This may be part of the Hilton brand but if you are a Hilton Honors member don't expect the same quality and clientele as other Hilton's. We dealt with screaming and loud music all evening and into the night, not to mention a constant smell of weed in the hallways. The only thing that helped somewhat was being on the top floor at the end of the hall. Had we been on a lower floor and not exhausted after traveling, we'd have gone somewhere else. I'd reserved 2 nights but told them by 9pm on our day of arrival that we would be checking out the following morning. The pictures online for the property are very outdated, as is the entire pool area. If you have children who want to swim, stay somewhere else. The pool area is filthy. There was dirt and hair all along the concrete area and very low water level. One door goes directly into the parking lot, and is only locked by a literal bar & rope wedged across the inside to keep it from being opened from the outside. The best way to describe it is a cheap motel with bright colors disguised as a Hilton. Staff was very friendly though.

Mar 29, 2025 · Ashley McClanahanIf you’re ever searching for a budget-friendly Hilton hotel that doesn’t compromise on quality, let me introduce you to a hidden gem: Spark by Hilton in Winston-Salem, NC. My stay here was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality. The customer service was beyond exceptional—it was explosive! Ms. Wendy, the manager, runs an outstanding team that operates with precision, professionalism, and genuine care for their guests. She even arranged for her assistant to personally show me around the property, including their event space, king-size rooms, and double-bed rooms. Each space was spotless, well-maintained, and inviting, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to excellence. Having spent over 15 years as a customer service trainer for both the airline industry and 18 years with the state of North Carolina, I hold service standards to a high bar. Let me tell you—the staff at Spark by Hilton soared past that bar with flying colors! Their attention to detail, efficiency, and commitment to guest satisfaction were top-tier, rivaling even the best in the business. What really impressed me was how seamlessly they handled my reservation. No unexpected charges, no unnecessary credit card holds—just transparent, honest pricing. That’s a rarity in today’s hotel industry, and it made my stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a hotel that offers affordability without sacrificing quality, service that makes you feel like a VIP, and a team that truly values its guests, Spark by Hilton off University Parkway in Winston-Salem is the place to be. I would gladly return for another event space or room stay in a heartbeat—five stars, every day, any day!
Mar 04, 2025 · Charlesetta TaylorFront desk folks were fun and welcoming. Room was clean, modern and well appointed. Room was cold throughout with heat set at 80 and temperature reading 69f. Breakfast was limited to breads, cereals, yogurt, juice and coffee. For the price, I would expect more and I felt sorry for families who were trying to feed kids on limited offerings. There were supplemental foods and drinks for purchase. All in all, good but not great.
Apr 13, 2025 · King StumppWe just arrived and found out that both the pool and workout room closed for painting. It’s really disappointing because we have a toddler who we promised we would take to the pool when we got here and I had a workout planned. The room is nice, but I’m so disappointed with this stay. They really should let you know when you’re checking in and offer a refund at that time since you won’t get half the amenities you’re paying for.
May 07, 2025 · Kailey SpilgerThe clientele is what makes this hotel a one-star rating. Stayed here two nights on March 14-16, 2025, and both nights, it was non-stop noise all throughout the night. Loud screaming, TVs at full volume, yelling.... The final straw was early Sunday at 3:30 am when some woman went screaming up and down the 3rd floor hallway she was going to shoot up the entire place. The cops were called, as you can see in my pic. This also might be the dirtiest Hilton property ever. The bathroom floors haven't been mopped or scrubbed in a long time. The shower head just trickled water. This place needs new management. If you're a Hilton Honors member looking for a hotel to live up to their name brand, this place is no more than a budget inn with the Hilton name slapped on it. Go elsewhere.
