This is a hidden gem! I was attending a work conference at the nearby Samoset, which was out of my budget for lodging. For the price we paid, the Country Inn was much nicer than we expected. Our room was spacious, with a separate living area and small kitchenette area with not just fridge and microwave, but also a sink! The bathroom was large and fully accessible, including a shower bench (we didn't need this but it was a nice thing to see offered). We even had a small patio outside the living area! It was clean everywhere we visited, and the halls and common areas were quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool room was lovely because it's saltwater, so it doesn't blast you with chlorine smell when you open the door. And, being right on Route 1, it's accessible to so many things, including nature options and a grocery store and gas station both in sight of the driveway of the inn. The little gift shop in the lobby is full of beautiful Maine products (no cheap-looking trinkets!). We will definitely stay here again!

What a pleasant surprise! Short version I’d highly recommend and would stay again. 0.9 miles from the downtown restaurant/shopping area. The hotel was immaculately clean and very cute, nicer than a lot of Marriotts lol. Only thing that was a little dated was the blue carpet and wallpaper in bathroom. Great sitting area, mini fridge, microwave and loveseat. Gas fireplace. First floor slider with chairs on porch. And again / everything was so clean!! Bed was comfortable, towels were nice and thick. Definitely stay here!

We are long time patrons and loved it. Recently our families home was lost in a fire . We lost everything. Our 11 year old included and lost her cat. She asked if we could stay here. I messaged them askedif they had a discounted rate for disaster. And explained what happened They refused discount and said no long term stay Which I did not ask for. Although if I had just gone paid for 2 weeks they would not turn Me away. So long term is conditional. Heartbreaking. We will never go again.

Our stay at this hotel was truly delightful. The reception area, adorned in charming country style decor, immediately set a welcoming tone. The man at the reception was exceptionally kind and made us feel right at home. Our room was impressively spacious and comfortable. We loved the amenities, especially the gas fire pit, pool and hot tub, which added to our relaxing experience. Although the breakfast selection was not vast, the waffles were absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we would highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect stay for 4 nights! Very clean cottage, private, everything you need for a nice stay. The front desk staff was so nice and the housekeeping staff as well. Stop at the front to read about the history and just check out the dining area and pool, etc. it’s very pretty. Free postcards which I love as I send myself postcards when we travel to remember our stays. The little road the cottage is on was so cute and everyone was quiet and respectful. At night the fire pit is lovely and there is ice cream and mini golf right next door!
