We were booked into the Pearl S. Buck Room on a Thursday and Friday for a family wedding nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. The room faces the street however, and others staying in the hotel with our group with similar rooms also remarked about the noise from folks on the street at the pizza place next door having a good time, well past midnight. It sounded like they were hanging out on the hotel porch below. Not the fault of the hotel, but we'd ask if there was a room away from the street if we stay there again. The bathroom was very clean and updated. I was a little cautious in the shower, finding the shower floor a little slippery, with nothing to grab on to. There was a good-sized room refrigerator, handy for the dozen bottles of wine we had brought for the wedding rehearsal dinner. My husband was wishing that there had been a coffee-maker in the room. Not a big deal. Street parking could be easily managed from the ParkMobile app from our room from 9am-6pm, free at night. There's a loading zone right out front, and a small lot up the block. The hotel manager cautioned that they sweep the street on the hotel side on Fridays, so no parking on Friday morning signs are posted there. We did see a meter man walk by as soon as we parked, so we kept an eye on the meter time. Nine of our party had a nice breakfast at the attached The Hattery Restaurant downstairs on Saturday before heading home. The hotel manager was able to kindly extend our check-out time until noon when our breakfast ran past 11:00. Hotel is quaint, and a little pricey, but it was convenient, and fine for our special occasion. We enjoyed our stay there.

Needed a place to stay for an overnight after a family event. The hotel was clean, the people were friendly and the atmosphere great! The Hattery had a delicious brunch on Sunday morning. The Inn is located in the center of a quaint little town ideal for strolling the shops and sampling local restaurants. I would definitely make a return visit.

Great character from the outside and in the lobby. Its lost in the rooms though, they are completely modern and all the character of a building this age has been removed. Overall had a comfortable stay and the staff was very friendly. Great location downtown with plenty of restaurants to choose from. No parking so plan for that..
