Great location and the check-in and bell staff were great!! The hotel and room itself was a bit tired and worn out. There are old couches and chairs when you get off the elevator along with a musty smell. The room was a little better, but still showing it's age. The carpet, couch, and other furniture in our suite was definitely 30+ years old. There is only 1 air conditioning wall unit, like something you'd see at a Red Roof Inn or Super 8, with the old style turn knobs. It kept the living area nice, but the bedroom could get a bit warm, although there was a ceiling fan. For as much as we paid to stay here we were thinking it would be somewhat remodeled since opening. Even the luggage cart we used was on it's last leg... literally. Maybe other rooms are a lot nicer than our 1-bedroom suite, but I don't know how this can be considered a Four Diamond resort any longer. But our kids loved the arcade and outdoor activities, and the spa was wonderful. Dining options however were not so great though. We felt like we were in a ghost town, eating basically alone our first night at the Concourse, and one morning at Ottos. Both restaurants we wouldn't ever return to, the food was not good at all and the service was lacking.

Just Beautiful. We stayed in a suite for our Anniversary. Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped courtyard and a view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay very much The lake is just gorgeous and the pontoon boat ride with Captain Doug was very enjoyable. Relaxing by the lake, watching the kids and families playing were also great.

Elkhart Lake is a gem, a 120 foot deep clear spring fed lake with many points of interest nearby: Wade House Historic Site, state bike and hiking trails, the Kettle Moraine forest, and one of the best race tracks in the US, Road America. We have been staying at the Osthoff for a few years, valuing the small kitchen, nice balcony and views of the great lawn and lake. We've stayed about everywhere in E.L., and the Osthoff is the most comfortable.

Over rated. Halls do not have AC, they smell like food (room service) and dirty towels. Nice floor plan but very dated. Nicked up woodwork, Stove, fridge-older white appliances and poor amount of kitchen utensils/plates. It’s suppose to be a AAA diamond resort. When we arrived we had to find someone to wash the kitchen floor, it was dirty and sticky, I found a contact lens on the floor, chips under the dining room table(no one vaccumed) and garbage with food under sink.

This resort is secluded. You need to have a car to get around to other places. They only have two restaurants at the resort which are Otto's and the Concourse. Neither one was fully functional at this time which made it hard for us to get a decent meal. The food that we were served was cold and had no taste, and the service was slow. They also had construction going on all weekend which was nerve wrecking... How do you get a relaxing getaway when the spa retreat you go to has construction noise throughout the weekend that was ridiculous. I was unable to get a good nap. We even had our church dinner which was pre-ordered and it was subpar-bland & cold. However the rooms were lovely with a full kitchen and separate bedrooms.. and the view was lovely minus some of the construction work, and all in all a nice relaxing time. Make sure to be prepared by either getting an Uber or renting a car so you'll be able to get around to find other things to do. No this is not an all inclusive resort...so you will have to pay for all of your meals & any other entertainment you want to do and also your spa treatments. They did have live entertainment which was nice and you can rent bikes to get around.
