This close proximity means guests can easily attend meteor showers, view the Milky Way, and participate in star parties without a long commute. Beyond stargazing, the cabins serve as an excellent base for exploring the Pennsylvania Wilds. The Susquehannock State Forest is nearby, offering numerous hiking trails, including the challenging Black Forest Trail and the scenic Golden Eagle Trail. For anglers, the forest is home to several trout streams like Kettle Creek and Pine Creek, as well as lakes and ponds for bass and panfish. Other nearby attractions include the Coudersport Ice Mine and Lyman Run State Park. The cabins provide convenient access to these natural wonders, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in outdoor sports and nature activities right from their doorstep.

Spacious and Well-Appointed Cabins:

Sweden Valley Cabins offers a diverse selection of units, ranging from cozy one-bedroom options to larger cabins that can accommodate groups. Each cabin is designed to be fully furnished and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and unforgettable stay. Based on guest reviews and property descriptions, common features include:

  • Full Kitchens / Kitchenettes: Many cabins come with fully equipped kitchens, or at least a kitchenette including a fridge (or mini-fridge), microwave, and coffee maker. This allows guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals, enhancing the "homey" feel and providing a cost-effective dining option.

  • Comfortable Living Spaces: Cabins typically feature a cozy living room with a TV (often a flat-screen with streaming services like Roku) and comfortable seating.

  • Comfortable Beds: Guests consistently praise the comfort of the beds, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of outdoor activities.

  • Private Bathrooms: Each unit includes a private bathroom, usually with a shower, and often supplied with essentials like a hair dryer, toilet paper, and cleaning products.

  • Outdoor Amenities: Many cabins offer a propane grill on-site, a picnic area, and a fire pit, perfect for outdoor cooking and evening gatherings under the stars. Some also boast large private decks with mountain views.

  • Connectivity: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all areas, allowing guests to stay connected even in a natural setting.

  • Climate Control: Air conditioning is available in the suites, ensuring comfort during warmer months.

The attention to detail and proactive maintenance are evident; for example, if an appliance like a fridge isn't working, the property managers are proactive in providing alternatives like a mini-fridge and cooler with ice, ensuring guests' needs are met without disruption.

Exceptional Services and Guest Care:

A recurring theme in guest feedback is the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the property management. The property manager, Jenn, is specifically mentioned for being "very welcoming and kind." Guests feel well taken care of, with reassurance that "If you run into any issues you will be well taken care of, just let them know!" • Cleanliness: The emphasis on cleanliness is consistently highlighted by guests, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic stay.

  • Free Private Parking: On-site free private parking is a convenient amenity for guests traveling by car.

My partner and I reserved two nights to see the meteor shower at Cherry Springs Park. The park is only about 15 minutes away. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The fridge wasn't working before we arrived, so she called us in advance to let us know, and supplied us with a mini fridge and a cooler with ice, which was plenty of space to keep all our food cold. We were impressed, she did everything she could to make things right. There is a propane grill available to use on site, which was awesome. Full kitchen, cozy living room with tv, and comfy bed. We were very comfortable and pleased with our stay. If you run into any issues you will be well taken care of, just let them know!

Such a find! We just needed somewhere to stay in Coudersport to go star gazing and so happy we found these cabins. The room was cozy, immaculate and had everything we needed and more! We also enjoyed the fire pit and creek running along the property. We couldn't have had better communication with Jenn. She gave us perfect instructions to enter with the electronic key pad and answered every question we had immediately ❤️ can't wait to go back next year!

I traveled solo to do some stargazing. I think the photos online look very little like the actual place. The proprietor was very nice and when I got there, she said she'd seen my booking request for a cabin with a front porch and was able to accomodate. When I saw the cabin, I thought I might not want it afterall, as it was right on a busy state highway and there was some big machine parked exactly in front of the cabin. She said that she could move me but the people on either side were pretty noisy. I saw an older couple sitting outside and figured they were renters. She assured me the machine would be removed, which it was not. I was there for two nights. The location is great to get to the Dark Skies Park but if I were going again, I'd keep driving down the road. There are lots of other more inviting place with much better street appeal. I felt safe but it was kind of icky and the air conditioner was black with mold on the inside. That's probably where I got my sinus infection.

The property was incredibly clean and homey! The owner was very responsive to any questions I had. The property is right off the main road and there are a lot of really cool things to do without driving very far. I will 100% stay here next time I plan a trip to the area! Thank you!
