Great place it's cozy and feels like home I've stayed here a lot in the past few years and its even better now with the new ceiling tiles and air units and the volley/racquet ball court is fun to use and the pool is warm! Can't beat a dip in heated pool! It's nice to open the window and hear the stream out back. Coming here Since 2022 and still loving this place 馃憣馃徎

Stay Berkshires Resort Introduce

For individuals seeking lodging options through the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform in the scenic region of Williamstown, Massachusetts, Stay Berkshires Resort emerges as a notable choice. Located at 1146 Cold Spring Rd, Williamstown, MA 01267, USA, this resort distinguishes itself with a unique blend of comfort, a welcoming atmosphere, and a range of amenities designed for relaxation and recreation. Guests frequently highlight its "cozy and feels like home" ambiance, suggesting a departure from the typical corporate hotel experience.

Environment:

Stay Berkshires Resort is nestled on Cold Spring Road in Williamstown, placing it within the picturesque landscape of the Berkshire Mountains. The location implies a natural and tranquil setting, away from the immediate hustle and bustle of a town center, yet still accessible. A significant environmental feature often mentioned by guests is the proximity to a "stream out back," providing a soothing natural soundtrack when windows are open. This suggests a serene and idyllic backdrop, perfect for those seeking to connect with nature during their stay. The resort's design aims to evoke a "country home vibe," creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and comfortable, distinct from large, impersonal hotel chains. The outdoor spaces are clearly emphasized, including a volley/racquetball court, a bocce ball area, and a fire ring surrounded by chairs. These elements contribute to a relaxed, recreational outdoor environment, encouraging guest interaction and enjoyment of the fresh air. The inclusion of a heated outdoor pool further enhances the resort's appeal, providing a year-round option for relaxation and fun, regardless of the crisp Berkshire air. Internally, guests report rooms are "kept clean" and have "comfortable beds," implying a focus on essential comforts. Recent updates, such as "new ceiling tiles and air units," indicate ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the physical environment of the property, ensuring a fresh and comfortable experience for repeat visitors.

Services:

The services at Stay Berkshires Resort are geared towards providing a welcoming and personalized guest experience. A standout aspect frequently praised by visitors is the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, particularly the manager, Joe, who is described as a "super friendly and very helpful" and an "all around great guy." This emphasis on personal connection distinguishes the resort from larger, more anonymous hotel chains, fostering a sense of belonging where guests "feel like you matter when you walk in." The availability of free Wi-Fi is a crucial service in today's travel landscape, and guests appreciate its reliability, noting it "helped a ton!" While the reviews don't detail a full-service restaurant or extensive room service, the focus appears to be on creating a comfortable stay with essential amenities. The presence of recreational facilities like the heated outdoor pool, volley/racquetball court, and bocce ball area, along with the communal fire pit, suggests a service model that encourages outdoor activity and relaxation within the resort grounds. The reception and availability of staff, though not explicitly detailed as 24/7, are implied to be sufficient for guest needs, given the positive interactions reported. The overall service philosophy seems to prioritize a friendly, attentive approach that makes guests feel like part of a community rather than just another key card. The ability to cater to guests even when "everyone else was booked up" also indicates a level of flexibility and capacity, particularly during peak seasons.

Features:

Stay Berkshires Resort boasts several key features that contribute to its appeal. Central to its offerings is the "heated outdoor pool," a highly valued amenity that allows guests to enjoy a swim regardless of the weather. This feature is consistently highlighted as a major draw for relaxation and unwinding. For active guests, the presence of a "volley/racquetball court" and a "bocce ball area" provides opportunities for engaging in recreational sports on-site. The "fire ring with chairs around it" offers a communal space for evening relaxation and socializing, creating a cozy atmosphere. The rooms themselves are noted for their cleanliness and comfortable beds, suggesting a focus on essential guest comfort. Recent upgrades, including "new ceiling tiles and air units," indicate a commitment to maintaining and improving the physical infrastructure of the rooms, ensuring a comfortable and modern experience. The "country home vibe" is a pervasive feature, defining the aesthetic and overall feel of the resort, making it distinct from more contemporary or corporate lodging options. The ability to "open the window and hear the stream out back" adds a unique natural feature, enhancing the serene ambiance. Free Wi-Fi is a standard yet essential feature that significantly contributes to guest convenience. The resort's less formal, more personal approach, as described by guests, where it's "not like those huge corporate hotels where you are just a key card," can also be considered a defining feature, appealing to guests who value a more intimate and friendly environment.

Promotional Information:

The promotional appeal of Stay Berkshires Resort largely stems from its strong positive word-of-mouth and the tangible benefits highlighted by satisfied guests. The most compelling promotional message is its ability to make guests feel "cozy and feels like home," fostering a sense of warmth and belonging. This emotional connection, combined with its distinct "country home vibe," is a powerful differentiator for users searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" who might be looking for something beyond a standard hotel. The "reasonable prices for the amenities offered" present a significant value proposition, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers who still desire comfort and recreational opportunities. The heated outdoor pool is a star attraction, heavily promoted by guests who rave about it as "the perfect way to unwind" and something that "can't beat." The consistent praise for the friendly and helpful staff, particularly the manager Joe, serves as an authentic endorsement of the resort's commitment to customer service. I stayed here because everyone else was booked up. Prices are reasonable for the amenities offered. I especially enjoyed the heated outdoor pool, after a long day of traveling around it was the perfect way to unwind. There is a volleyball court and bocce ball area. I also noticed a fire ring with chairs around it. The rooms themselves are kept clean, and beds were comfortable. The manager Joe is a super friendly and very helpful. All around great guy. The hotel offers a country home vibe, and you feel like you matter when you walk in. It not like those huge corporate hotels where you are just a key card. They also have free wifi which helped a ton! I will certainly go back and encourage others to give this place a try!

I really loved this place. Has a lot to do with what a nice person the manager is. But also, a very cozy spot with a well-maintained pool tucked into beautiful woods. Clean, friendly, no hassle. I鈥檒l be back!

Small hotel, friendly staff, decent continental breakfast. Nice sounds of a creek nearby. Rooms were quite pricey but that was a given for the time of our stay after a big concert. I edited my review after the owner said they made changes, however, I would note that they do NOT have new wood floors in ALL the rooms, as the owner said in a different review.... specifically number 22 which had carpet in a basement and the concerns I stated in my original review. I thought I was being polite leaving a 4 star review rather than a lower one and giving my honest opinion in the comments. I would suggest the owner take a full detailed tour of their property, and maybe stay there a few nights before claiming reviewers are trying to sabotage them. I will not be staying there in the future to see if the changes were made, but I have to laugh at the owners reply to another review, claiming that people enjoy the smell of dampness.

Google will not let me attach the photos to this review. I will keep trying to upload them. Made this booking on Priceline for $178.72 (see photo), was billed $195.54 from the company (also see photo). The additional fees were for housekeeping ($8), credit card charge ($5.04), and additional taxes (about $4). Got a phone call the morning of check-in, asking what time I would be there. I said between 8-9pm, and was advised our key would be in an envelope on the front desk. Okay, cool, no problem. Arrive around 8:30pm, find our envelope without any issues, entire place is deserted. There's 2 cars in the parking lot, all the rooms are pitch black, and we see nobody the entire time we are there. Mind you, it's a Saturday night in May. Our room is #8, first floor. We stayed less than 1 hour. There was mouse droppings around the bed, candy wrappers on the floor, mouse droppings and chewed food wrappers next to the dresser, hair in the shower, debris and cob webs on the canopy. The wiring for the wall light was plugged in next to the bed, and sent through an opening drilled into the wall. Remember, we were charged an additional cleaning fee prior to ever arriving; where'd that go? (See photos of the above) We left a note with the key when we left, regarding why we left because, again, no staff or anybody around. We called Priceline that night for a refund. Will never stay here again.
