Stayed overnight attending a wedding at the nearby Barker House with family. Beautiful view of the harbor. Room and bathroom spotless, bed comfortable, towels good quality. Staff were helpful. Continental breakfast was good and a nice touch having coffee, tea, hot cocoa round the clock. Only challenge is -there is no elevator- we did ok -but if you have little ones and a lot of suitcases/bags, be aware.

Dec 02, 2024 · Karen HayesHello, I wanted to share my recent experience at your hotel. Unfortunately, there were several issues during my stay. - The room was not clean when I arrived. - The breakfast did not have a variety of options. I hope you will take my comments into account to improve the experience of future guests. I would like to express my disappointment and frustration with the experience we had during our stay at your establishment. We felt that you took unfair advantage of us, charging us more than agreed upon for the room and other services. Transparency and honesty are essential in any business, and unfortunately, your hotel did not meet these expectations. We hope that you take steps to avoid similar situations in the future.

Mar 08, 2025 · James CookPlease don’t waste your money. I stayed here for with my 3 children and had a terrible experience being woken up at 12am with the people in the room next door loudly singing and cursing. I called the front desk without any answer. Walked downstairs at 12:25am and waited for the lady at the desk 10 minutes. The hotel considers this addressing the situation and refused to offer another night or compensation for the horrible night we had there. The manger stated that because she ‘bent the rules’ and accommodated our guests in the pool the day before that the hotel wouldn’t consider any request for reimbursement. The manager personally told us that it would be ok to have our guests use the pool. She later told me that it illegal and against their insurance policies for the hotel to do this. Then she stated I only asked for 2 children to use the pool but 3 children actually came. The 3rd child was my child that was a registered guest at the hotel that was traveling with his cousins. We had a total of 2 guests and my 3 children. The manager here has the poorest customer service that I have ever experienced. Read her replies to the other reviews about poor experiences at this hotel. If you have any issues at the hotel whatsoever, please know that this is who you will be dealing with. Rude, condescending, non empathetic and disrespectful. Not to mention if you have any luggage you will be lugging this up 3 flights of stairs and they won’t offer to help. There is no elevator. the sheets are thin, poor quality and feel old. Our twin bed was lumpy feeling. The carpet floors are not vacuumed. The pool water is not heated like the website states. The pool is in a heated basement and the room is about 90 degrees but the pool itself is cold. The breakfast has very few choices. Cereal is one of the few options but they don’t refill the tiny container of milk and after 2 of my children had cereal there wasn’t any milk left. The biggest issue by far though is the horrible hospitality and customer from the manager and her assistant. For the record, I would agree that I wouldn’t want to stay another night this place was a nightmare. Up at 12 am listening to drunk people party and being treated rudely by the staff. It wouldn’t be a ‘free’ night, it would be accommodating a guest after a poor experience. but instead, read the blast by the manager.
Aug 09, 2024 · Lesley MallettThe room was very attractive, newly renovated, and spotlessly clean. But I was surprised there wasn't a coffee maker in the room. Before you can get a coffee in the morning, you have to get dressed to go to the lobby. That's crazy. Also, the breakfast is pretty skimpy. Yogurt and an orange were fine, but the only pastry was a strange pistachio muffin wrapped in plastic. It wasn't very good. And no toaster to warm it. And there was limited seating without individual tables to sit at. The few armchairs were occupied. So we had to carry everything back to our room. The staff was very pleasant. The room was nice and very clean. But the bed was hard, the towels were limited and the ceiling soundproofing wasn't great. Overall, not the luxury experience I expected for $300 a night. (I paid a holiday rate.) I had mixed feelings about the whole experience.
