Great stay! Highly recommended. Lodge: Family oriented, but as two dudes we still had a blast! Good vibes all around. Dining: Many options. Food was tasty. Overall 4* across the board. It’s pricey, yes, but that’s you get in a lodge like this. — check out the speakeasy if you can 👀 Room: We stayed in an Alpine Studio. The views were fantastic. The king bed was very comfy, but the pullout couch was not. There’s a legit kitchen in the room (dishwasher, stove, fridge, etc.) Ski: Mountain was AWESOME in late February. The ski instructors and workers were all very helpful.

Guest reviews for The Lodge at Spruce Peak are generally very positive, with many guests highly recommending it for its overall "great stay" and "good vibes." The "family oriented" atmosphere is often appreciated, even by groups of adults. The dining options are consistently rated well for taste, despite being acknowledged as "pricey." The room quality, especially the Alpine Studios with their full kitchens and fantastic views, receives high praise for being "beautiful, immaculately clean and plenty of space." The comfort of the king beds is also noted. The ski experience, including the helpfulness of ski instructors and workers, is highly commended. Many guests highlight the seamless check-in experience and the outstanding helpfulness and friendliness of all staff members, from the front desk to housekeeping and bellmen.
However, some critical feedback and important considerations for prospective guests also emerge from reviews. The most significant concern raised is the presence of "LOTS of extra fees tacked on," which can make the overall price feel "not worth it" for some, particularly if they are unable to utilize the amenities. A notable instance of this is when external companies book out entire amenities or restaurants, preventing regular patrons from partaking in them, leading to frustration and a feeling of not getting value for the high price paid. While the pull-out couches in rooms are a convenient feature for additional guests, they are often noted as "not comfy." The high cost of dining is a recurring point, though mitigated by the quality. Despite these points, the overwhelming sentiment leans towards a highly positive experience, particularly for those who can fully immerse themselves in the resort's extensive offerings and appreciate the high level of service. The consistent quality across the Hyatt brand is often cited as a reason for loyal guests to return.

Apr 10, 2025 · Kyle HenniesRoom was beautiful, immaculately clean and plenty of space, but LOTS of extra fees tacked on. Wish I could have checked out the amenities but sadly a company booked everything for the entire weekend so regular patrons weren’t allowed to partake in any of them. For the amount we paid and what we were able to do, it wasn’t worth it. We couldn't even eat at the restaurant on site, because again they were all booked up for this company.
May 18, 2025 · lisa harveyWe really enjoyed our stay at The Lodge at Spruce Peak during our fall foliage trip in October 2024. The views from our room were stunning—vibrant autumn colors covering the mountains. The Lodge also offers excellent dining options (be sure to make reservations). A beautiful spot for leaf peeping, and we’d definitely stay here again.
Apr 25, 2025 · Steve SheltonThe Lodge was amazing. Great location, right on the slopes and plenty of activities available to book. Unfortunately all the activities we booked were cancelled due to the weather being too windy. All staff were so friendly and helpful which made such a positive impact to us in our stay. The room was spacious and beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower was great, pressure and temperatures. We would definitely stay again the next time we come to Stowe!
Jan 12, 2025 · Lily HI am so glad we booked this trip at Spruce Peak. It was a fantastic stay with absolutely beautiful views. Everything you need is there and if not, you can take the local mountain bus into the village. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. I have recommended the lodge to my family and friends as well after our stay.
