We stayed at the Greystone Inn for a "minimoon" 2-night weekend after our wedding. The area is beautiful and very quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. We were greeted with champagne and checked into the Cochran Suite that has a lakeside view. The room was very spacious and had a wonderful view of the lake, but the carpets were pretty dirty and have seen a lot of wear and tear. Everything else in the room was lovely and pretty clean. During the day, we would play some connect four and chess in their main house to make the time go by. They had some board games guests were sharing amongst each other. For the price, we thought the Greystone would include some additional amenities during our stay. We've stayed at more reasonably priced bed and breakfasts/inns that included lawn games or a happy hour with snacks. Breakfast and dinner at the Greystone restaurant were nice, but also expensive. The staff were all excellent and very attentive. The food was good but we expected a higher quality at the price point. Overall, the grounds are beautifully maintained and the room was pretty nice. We likely wouldn't splurge on a trip like this again given the majority of the cost goes to just staying at the Greystone.

Nov 22, 2024 · Jennifer FundoraWe were going to stay in Birmingham, but all the ordinary places like Hampton Inn or others of that caliber were $159-250 a night. Many had horrible reviews for mold, hair, roaches, crime, noise, etc. None of them had a 4.9 google review rating like the Greystone Inn. Friendly staff, guests, free breakfast, and free sodas / waters. 28mins to the Hoover Met Stadium area. At $88 you can’t beat it! 🤑
May 25, 2025 · J. JacksonThe most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed! We just couldn’t get over how cozy The Greystone Inn is and we loved everything about this place. The grounds are immaculate, the restaurant was fantastic, and Lake Toxaway is the most beautiful backdrop. We jumped in the lake and it was surprisingly warm for mid September!! Our room was beautifully done and their turn-down service was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and we cannot wait to come back. My mind is still blown looking back at all the photos we took here. I celebrated my birthday here and couldn’t have asked for a better trip.
Sep 14, 2024 · Sasha GabigWe visited the Greystone Inn on our honeymoon and had a great time. The drive to the property is grueling but if you want privacy and a remote location it’s worth it. Lake and property is beautiful and staff is very friendly and helpful when it comes to planning your activities. Rooms are cozy. It will burn a hole in your pocket, but it’s worth it for the luxury experience.
Aug 01, 2024 · ColdSpaghettiThe weekend began with a visit to the spa and ended with a lakeside brunch. The room and service were A+++ The only thing disappointing was that I didn’t book a longer stay. Can’t wait to return.
