Staff are wonderful & very kind. However, when I asked about a discount for having to deal with a rat & cockroach infestation, they gave me "sticky pad mouse traps". 5 traps. After having them out for 3 days and nights, I was able to catch 6 of the little critters. Not to mention the 10-20 cockroaches that also found their demise on the sticky pad traps. I did get more sticky pad traps at the front desk & after my 4 week stay there, I was able to capture 11 more mice & countless cockroaches. Bunch of baby ones. This place needs to be sprayed down, maybe even burnt down. Again, no problem with the kind folks running the place or rather working here but the owners need to take better care of the place. Rent is very reasonable, I'm guessing that there is approximately 120 available rooms. I was told when I checked in that this room was the last one available. Rent is $336.oo per week. Most of these renters are living here, long term. If these owners are collecting $39,720 weekly that's $158,880 monthly. Why would they be so inconsiderate and not provide these Tenant's with pest control ??? It's absolutely outrageous. Last I checked, pest control for the two buildings would be about $15-20 thousand per year. Why would someone earning in excess of more than 1 million a year be so cheap as to not consider the health and wellbeing of the very people that pay that to him/her/them.
Hello, Maryland locals! Sometimes, life calls for a more extended stay than a typical hotel can comfortably or affordably accommodate. Whether you're in between homes, on a long-term work assignment, or welcoming family for an extended visit, an extended stay hotel can be a practical solution. In Parkville, Maryland, you'll find The Welcome Inn, located at 8729 Loch Bend Dr, Parkville, MD 21234, USA. This establishment positions itself as an economical choice for those needing accommodations for more than just a few nights, offering weekly rates that can be significantly more budget-friendly than daily hotel stays.
It's important to approach any accommodation choice with a clear understanding of what to expect, especially with extended stay options that prioritize value. While it aims to provide a roof over your head at a reasonable price, it's essential for potential guests to consider their specific needs and priorities. This article will provide an overview of The Welcome Inn, discussing its location, the services it offers for longer-term guests, and its suitability for those in Maryland seeking a highly economical and extended lodging solution.
The Welcome Inn is situated at 8729 Loch Bend Dr, Parkville, MD 21234, USA. Parkville is a community in Baltimore County, Maryland, offering a suburban setting with relatively good access to various parts of the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. The hotel's location off Loch Bend Drive places it in a more localized area, often quieter than directly on a major highway.
One of the key advantages of this location, as highlighted by the hotel's own information, is its convenient accessibility. It is "conveniently located off of the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), exit 29B, Loch Raven Boulevard." This direct access to I-695 means that guests can easily connect to major interstate highways like I-83 and I-95, facilitating travel to downtown Baltimore, Towson, Hunt Valley, White Marsh, and even Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). This connectivity is crucial for extended stay guests who might be working or visiting across different areas of the region.
The hotel also emphasizes its proximity to public transportation, being "on the #3 bus line," which offers an option for those without personal vehicles. Furthermore, the area surrounding The Welcome Inn typically includes "dining and shopping within walking distance," providing essential conveniences for long-term residents. Nearby commercial centers like Towson Town Center and White Marsh Mall are also within reasonable driving distance, offering extensive retail and dining choices. This blend of suburban tranquility with strategic access points makes it a practical base for extended stays in the Baltimore County area.
As an extended stay hotel, The Welcome Inn focuses on providing fundamental services and amenities designed to support guests during longer periods, often with a focus on self-sufficiency and cost-effectiveness. Based on available public information, the services typically offered include:
It's important for guests to verify the exact amenities provided in their specific room type upon booking, especially concerning kitchen facilities, as these can vary between standard rooms and dedicated extended stay apartments.
The Welcome Inn in Parkville, as an extended stay option, has several features and highlights that appeal to budget-conscious and long-term guests, particularly focusing on practicality and value.
As an independent extended stay motel primarily focused on weekly rates, The Welcome Inn may not offer the same type of seasonal or loyalty-program promotions that large hotel chains do. However, its core offering of a lower weekly rate is itself a significant "special offer" for long-term stays.
While specific, advertised promotions might not be readily found, the value proposition lies in:

For Maryland locals, The Welcome Inn in Parkville is primarily suitable for those in very specific situations where an extremely economical and long-term accommodation solution is the absolute top priority. It's not a hotel for a luxury getaway or a short business trip; rather, it caters to a niche market within our community.
Its main appeal lies in its affordability, particularly its weekly rates. For locals facing an unexpected home renovation, a temporary relocation for work within the state, or needing a very low-cost bridge housing solution, the reported weekly rent makes it one of the most budget-friendly options available. The presence of kitchen facilities in some units and an on-site laundromat are crucial amenities that allow for a degree of self-sufficiency and further cost savings on food and laundry, which is vital for extended stays.
The hotel's convenient location near the Baltimore Beltway also ensures that even while staying in a quieter Parkville neighborhood, guests retain relatively easy access to employment centers, medical facilities, and family across the greater Baltimore area. For someone facing a challenging situation or on a very tight budget who needs a roof over their head for weeks or months, The Welcome Inn offers a highly economical alternative to rapidly accumulating nightly hotel charges. However, as noted in customer reviews, potential long-term guests should manage expectations regarding property condition and inquire directly about current efforts to maintain comfort and safety for all residents. It represents a bare-bones, practical solution for extended stays when budget is the primary driver.

Jun 06, 2024 · Kimberly RutlandI stayed at this place for 2 years. I had just lost my home due to finances & was under pretrail investigation. I'm open & honest when I share this. I'm an introvert & mind my business for the most part. However, even during police survellience I became a target of gangstalking, my phone was hacked, wifi restricted, camera put in my room etc. During the stay a staff employee allowed someone to break in my home & steal my information. He no longer works there conveniently. I had a woman come to my door impersonating housekeeping and then a police officer. People sent a child with a card key to my room & tried to break in. My ex , babymother Renee had her son play on my cellphone. (Note at the time I could not interact with anyone 18 or younger) There was this diré need to get me imprisoned even if the circumstance was created. My name has been slandered & many people were networking to create many illusions around my lifestyle & character to steal my children, finances & whatever else they could live off. I tried to speak with the office several times but the black woman Renee turned a blind eye . I was also attacked with a sort of energy device. At one point , Renee did come up to see what I was talking about and agreed what was happening wasn't normal.. However, her attitude changed towards me days later. I was denied to speak to any higher up. I have been castigated & marginalized against. At that place, only one person was profesional but i was treated like animal even though my husband paid my rent on time and spent over $10k to do so. Stay at your own risk. If anyone wonder why I didn't file a police report. I tried but there were some tried cops involved to protect the hotel.i have nothing against law enforcement & had no prior criminal history of anything. My total experience involved hate crimes, civil rights violated, & antagonized. The white owner was aware. I wonder how many upgraded to the hotel happened after the contract in August2022 look the other way. People did alot to try to unalive me and get everyone to not even listen to what i had to say,so the illusion would be broken for someone of morales & ethics to actually stand in the upright. I'm just a being trying to create a strong foundation that wasn't quite there in the 1st place because I was still building. Truth is stranger than fiction.
