My kids (and furkids) had a great week at Tranquille Resort. We were in Unit 5 (the three bedroom), and it was so warm an cozy. By the end of the week, it felt like our home. The property is so beautiful, and the views were just amazing. Hint: Sunrise and Sunset are best viewed out on top of the boat dock - see my pics. I've added both night and day pics so you can see that the place even looks great at night when it is all lit up. Jennifer was a wonderful host, and Katelyn (sp?) makes a magical hot chocolate in the café! Our furkids ABSOLUTELY loved sitting in the chair in the kitchen window (see my last pic) where they could watch the squirrels and birds right outside, and also any activity (boats, and geese on our trip) on the lake. Do yourselves a favor and go for at least 3 days so you can experience this quiet treasure tucked away in the mountains of North Georgia.

Our stay at Tranquille Resort was truly magical! The boutique cabin was the perfect fit for our family of four, cozy, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully maintained. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains were absolutely breathtaking. We loved fishing off the dock, relaxing by the fire pit, and watching the kids enjoy the play areas. The location felt like a hidden gem, peaceful and tucked away, yet just minutes from Hiawassee’s top spots like Bell Mountain, Hamilton Gardens, and the Lake Chatuge Dam Trail. Every detail of the resort felt serene and intentional. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming about our return. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful mountain-lake escape!

This was our second time staying at Tranquille Resort, and unfortunately, this visit wasn't as pleasant as the last. First, we were disappointed to find that Amelia's Cafe was closed all during our stay. I think the cafe should remain open for guests, even on weekdays. Additionally, the cabin wasn’t as clean as expected. We found someone's fake eyelashes stuck on a bed frame, which was quite off-putting. Lastly, there were a ton of stink bugs in the cabin, especially in the loft. That being said, the overall experience was still very nice and peaceful. The cabins are adorable, and the view is absolutely stunning. Despite everything, we would still consider returning in the future! Update: I wanted to thank the resort for making things right even when they did not have to!!

Cabin 4 was very nice. It was clean and stocked with everything you will need for a stay. Plenty of room for our family of 2 and 2 dogs. Love that it is dog friendly. Lake is down as normal. Would be very nice in the spring or fall. Mountains were pretty.
