My husband and I recently stayed here to celebrate my birthday, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. We made the most of the spa, sauna, pool, hot tub, and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Rose Tavern. As first-time sauna users, we did find the 1-hour sauna sessions a bit long for our tastes, and it would have been nice to have shorter time slots and more information available for beginners. However, we still thoroughly enjoyed the experience overall. Dinner at the Rose Tavern was a highlight. Darick, our server, was outstanding and made sure we were well taken care of – his service was truly impeccable. A small suggestion for improvement would be clearer signage around the pool and hot tub areas. We had to bring our towels from our room, and it would have been helpful to have towels provided there, or at least some signage directing guests. I imagine it’s more streamlined during the summer months, but it was something to note during our visit. Lastly, while we loved the hotel and all it had to offer, it’s worth mentioning that the price point is on the higher end for the area. It definitely feels tailored more to the NYC crowd, with room rates that reflect that. Overall, though, it was a memorable stay, and we would consider returning.

This hotel is the epitome of simple beauty and relaxation. As soon as you walk in, your greeted with a calming smell and a very cozy yet large lobby and lounges. Every part of the hotel looks really cute and well maintained and clean. The different bars/lounges are very relaxing to hang out in, have very comfortable chairs and sofas, and have some games set on the tables. The showers are amazing, with great pressure and very roomy. Outside, there is a large pretty hot tub overlooking the lake, and a large *accessible* pool. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and that was absolutely fantastic as well. To top it off, all the staff so far have been very friendly. If the price was lower I would come back here many times :)
Mar 04, 2025 · Dean AttaliI had the most incredible time at this resort for my bachelorette getaway! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing—each meal felt like a special experience, and we couldn’t stop raving about it! Suzanne hosted a sound bath that was incredibly relaxing and really set the tone for our entire stay. It was such a unique and peaceful experience. The sauna experience was like nothing I’ve ever had before. It felt both rejuvenating and unique, definitely something I will remember for a long time. We also took advantage of the shuttle to get to dinner, which was a fun and convenient way to explore the area. The amenities were top-notch, especially the hot tub and heated pool. They were the perfect spots to unwind after a day full of relaxation and fun. Overall, this resort exceeded all expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable experience!

Mar 31, 2025 · Shannon ShonkBeautiful location and building. Front desk and door staff were great, but we had poor food service and my room wasn’t comfortable. I came for a meeting and breakfast was late and cold. Mid morning snack never arrived. Our lunch reservation was mysteriously cancelled and the hostess at Rose Tavern was impolite about seating us, even though the restaurant was empty. Our waiter told us not to get one of the entrees because “people have been not liking it.” I barely slept because the HVAC system was obscenely loud and constant, all pillows were enormous and I couldn’t get a window to open. A bright spot was the painting class we took. That was a delight.

May 23, 2025 · Tanya ZwahlenThe Lake House was one of the loveliest places we have every stayed in 35 years of marriage & traveling! From the moment you arrive and are welcomed in, you feel as though you are at someone's home...the furnishings, flowers and staff, give guests an overall feeling of being cared for in a most genuine way. After a long day of outdoor activities, the heated pool overlooking the lake is so serene; rooms are spacious; shower is spa-like and the bed is extremely comfortable. Lunch at the Rose Tavern was delicious-salads, sandwiches and bellinis:) Again, you feel as though you have stumbled upon a local spot, not necessarily a hotel! We practiced yoga each morning with Suzanne, an incredible instructor, and took the garden/greenhouse tour with John, their master horticulturalist. Make the most of it and take advantage of all the Lake House has to offer. You never have to leave, but if you do, there are shops, restaurants and other places of interest a walking distance or short drive away. Thank you all again for a most memorable stay. Can't wait to return with friends in the fall or next spring!
