A real nice stay. It was very clean. Easy to get to from hwy. It had a nice view. Short drive to town and lake. The price was also reasonable. Some people mentioned spider webs, but I saw none on inside. I think every room was very clean. The bed was also pretty comfortable.

Features: Home-Like Comforts and Practical Amenities
The Wrens Nest Chalet, as a vacation rental, is designed to provide guests with the conveniences of a private home. Based on information available for similar properties and general chalet descriptions, it typically features multiple bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate families or small groups. Reviews indicate it is a "very clean" property, which is crucial for guest comfort. Key amenities usually include a "fully equipped kitchen" with modern appliances like a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker, along with essential cookware and utensils, enabling guests to prepare their own meals. The living areas often include comfortable seating, a fireplace (which can be a significant draw in cooler months), and entertainment options such as a TV with cable or satellite service. Complimentary Wi-Fi is generally available, ensuring guests can stay connected. The chalet is likely equipped with air conditioning and heating for year-round comfort. Outdoor spaces are a highlight, often featuring a furnished balcony or deck with seating to enjoy the "nice view." Some chalets may also include outdoor grills for barbecues and a private yard. Reviews mention "comfortable beds," contributing to a restful stay. While some feedback notes areas that "could really use a deep cleaning" or "mild sprucing up," such as spiderwebs, missing blind turner pieces, and lack of extra toilet paper, another review emphasizes that "every room was very clean" and "I saw none on inside," suggesting varying experiences or improvements over time. The chalet likely has a washer and dryer on-site, a valuable amenity for longer stays.
Services: Self-Service Model with Host Support
As a private vacation rental, The Wrens Nest Chalet operates on a self-service model, distinct from a traditional hotel with a staffed front desk. Guests typically receive instructions for "self check-in," allowing for flexible arrival times. Communication with the property owner or manager is usually facilitated through messaging or phone, with hosts aiming to be responsive to guest needs and inquiries. While general cleaning services are included in the rental fee, some vacation rentals expect guests to perform minor tasks upon departure, such as emptying trash and gathering linens, which was mentioned in one review as a point of contention ("shouldn't the cleaning services I am paying for take care of that?"). This highlights an important distinction between hotel and vacation rental expectations. However, positive reviews emphasize a "very pleasant and nice staff" and "sweet and wholesome" interactions, likely referring to the responsiveness and helpfulness of the property management or owners when contacted. The provision of initial supplies (like toilet paper) can vary, and guests might need to bring additional items for longer stays. The overall service philosophy aims to provide a private, undisturbed experience while offering support when needed, ensuring a comfortable and independent stay.

Jul 24, 2022 · Gordon RaynerIt could really use a deep cleaning and a mild sprucing up. Many spiderwebs inside between the windows and blinds. Most blinds missing turner piece to close the blinds. No garbage bags in some trash cans. Floors could use a good mopping and a polish. Chandeliers and light fuxtures had many spiderwebs. Lack of extra toilet paper. Had to empty own trash and take all linens down to the wash --- shouldn't the cleaning services I am paying for take care of that? (And the cobwebs) One toilet had a slow leak. Doors were hard to open on the back porch. All furniture on the front porch could use a cleaning.
Aug 25, 2018 · Jaclyn Croft-PalmerSpider webs galore. Needs dusting. No paper towels. Two half rolls of toilet tissue. Already made a trip to the Dollar Store for Charmin and Bounty. No kitchen towels or dish cloths. Needs deep cleaning. I usually move things when I dust and don’t just dust around them. Glad I brought my Allegra. NO COFFEE POT!!!!! Guess I should have gotten one of those at the DG. while I was there. Whoever heard of not having a coffee pot. There was one in the closet but it’s not working! Guess that’s why it was in the closet. So I wonder what the cleaning fee is for. The night is still young. Hope the beds sleep good. Our first trip away from home in years. Wish I was back home!
