My husband and I came here for a weekend getaway and it was the perfect place! It has everything you need to relax and unwind. The food and drinks are delicious & amazing. The spa has tons of affordable options and we loved having the sauna, pool, and hot tub available to relax before and after! But the highlight of this place was the friendly staff! Austin at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel special. He was so patient with the many questions I had and helpful with suggestions. I mentioned how much I loved all the fireplaces around the property and Austin took the initiative to see if we wanted to switch to a guest room with a fireplace in it! What a treat!! He didn’t have to check at all, but he did and it made our whole stay feel even more special! We will definitely be back for another weekend!!!

Very nice Inn, has a lovely rustic lodge feel. Our room was spacious, cozy and felt like home. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower was clean and modern and there was a mini fridge in our room. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. They have spa services as well. Function rooms and a restaurant on site. The breakfast was simple but they do a special cooked item each day. Only thing I will mention is it's an old building and sound carries when people are walking around in the halls. I would definitely stay here again.

When you picture a hotel in the beautiful NH mountains, you probably imagine a place like this. Great location off I-93 and conveniently located near downtown Plymouth, the Common Man oozes charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The building itself is historic and you can spend hours viewing the photos froms years past. After a day in the mountains, the hot tub and pool area are a great options. Finally, the food is off the charts!

Front desk person seemed put off by us asking for more towels. Diner breakfast area was the highlight of the stay. Great service and great food. The “Fosters” Restaurant was a terrible experience. Private “Wine” room wasn’t ready at reservation time. Although I paid an extra $100 to to reserve it . Waited at bar area , was told that you must be seated at the bar in order to have drink while you wait ( from the not so friendly hostess)I don’t know if it’s a law or policy. Finally get seated in the private area ( about 10 minutes after reservations) not a terrible thing except we couldn’t spend any money at the bar because we needed to be sitting to order a drink. Just a bad start to what should have been a good evening( daughters grad school graduation dinner )After 15 minutes in the private room and no one attempted to come and take a drink order . I walked out and asked for someone to come down and take our order. Two managers came down at different times and took our drink order. Waitress came and apologized and said she was really busy with another table of 15. Ordered apps and finally got our main dishes after an hour and a half . After us clearing all the plates and glasses out of the way. Just not good. I order a ribeye with mashed potatoes and a substitute salad instead of green beans. Now, I would think that if you order a $ 60 to $ 70 main entree ( added and extra ribeye instead of shrimp, was an up charge) that you would be served the chilled salad before your steak fresh off the grill . Apparently not. I was served my chilled salad and freshly cooked warm steak at the same time . Do you eat the steak first and let the chilled salad get warm or the chilled salad first and let the steak get cold? What a dilemma. Apparently the manager said because I substituted the salad for green beans, they were served at the same time. Your charging me almost $70 for a main dish and you don’t know that you serve the chilled salad before the main dish. The manager came and asked how everything was. I explained the situation. His answer was that most people have the salad with their main dish. Maybe at the Pizza Hut salad bar. Wait, You actually go up and get your salad before your pizza is served at Pizza Hut . Sorta makes sense. Just an overall bad experience. The cost of the( 6 person table) meal was $400 including tip. We were there for over 2 hours. Not because we are slow eaters, but slow service. A lot of money for terrible service. Bright side - the ribeye steak was cooked right ( med rare) and tasted pretty good. Don’t know how the salad tasted. I don’t think it was the server’s fault. I blame the management. Putting undertrained servers out on the floor. All easily fixable issues, with proper training. But, you got to have experience management first. Wont eat there again. But, would stay at the hotel.

The Common Man was absolutely fantastic to work with for my wedding weekend. Every phone call, email, and the weekend of, they were always happy and eager to help. The rooms were clean, and huge!, and everyone in our immediate family absolutely loved their rooms and experience staying here. It was great to be able to hang around the lobby at the end of the weekend and say goodbye to a lot of our guests - So cozy and cute! We also had our after party at Foster's Boiler Room and had a fantastic experience.
