Scott and Cara were the best hosts. They were so welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived on the property. I stayed in one of the glampers and it was very well-equipped, super clean and cozy. The quiet and peaceful surrounding was the cherry on top. Thank you, Cara and Scott, for such a great 'glamping' experience!

One of the most compelling reasons for North Carolinians to visit is the perfect blend of natural immersion and modern comfort – the essence of "glamping." Many of us love the idea of camping, the campfire stories, and sleeping under the stars, but might shy away from the rigors of traditional tent camping. Wild Hare Retreat & Glampers provides the ideal solution. You get to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, walk by the creek, and sit by a pre-set firepit, all while having access to a cozy queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen (complete with stove, microwave, and fridge), running hot water for long showers, and even Wi-Fi and Netflix for those moments you want to reconnect or unwind indoors. Furthermore, the retreat's location in Glade Valley, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, makes it an easy drive for most North Carolinians. The proximity to local treasures like Stone Mountain State Park (just 25 minutes away with its waterfalls and hiking) and the charming towns of Sparta and Galax for local dining and breweries (like Williamson Mead & Brewing or Laconia Brewery) means you'll have plenty of options for exploration and entertainment without having to plan an elaborate, cross-country trip. The friendly hosts, Cara and Scott, also provide invaluable local insights, helping you discover hidden gems that only locals would know about.

Finally, for those with furry family members, the explicit pet-friendly policy (allowing small pets with advance notice) is a huge draw. It means you don't have to leave your beloved dog behind, making your family getaway truly complete. The availability of green space for pets further enhances this convenience. In essence, Wild Hare Retreat & Glampers provides a convenient, comfortable, and uniquely North Carolina experience that allows us to fully appreciate the beauty of our own state's mountains, relax in style, and create lasting memories without a long journey.

Cara & Scott are really great hosts. Cara was very helpful and friendly and shared a lot of info on things that we could do, and places to visit nearby, she was always very responsive and took care of every aspect of our stay! It's a beautiful RV with stove, Internet, running hot water, microwave, fridge, TV, Netflix subscriptions and you could work from home if you want to! Lots of water from the spring so you could take very long showers even though you're in the RV. I took a bath in the nearby creek within Cara's property! Stone mountain Park, Widow's creek waterfalls and Stone mountain falls are just 25 minutes away! we would definitely visit Cara's place again and enjoy the beautiful night sky sitting by the campfire!

Cara and Scott exemplified extraordinary warmth, generosity, and excellence. They exceeded our expectations, creating a homey atmosphere. We delighted in our campfire nights and the tranquil sounds of nature. The artisanal water was revitalizing, and the peaches were mouthwatering. The location is superb for stargazing. Our avion camper stay aligned with the listing. We express gratitude to Cara and Scott for a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning, attracted by the location and the chance to see Cara and Scott again.

outstanding facilities and hospitality! Convenient location to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mount Airy, as well as plenty of eateries nearby. Stayed here before, and if we could rate it higher than five stars, we would! Cara and Scott are great hosts.

After three consecutive days of cycling on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wild Hare Retreat was just the "retreat" we needed! The convenient and quiet location just yards off the parkway couldn't have been more convenient. The grounds are beautiful and the historic structures and vintage RVs are so cool! Be sure to ask about the natural spring. We opted for the glamping in an RV experience and were totally delighted. The real surprise, though, was the hospitality of the proprietors, Cara and Scott. As soon as we arrived at the end of a long day of riding, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated. We had some logistical challenges related to our cycling journey, and they went waaaaay above and beyond to make sure our trip went alright. I really can't say enough about them, their property, and the general ethos. Thank you, Cara and Scott, for a wonderful experience! We'll definitely be back. You should go too!
