The location is excellent-I love Rittenhouse. The lobby was beautiful and flanked by an amazing restaurant and a cute cafe. The staff are lovely. The rooms are renovated to a point, but still feel their age. Everything was clean and the housekeeping staff was thorough. My only complaint was that I didn’t have a hot shower during my stay. The water went from warm on the first day to ice cold the next day. I would inquire about the hot water before reconsidering a repeat stay.

Feb 14, 2025 · Tanya MaloneyThis is an unfortunate review to write because my expectations were not super high but i at least had a standard expectation. The rooms aren’t cared for, dirty, broken side tables, missing soaps, janky doors. The front desk staff is carelessly rude about accommodating for the inconveniences. For being apart of the Marriott Bonvoy, this definitely isn’t worth spending points or out of pocket cost to stay here. ALSO they somehow have a picture of a pool on google but when asked about the pool the front desk staff responded with “did you see it advertised online- yeaaaa sorry about that no.” The location is the only plus about this hotel but then again, there are other hotels near by to stay as well. Another plus is the valet, they were very kind welcoming and helpful.
Apr 18, 2025 · Kimjoy LongI’ve never written a review of a hotel stay before. I’m only writing this because google just sent me a notification to do so. This was the most disorganized hotel I’ve ever encountered. I booked 2 double bed rooms on 3/1/25. We arrived at 3:30 and were told our rooms would be ready by 5:00pm and they would text us when it was ready. We were taken back a little however we just dropped our bags with the bellmen and went exploring the city. We arrived back at 5:30 after receiving no text and were informed that only 1 of our rooms were ready. All 4 of us guys just figured we would drop our bags and head to dinner and after dinner check into the second room when it was ready. Upon entering the room there were no towels whatsoever, not even a wash clothe. We skipped showers (didn’t really have a choice) and headed to dinner. We arrived back to the hotel at 8:30pm and went up to the front desk and informed them that we needed to check into our second room. The woman at the desk told me she’s going to have to “walk me”. Extremely confused, I asked what do you mean “walk me” and she responded again with a direct “we need to walk you.” I said walk me where, my room? She said no we need to walk you to our sister hotel. Still confused I asked what did she mean, would she be physically walking me somewhere? She said no our second room will not be available and we will have to try and place you at one of our sister hotels. We were only in town for one night so we didn’t have the time to be walked all over the city or whatever she meant by that. We just said that’s fine and the 4 men would share 2 double beds. We left to go explore more of the city, came back and tried to share beds and sleep in the only room. At 1am, after the impossibility of 4 large men trying to share 2 double beds, we went down to the lobby and asked if they had any other rooms available. They said no and we expressed our frustration that we booked 2 rooms and were only given one. He looked up our reservation and said oh your second room is ready, you should have been texted. We were never texted and we were told it wouldn’t be available at all for us to use. We proceeded to our second room which happened to be fully stocked with towels. At 1:30 we could finally get some sleep, or a shower. It’s been weeks and I’m still trying to process this. If someone from Marriott would like to reach out I’m a gold elite member that didn’t call Marriott because I just wanted to forget this experience. Which I did until prompted with this review.
Mar 22, 2025 · Drew GladulichBehind a veneer of luxury: disfunction, shoddy infrastructure, and unreliable service. At check in: Front desk staff was courteous and well intentioned, but undertrained and overwhelmed: unfamiliar with the IT system and unable to retrieve our reservation until the manager came in to show them how to use the system. We went through the check in line three times. First room had a pungent smell, second had a broken A/C with water leaking from it on the floor; third one worked but had plumbing issues (hot water and another issue) during our stay. We notified the front desk but nothing was done to address the issue. That said, the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the location just next to Rittenhouse Square is great. Overall: Marriott properties used to hold a certain standard across their portfolio which we were expecting here. We don’t recommend this hotel until it gets its act together.
May 18, 2025 · Daniel van den BerghMy husband booked two rooms- each to have two single beds. The reservation was confirmed twice to ensure no problems. Upon arrival they were informed that the rooms were two king beds and they coukd roll up a cot for my husband. The point of a reservation is to hold the room as you requested. Apparently not at this hotel. The room had a clogged sink and the toilet ran all night . We are disappointed and will not stay here again. My husband was not even offered any type of compensation and then was charged for parking. Very very disappointed
