We arrived at the "inn" after asking for an early check in, since we had an appointment to get to. when I called the number, no- one answered the phone, and there wasn't anyone there to help. After several phone calls, we were able to get someone to give us the lock box number so we could get the key. The room was a good size, but that's the only good thing. The bulbs in the fixtures were burned out, the bathroom was falling apart, (tub fixtures, pealing wall paper, a rusty towel rack), then to top it all off, the place was almost completely empty, but they put the only other guest in the next room who player their TV all night extremely loudly, and the walls were extremely thin. I could hear everything. There was no one to talk to about it in the middle of the night. Don't stay here. Pay a couple of bucks more and stay somewhere decent.

The Milestone Inn Introduce

For individuals exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform in search of accommodation in Woodbury, Connecticut, The Milestone Inn is a property that may appear in their search results. Located at 146 S Pomperaug Ave, Woodbury, CT 06798, USA, this establishment offers lodging in the area. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of The Milestone Inn, drawing upon its contact information, address, and particularly contrasting customer feedback, to help potential guests make an informed decision.

The primary contact numbers for The Milestone Inn are (203) 405-6261 and a mobile phone number +1 203-405-6261. These details are important for any direct communication, inquiries, or booking processes. The address, 146 S Pomperaug Ave, places the inn within Woodbury, CT, a town known for its antique shops and scenic New England charm. When considering a stay, prospective guests on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform often weigh factors such as the hotel's environment, the services offered, specific features, and any promotional information that might influence their choice.

Regarding the environment, The Milestone Inn is situated on South Pomperaug Avenue. The exterior and immediate surroundings contribute to a guest's initial impression. While no specific details are provided about the exterior environment in the positive review, one negative review noted that "the place was almost completely empty," which could imply a quiet, or conversely, a somewhat desolate atmosphere. The overall ambiance of an inn is crucial, and the presence of other guests, or lack thereof, can significantly shape the experience. For those looking for a lively atmosphere, an empty property might be less appealing, while those seeking solitude might find it suitable. However, the empty state did not prevent issues for one guest, highlighting thin walls despite the low occupancy.

The services at The Milestone Inn present a particularly mixed picture based on the provided reviews. One customer had a highly negative experience concerning check-in service. They reported difficulty in reaching anyone by phone ("no-one answered the phone") and a complete absence of staff upon arrival ("there wasn't anyone there to help") for an early check-in they had requested. It took "several phone calls" to finally obtain a lockbox number for the key, indicating a significant lack of immediate, in-person support. This experience suggests potential challenges with accessibility to staff and a reliance on self-service for entry, which might not be ideal for all travelers, especially those expecting traditional front desk assistance. Conversely, another review praises "Customer service was top notch" and states that "Owners were incredible to work with and very accommodating and helpful." This stark contrast in service perception implies that guest experience might be highly variable, possibly depending on the timing of arrival or the specific contact made. For users on "Hotels Near Of Me," understanding this potential inconsistency is crucial.

When it comes to features, the reviews offer distinct perspectives. The positive review highlights "Beautiful and homely rooms," which suggests attention to aesthetic appeal and comfort. This is a desirable feature for guests seeking a pleasant and relaxing stay. However, the negative review provides a detailed account of several concerning room features and maintenance issues. While the room was a "good size," this was deemed "the only good thing." Specific problems included "bulbs in the fixtures were burned out," indicating a lack of basic maintenance. The bathroom was described as "falling apart," with issues like "tub fixtures, peeling wallpaper, a rusty towel rack." These details point to significant wear and tear and a need for renovation or repair, which can greatly impact a guest's comfort and perception of cleanliness. Furthermore, the issue of "extremely thin" walls, allowing a guest to hear "everything" from a loudly playing TV in the adjacent, seemingly only other occupied room, is a major concern regarding noise insulation and privacy. The lack of "no one to talk to about it in the middle of the night" exacerbates this issue, highlighting a lack of emergency or overnight staff presence for immediate problem resolution. These contrasting descriptions of room features underscore the variability in guest experiences at The Milestone Inn.

Promotional information, while not explicitly provided as marketing copy, can be inferred from the customer reviews. The positive review, with its "Recommend 10/10" and praise for "Beautiful and homely rooms," acts as a strong, organic promotion. It suggests that, for some guests, the experience was exceptionally positive, highlighting comfort and excellent customer interaction with the owners. This kind of authentic endorsement can be very persuasive for potential guests exploring "Hotels Near Of Me." However, the strong negative advice, "Don't stay here. Pay a couple of bucks more and stay somewhere decent," serves as a direct counter-promotion. This kind of feedback from a dissatisfied customer is equally important for an objective introduction, as it reveals potential pitfalls that guests should be prepared for. The disparity in promotional messaging, one being highly positive and the other strongly deterrent, underscores the inconsistent nature of the guest experience at The Milestone Inn.

In conclusion, The Milestone Inn, located at 146 S Pomperaug Ave, Woodbury, CT 06798, USA, and reachable at (203) 405-6261 or +1 203-405-6261, presents a complex profile for users of the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform. While some guests have lauded its "beautiful and homely rooms" and "top notch" customer service from accommodating owners, others have reported significant issues with initial check-in procedures, lack of available staff, and severe maintenance problems within the rooms, including non-functional lights, dilapidated bathrooms, and poor sound insulation. The environment, while potentially quiet due to low occupancy, may also come with challenges related to noise from adjacent rooms if occupied. Therefore, potential guests considering The Milestone Inn should be aware of the highly variable nature of past guest experiences. It appears that while some may find a pleasant and accommodating stay, others might encounter considerable challenges with maintenance, basic amenities, and immediate staff support. Users of "Hotels Near Of Me" are advised to weigh these conflicting reviews carefully against their own priorities for comfort, service, and facility condition before making a booking decision.

This motor hotel is a decent value and surprisingly quiet and well kept for a drive-up and park joint. The room was nice, not especially elegant but not trashed, exactly what you'd want for a budget place to rest your bones. The down- side for our stay was that check in is entirely via phone and electronic keypad. No staff on desk duty. If everything goes smoothly, that works fine. But if there's an issue like we had with a mis-labelled reservation, youre on your own. In fairness, the hotel was efficient about how they responded once the problem was fixed and it wasn't their fault, it was a glitch in the third-party dot-com reservation, but we had to do all the back-and-forth calling. Zero help from the motel itself and a mostly indifferent attitude over the phone. If you want no frills rest, this place is definitely better than Motel 6, but don't look for pampering.

I can't get over how clean it was! It is quiet... you hear no doors slamming all night, no flushing toilets or shower noise, no kids loudly carrying on running up and down halls or stairs. It is simple and peaceful. Coffee pot and fridge worked great and there were plenty of towels. I work at an upscale Inn in NYS and it is habit to go into a room looking at everything. The sheets were tight and clean, no hairs anywhere, bed was comfy, and no dust on anything. We travel alot and this will be our new place to stay. Late check in was easy and the woman who helped us by phone was very friendly.Thank you!

The owners are very nice and accommodating. The room decor is extremely well done and very clean. The beds are ridiculously comfortable like the pillows. It's a motel where one could meditate. I highly recommend this motel for anyone seeking a peaceful night. Kudos to you Milestone!
