What a great stay! The hotel grounds, common areas and our room were all exceptionally clean and well kept. Our room was very comfortable with a really comfy bed. Shannon was extremely helpful with a couple requests prior to our arrival; she was very welcoming! We had a wonderful dinner at Graze (server Cameron was great!). We will definitely be back!

Jun 08, 2025 · Joe DoerflerStaying here was a lovely experience! I was amazed at how well-kept this charming historic hotel & rooms were. It is evident that the owners invest in keeping it in top-notch shape and clean as it appears almost spotless! The room was very comfortable — clean, nice bed, tile floor bathrooms, comfortable sitting chair and a good desk. We dined at Grazes, the lemon drop martini I had was beautifully presented and delicious! Burger and fries were excellent too! The location of this hotel is only about 5 minutes off the freeway. I would 100% choose this hotel over one of the chains closer to the freeway for an overnight stay.
Jan 13, 2025 · Rachel RichardsI appreciate how friendly was the staff and how arranged everything looked the rooms were 7/10 in cleanliness and bathroom had a tub and was large. The rooms were very tight for two queen beds. The parking was very dark at nigh, no microwaves in the rooms. It does have a restaurant in the hotel that’s a bit pricey and no kid friendly items in the menu, that was a bit frustrating trying to find a location open at night to find food that was kids friendly, and budget friendly.
Mar 09, 2025 · The Yellow CardinalWe stumbled upon the Bolling Wilson Hotel while on a road trip from NY to Tennessee. Our original reservations a few towns away turned out to be a scary den of iniquity, and we chose to take our chances and keep on driving. At 1am, the staff made our last minute reservation and check in a simple process. They mentioned the room was "historic" with an apologetic tone, but we found it to be class, beautifully decorated, and perfect to our needs. The price was also quite acceptable. There were nice touches like embroidered pillows, fluffy towels, and Poo-pouri. Our favorite touch, however, was the gift basket for our Chocolate Lab, Rommie. They provided bowls, towels, treats and more. Parking was ample, and, the area was clean, quaint, and well-let; a welcomed contrast to our other reservation. The town of Wytheville is cute, with a couple of cute looking eating establishments in the area (we stopped at a nearby brew pub). While we were just stopping for a quick couple of winks on the way through, our great experience at this hotel earned it a spot on our list of places to visit again for a more in-depth exploration.
