If you’re looking to glamp, this is the place to go! The staff is friendly, courteous, and listens to customers. Food is fabulous although the delivery of the food is a bit slow. Absolutely beautiful location. The tents are nice, comfortable and you have all the creature comforts. Keep in mind you’re in a tent, so if you have a family near your tent, you’ll probably hear the kids, but this place is wonderful. Very close to the great Smoky Mountains, and easy access into Pigeon Forge. We will definitely use Under Canvas again for more clamping adventures!

Apr 12, 2025 · Tammy Sells The ATL (Tammy Sells The ATL)I did not expect to like this, as it is very different from the way I normally like to travel (I tend more towards luxury full service hotels in city settings), but I ended up loving my time here and wanting to come back again soon! I booked this because of the partnership with Hyatt, and to get double qualifying nights as part of their promotion. The first thing that struck me was just how good condition everything at the camp is in. As someone who lives in a wooded humid area, I could never get canvas to look that good for long - they must clean everything at least once a week. The next thing you'll notice is just how nice the staff are. They are uniformly lovely, helpful people who are good at their jobs and want to be there, and it shows in everything they do. The food at the restaurant punches well above its weight, and we remarked how nice it was given the fact they have a captive audience and could have easily cut corners here, but very much do not. Overall, the experience is quite restful and I highly recommend that you give it a try!
May 24, 2025 · Stephen ItschnerI loved my first glamping experience and would highly recommend Under Canvas! Our tent was spacious and the technology was very cool: the lanterns, the showers, the wood burning stove! The bed was comfortable and bedding was very cozy. My tween and teen stayed in a kids tent which was perfect for a family of four. All of the food we ordered was delicious and we loved the nightly s'mores. We also booked a guided waterfall hike through Under Canvas and it was outstanding!
May 12, 2025 · Michelle FischerI LOVED my tent and the bed and the bathroom and the fireplace. The restaurant/bar and the staff were amazing and the food selection was awesome. It was mostly peaceful and raining and overall the getaway I needed. What I didn't love were the 2 tents surrounding me with kids under 2 who didn't sleep through the night and when I saw who were in the tents I knew that would be the deal. My only complaint would be they should diving the tents better into family and none family sections if possible. It's not that kids don't deserve to be there or shouldn't be there it's just we are all paying a premium and shouldn't really have to listen to kids cry from 10pm to 2am. At a normal campground where I am paying $50 a night vs $300+ a night not a big deal, but here it did disturb the peace we all paid a lot of money for 🤷🏼♀️ Just my tw cents.
May 20, 2025 · Shannon DevineUnfortunately, we are extremely disappointed with the overall ambience and vibe of this resort. We loved our stays at Under Canvas in both Zion and Acadia; recommend those very highly. Here are the issues I think one should be aware of in this case: 1) there is absolutely no cell or internet service in the camp or frankly near the camp— it’s a solid 20 mins drive into Pigeon Forge to get reliable cell and internet (recommend the dining area of Food City market near Starbucks if u need internet)— I just can’t understand why in the age of Starlink they wouldn’t invest in some modest shared access in main lodge. If u have any kind of home emergency contacts, or other issues requiring any kind of communication then this is not the resort for you; 2) it is approximately 91 degrees today (in April) and when you enter your tent, there are 2 small 7” fans by the bedside. The tent is Extremely uncomfortable with zero airflow and I can only imagine how much worse it would be when the weather turns warmer!! This is such an easily solved problem at so little expense I’m shocked at how uncomfortable the tent experience is during the daytime heat. At Zion, for example, the resort managers have invested in a sprinkler system and fans — this is a mind boggling design error that isn’t remotely on par with the other Under Canvas properties; 3) the rules set by the staff for unloading your vehicle seem unreasonable to me— I’ve included a picture to give u a sense of the situation. Even if it takes you a couple minutes to u load your vehicle there is absolutely no way u are allowed to park your car next to your tent to unload. But the road runs adjacent to your tent… this seems minor but detracts from the checkin experience when u are lugging a cooler and other baggage back and forth. The staff service is enthusiastic and helpful as one would expect from their brand- I found them to be attentive and friendly. I would give them five stars except for the prohibition to park and unload. The resort itself is set on a hilly area which u reach via a winding, narrow and twisting approach. The views are mediocre - the approach is also uninspiring. This location is a far cry from the stunning views and vibe at Zion and Acadia. It’s such a shame - we invited three other friends and family couples to join us and intro them to the brand and it’s fallen far short of their brand promise, except for service.
