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Recent guest reviews frequently praise its cleanliness and inviting atmosphere, with one guest noting, "The cabin was very nice and clean. Loved just being able to get away." While some past feedback mentioned minor considerations like water pressure when multiple showers are in use or Wi-Fi consistency, it’s clear that the overall experience for many is one of comfort and relaxation. The cabin often features appealing amenities like a private hot tub, a game room, and access to a community pool, making it an attractive option for those seeking both fun and tranquility. It embodies the essence of a peaceful mountain getaway, offering a comfortable base from which to explore the vibrant attractions of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.

Location and Accessibility

Southern Comfort Cabin is situated at 1455 Mountain Dreams Way, Sevierville, TN 37862, USA. This address places it within a cabin community, often described as being in a "quiet, peaceful Gnatty Branch Village" or similar resort areas like Shagbark Resort. For us locals, understanding the accessibility of mountain roads is crucial when planning our trips.

The cabin offers a fantastic blend of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to the bustling attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It's often highlighted as being "just minutes from Dollywood and the Smoky Mountain National Park" or "just a few miles" from the main Pigeon Forge Parkway. This excellent proximity means that iconic destinations such as The Island in Pigeon Forge, Titanic Museum, and a wide array of dinner shows, shopping, and dining options are all within a reasonable driving distance, often cited as 15-20 minutes. While some previous reviews mentioned "very steep driveway" and "Steep, narrow and very dark roads," more recent feedback and current listings indicate well-maintained, fully paved roads to the cabin, especially if located within a managed resort like Shagbark. It is always wise for first-time visitors to arrive during daylight hours to familiarize themselves with mountain roads. The availability of paved parking for multiple vehicles (often up to 4 cars) is a practical benefit for families or groups traveling together, making arrivals and departures straightforward.

  • Last-Minute Deals: Conversely, if there are unbooked dates close to the present, property managers may offer last-minute discounts to fill vacancies.
  • "Free Fun Pass" or Complimentary Attraction Tickets: A common value-added promotion from many cabin rental companies in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area is a "Free Fun Pass" or complimentary tickets to local attractions. This can include free admission to popular sites like dinner shows, museums, observation wheels, and more, significantly enhancing the value of your stay. Always verify if this specific "Southern Comfort Cabin" listing includes such a pass.
  • Specific Percentage Off: Look for direct percentage-off deals, such as "25% Off Seasonal Sale" or "20% Off your order" with specific promo codes.
  • Membership Discounts: Some property managers offer discounts for AAA & AARP members, military personnel, first responders, or teachers. It's always worth inquiring if you qualify.

Beautiful private cabin and view. But… fridge leaks, microwave door broken, beds and chairs broken, waited over 2 hours after check in for cleaning crew, hot tub broken, MANAGEMENT NEVER RESPONDED AND STILL HAS NOT RESPONDED. Not worth what we paid.

Started our weekend away with waiting over an hour on the phone because the access code we received was wrong. We had children who waited in the cold. We finally realized they got the lock box code and the keycode on the door mixed up, the person helping me on the phone had put me on hold and after figuring it out on our own we just hung up and no one returned our call to make sure we got in fine. We specifically got a cabin with a hot tub and it did not work at all. The beds were very outdated and broke down. The thermostat was set on 62 upon arrival and it was very cold. On our last day (today) we woke up to absolutely no water. We couldn't brush our teeth, we literally used water from water bottles. Couldn't shower, couldn't wash dishes. We called with what little service we had on top of the mountain to try to get things fixed multiple times over the weekend and no one ever showed. I've stayed in multiple cabins in pigeon forge/Gatlinburg over the years and this one was by far the worst experience I've had. Please spend your money somewhere else.

My family and I arrived at around 630 pm on the night of our check in after being told that the cabin was ready at 4. First thing I noticed was a used floss stick on the porch. Attempted to access the cabin with the given key code which did not work on at least 10 different tries. My wife then called the company providing information and was on the phone for almost an hour before being answered by someone who then proceeded to give us the incorrect code again and gave use the code for the keybox which also did not work. We finally gained access by using the keybox code for the door keypad. The grill on the porch had not been cleaned and there was a whole rotten onion on it. Majority of the beds were broken upstairs and downstairs. The pool cues were all unable to be used due to the ends being broken. The hot tub did not work and the company was called 3 times about and no service members ever came out. On the morning of our departure, we woke up to no water and were unable to use the bathroom or take a shower. Also, on a side note the internet is completely terrible and unusable for anything more than checking email. Completely disappointed in the price that we paid for this place and what we thought the services being provided would be. Would definitely look elsewhere!

5-day stay with immediate family and hosted 20 for family reunion. Fantastic view, quiet and had plenty of room. The road going up is extremely narrow in a few places, but after the first trip is not bad. Definitely need a booster for cellular signal as it's far from towers and signal comes and goes and is weak. Wifi is very slow, but ok for getting maps etc. We really enjoyed the stay. Only about 10 min drive to the main drag. Would totally recommend it.
