Apr 27, 2025 · Tom CharekThis "Grand Lodge" looks exactly like a McMansion. Nemicolin used to have appreciation for architecture and art until this commercial cookie cutter clone replaced the face of the building. It does not match the existing shapes and tudor style on left and right. It's just a cheap gawdy flat front enterance designed to maximize square footage/profits. Joe Hardy, would never allow such artless thuggery in the field architecture and consturction. The chateau was designed with a goal and philosophy, and it's authetic in its execution. Falling Rock, had a goal and philosphy to it's design and you get to experience that when you enter it. But this?!?! This crap looks like someone plopped a McMansion down. Who puts atrium in a Tudor Timber Frame?? A rich idiot who only wants what they want? Look at that giant plane of glass with no muntins on the central gable. Look at that ORANGE roof...yeah that's indictictive of this 1500s architectural style. What on earth was the architect going for?? Broke or creative bankruptcy? No one is ever going to sit on that porte cochère, it blistering in sun and you forgot to plant trees. So instead, a giant, always vacant, concrete seating area that only gets used once (for the brochure picture) and that's the master plan for the front yard to the grand lodge? Completely thoughtless design. A bushleague ediface of building supplies and nothing more. This how children draw buildings. "I made the house big cause I like it and the roof is orange because that's my favorite color."
